Review 1：The front of the hotel is surrounded by a parking lot so try to get a room at the back with a view of Iznajar.

Review 2：The location was picturesque, private and very special (you look out across the water to a mountain with an ancient fortress hanging off the side of a cliff). The hotel is somewhat isolated, about a 30 minute walk to the town. The pool looked wonderful though we did not get in, the hotel was clean and staff was very accommodating. (On the morning of our departure we left as the moon was setting and the sun was rising - exquisite - and the staff prepared us sandwiches for breakfast to take on our journey, which were delicious.)

Review 3：Hotel had problem with water pressure, but explained it was out of their control, it was repaired as we were leaving. Otherwise we would easily have given a higher score as everything else was perfect.

Review 4：Beautiful location on the edge of the lake. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable for a good nights sleep and the room was very clean. This was our third visit and we hope to go back again.

Review 7：The evening food was hit and miss. One meal was still frozen. We ate out most of the time. With a good chef the place would have been perfect but at least we got to visit a few local restaurants but sometimes after a day's visiting we would have enjoyed staying in to dine with a drink!

Review 9：We spent seven nights at this hotel whilst attending a wedding nearby and were delighted with our choice. The Hotel is worth more than its current two star rating with its spacious rooms and public areas all finished in simple but tasteful decor and feels every part a traditional Spanish building. The whole place is kept spotlessly clean. The small staff contingent were always cheerfull and friendly and all mixed in with the various house-keeping and bar duties. We have very limited Spanish but there was never a problem, some member of staff was always available and happy to help out. We did not inform the hotel that one of us is Gluten Free as this sometimes restricts un-necesarily, however the manager picked up on this diet and went out of the way to get in gluten free supplies and stored the supplies we had taken out from UK in their fridge and all staff were made aware. The outside pool was not large but again was spotless and gave fantastic views over the reservoir and hillsides. The outside Terrace bar also had fantastic views and provided very handy BBQ meals and snacks till very late. We loved our stay at the Hotel and its rural location and would not hesitate to return.

Review 10：Very good value for money. I do not expect 5-star facilities for 50 euros including breakfast. The dinner trout cooked on the open-fire close to the dining tables was very tasty. Very helpful staff, rather over hard-working I observed.

Review 14：The hotel was excellent as were the staff. Food was delicious be it breakfast or in the restaurant. I would highly recommend the hotel as a secret getaway with lakeside beach within walking distance.

Review 15：The air conditioning stopped us sleeping. It is very old and in August just doesn’t work and so too hot to sleep.

Review 17：The hotel is nicely located at a lake and additionally has its own pool. We used it for bathing vacation and traveled to larger cities every other day, even to Gibraltar. This was fun.

Review 18：Room needed a new toilet brush - not very hygienic. Also a fan would have been useful as air con was not too good. Had wrong change given for bottle of wine at evening meal, hope it was a genuine mistake - soon rectified.

Review 22：You could not sleep!! The restaurant is in the middle of the hotel,like a courtyard and the bedrooms wrap around it, the eco wasincredibly! You heard everything! Extremely noisey from not only guestbut from people who come to use the hotels bar and restaurant whodon't seem to be kicked out at a reasonable time but go on tillgone midnight on some nights. The bed is rock hard almost floor likewith no give in it at all.

Review 28：Our room (206) was very welcoming and spacious. The staff accommodated my poor spanish and willing to help me pick up some additional words and phrases. We stayed on half-board terms. The breakfast was excellent: a bowl of freshly chopped fruit; orange juice; cured meat, processed meat and cheese; toasted bread with a preserve, marmalade and salsa. My wife and I found the starters for the evening meal to be better than the main courses but that could be a matter of personal taste. The portions were very generous.

Review 34：The staff here are amazing and flexible. The rooms are comfy and large with nice views of the lake, if requested. The food is great and breakfast is basic but plenty with toast marmalades, cheese, hams and juices and tea. There is plenty if parking and excellent restaurants within walking distance, although food at the hotel is great and ever so popular with the locals. Definitely recommend this hotel as a home from home.

Review 35：The place felt like the hotel in The Shining. Just no one there. And huge. Prob busy in the summer, but winter was abit dead.

Went for an evening meal, I sent my meal back as it was swimming in fat. Ordered another meal, waiter took order and then came back and told me they did not have it so I declined another choice. He then came back 10 mins later banged cutlery in front of me and told me they did. I declined this meal not knowing where they had gotten the ingredients from. They then overcharged us by 8 euro for a bottle of wine. Just the one waiter run of his feet and very rude. The location is not within walking distance of any other restaurants

Review 48：The location was brilliant overlooking the lake and with easy access to Iznajar (interesting place). Just behind the hotel was a large sandy beach with a beach bar. The outside restaurant had a very interesting menu and also with views over the lake. The breakfast area was a lovely space and the(included) breakfast was basic but tasty and sufficient. It was also good that the swimming pool was open (in mid September). All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 51：As we did not use the wi fi we would have liked to be able to access English news channel on the TV. There is a ban on fishing in the reservoir, at the moment which was a dissapointment as we had taken fishing equipment with us.

Review 109：While staff was very pleasant, the facilities did not meet up. The pool was disappointingly dirty, along with the general facilities. The beds were very uncomfortable. This hotel has great potential, but needs major remodeling. Definitely not recommended & overpriced!
