Reviews for Hotel LB Villa De Cuenca
Review 1:We knew this hotel was outside Cuenca, but it was a little off-putting driving into an industrial estate to find it.
Review 2:Despite the strange location, the hotel was was smart inside, the room was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We were there at the weekend meaning the bar and restaurant were closed, but there was a selection of food available for room service.
Review 3:For us, a minor negative was that there is no air conditioning, but with the windows open this was adequate to keep our room cool enough for the night, during a hot July. Location of the hotel was not listed on our Garmin GPS, but with the aid of Google Maps we could eye-ball the location and set a Favourite marker on our unit....the streets are visible on our Garmin, but just not the street name...not an issue to find though.
Review 4:Though the staff here do not speak much English, they are very friendly and are willing to try and convey their message with a smile. Some may not like the non-downtown location but for us it was a positive to be in a quiet, albeit industrial area...there is not much around the property but we had a car and could drive into town easily and quickly. There is plenty of free street parking available outside the hotel. The washroom was pleasantly nice and modern. We arrived late, after 9:00pm, but decided to take a night drive into town (http://goo.gl/maps/vW66I), to the Cuenca Cathedral, and continued farther up towards the old ruins of Muralla (Bezudo Arch and Wall), and join the MANY locals out for a late midnight drink and tapas...look for free public parking lot next to the tourist booth, across the road from address "Calle Larga, 41, 16001 Cuenca"
Review 5:The hotel is in a trading estate south of Cuenca and miles from anywhere, other than the warehouses & factories which surround it. Only food available was microwaved pizza/paella. Rooms are small, modern & not well laid out. Sound insulation is poor, so noise all night long and bed not comfortable. Breakfast relatively poor. Whilst the guy at reception was very helpful, check-out not particularly interested.
Review 6:Our original booking was unilaterally cancelled by another hotel. Thankfully, as all hotels in Spain are full at Easter, Booking.com came up with an alternative and we took it. This was good. Also good was the fact that the guy at the hotel, who seemed to be doing the reception, bar and kitchen was extremely helpful and friendly, no matter how busy it was. The only other positive about the hotel was that it was clean.
Review 7:The beds were not big enough for my husband (6 ft 4 inches). It was quiet until the dog guarding the warehouse next door started barking. And Monday morning early workers started making all kinds of noise.
Review 8:The staff was excellent and very helpful. The hotel is in an industrial area so on the weekend it was fairly quiet.
Review 9:Location of the hotel is only good if you travel by car Also we had some problems in a bathroom that finally were not fixed by a staff
Review 10:The room was clean, in general hotel is ok for its price
Review 11:15 euros in taxi into main part of town
Review 12:comfortable with good staff
Review 13:A bit difficult to find initially.
Review 14:It was value for money
Review 15:The peace
Review 16:Location
Review 17:Everything else
Review 18:The hotel was not in a good location and could not believe the restaurant and bar closes for the weekends. We would not have booked if we had known this before hand.
Review 19:The hotel was comfortable and very clean.
Review 20:am slightly disabled and it was a fair walk from lift to room did not see section on booking
Review 21:food and staff excellant nice and clean rooms and hotel excellant
Review 22:Helpful front desk, clean, modern big room, secure basement parking for motorcycle, excellent price, good selection at breakfast buffet, mini-fridge in room. Free WiFi. Fast food menu available 24/7. There is a bar-cafeteria. Hotel is located in an industrial estate, so not the most romantic, but perfect for a stopover.
Review 23:I was just using the hotel as a rest stop on the way from Madrid to Benicassim so was perfect for me, but for someone without a hire car may find the hotel a bit out of the way as it is some way outside of Cuenca in an industrial area.
Review 24:Friendly and efficient service Good food Reasonably priced rooms food and drink Beautifully designed in the communal areas and the rooms High quality facilities On-site parking
Review 25:we found it very handy. helpful personel, but no english spoken ideal quick stop off
