Reviews for La Posada del Arco

Review 1:The house was really well-designed and built, but not with toddlers in mind,unfortunately...The uneven, rough stone floors and steep stairs are not really child-safe and this should have been advertized. Even me and my pregnant wife had some tough time while trying to keep ourselves and our little daughter safe. The latter proved a lot more challenging than we had expected. During our stay our daughter fell and hurt herself badly due to uneven stone-paved floor in the main living area. We loved the design-it loked great, but not safe enough for kids, I'm afraid. We were lucky enough she required no medical aid,but it was pretty bad. The dent and the huge bump on her forehead are still there to remind us of our visit to Chinchon. The house had all the amenities except...an electric kettle...We had to resort using the electric stove instead-not a great option,if you want to save time. The narrow, meandering streets are excellent for strong-footed, experienced walkers, but much less so if you are a two-year-old girl or a pregnant woman...Romantic, scenic, rustic-yes. Child and car-safe was it definitely not. Getting to Chinchon was pretty challenging, too. It would've helped us save a few nerve-wrecking hours, if proper driving directions had been provided. The owner spoke NOT A SINGLE WORD OF ENGLISH!Luckily, my Spanish had come in handy.

Review 2:Hotel totally in keeping with the town ( quite quirky),great central location.Value for money excellent and a lovely lady that welcomed us. We managed to get by with our very poor Spanish, English not spoken. We stayed one night and could not have needed more. Not a luxurious hotel but fresh white linen and towels,Wifi worked well as did the air con. Parked car nearby in blue parking zone. One suggestion: take ear plugs as we completely forgot that in rural areas, around 4 a.m the clock strikes the hours twice!! every hour- happened to us in France last year.

Review 3:Parking was difficult to find and get into. Don't follow the GPS, it will try to take you through narrow twisty streets.

Review 4:Quiet, close to the main plaza, everything close by. Apartment had everything required for our short stay. Quick, friendly and efficient check-in process.

Review 5:The staff do not speak much English, and we struggled to understand how we were to get the keys out of office hours. We also had an issue largely because you have to park away from the property, and we came in from the South, where parking is some distance away from the Place Mayor. A more efficient route would have been to come in from the North. Driving down the side streets is extremely nerve racking.

Review 6:A very exciting and interesting town and very good accommodation. We stayed only for one night on a Feast Day, and didn't get much sleep with the parties and bull taunting! We will be back.

Review 7:There was no safe parking.

Review 8:The owner was very good and allowed us park our car at her home because we were loaded up heading to the ferry and there was no safe parking

Review 15:The description said surrounded by vines and olive groves but it isright in the middle of the village, with no parking, I specificallyasked for parking and pets allowed, we were traveling from Malaga andhad to park about 500 m from the hotel, they should change thedescription of the location.

Review 16:The facilities were very good and the location was excellent if youwanted to visit the village.
