Reviews for El Rento Alojamiento Rural
Review 1:I can't say enough positive things about El Rento. This was the second year I stayed at this hotel, and both times I've been left amazed at the attentiveness and endless hospitality of the staff. This year, my partner and I left for the day very early, before breakfast was served, and knowing our plans for the day, the staff had prepared us a complete to-go breakfast! They stayed late with us, telling us stories of the history of the hotel, what their most recent catering has been, etc. And their generosity is unrivaled. The facilities are spotless, the value for the money is unbeatable, the food and drinks are delicious and cheap! Highly recommend.
Review 2:I have nothing bad to say.
Review 3:The gentleman who served us at breakfast was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you.
Review 4:la gentillesse du patron
Review 5:No breakfast included in the room price.
Review 6:Staff, room and price.
Review 7:Very convenient if you are planning on spending time outside of town hiking and such, since of course parking in Cuenca itself tends to be tough. Clean and well-maintained rooms and a nice cafe space.
Review 8:Nothing.
Review 9:The staff were excellent, especially when our car broke down and we had to use their telephone at No charge. The hotel was the cleanest place we have ever stayed (we have stayed 5 star). The ensuite was spotless and the bedroom was minimalistic, but adequate. The courtyard was ideal. The food and wine in the restaurant was very good and excellent value for money. Will stay there again.
Review 10:The restaurant was closed on Mondays but there is a good bar/restaurant just a 5 mins walk away serving a good menu. Although not necessarily the hotel fault but there was no visa card payment connection so need to take adequate funds to cover should this be the case.
Review 11:Small cozy hotel with just 5 bedrooms. Pleasant central courtyard area. Although out of the town it was in a lovely setting so good walks straight from the hotel entrance.
Review 12:No food on a Monday but there is a good cafe within walking distancethat does a evening menu for 9 euros with a fantastic choice includingwine. We wanted to pay by credit card but their machine would not workwith my three cards, had to borrow the cash from our friends otherwisewould have had to go to a bank in town.
Review 13:The rooms comfortable and clean, the breakfast good choice of food, walking in the area was lovely.
Review 14:On Monday morning noticed a sign on the front door stating that the hotel was closed Monday and Tuesday, no-one had informed us of this and thought it was a disgrace when they had accepted the booking and we had still two days left to spend at the Hotel. We were given a rushed breakfast on the Monday morning, when we arrived back on Monday evening around seven we asked for a drink and were grudgingly given one and had to go outside in the rain to drink it and found that there was no food available as the restaurant was closed for a family party. We had to go to Cuenca that evening for something to eat which of course meant that we had to drive. We decided then that we were not going to stay for the last day in a closed establishment so checked out on the Tuesday morning. Cannot believe that they closed the place when they had paying guests staying, have never been treated like this before as you were made to feel like you were in the way when you requested anything. They still insisted that we pay for the full five nights although we only stayed for four.Totally ruined our five night break
Review 15:Booked the hotel for five nights( Friday till Tuesday) lovely clean establishment, good food.good service.
Review 16:Friendly and relaxing place to stay. Good food and obviously well used by locals which added to the atmosphere. Easy access to Cuenca, if you have your own transport, good parking.
Review 17:Friendly staff especially Senora Ester who was brilliant. Location, room, food, everything was excellent. Value and the general experience of a Spanish Hotel like this was first class. Would return tomorrow.
Review 18:Nada...Except the stay was not long enough.
Review 19:Excellent family run accommodation..Food great. Lamb dish out of this world. Rooms immaculate...Hotel just been renovated and is cosy and snug....Sat/Nav is a must to find this place. Otherwise Google earth it and print of the map.
Review 20:It is very difficult to recommend Cuenca to other travellers because it is so special and very difficult to find. It is in the middle of nowhere. It is Cuenca but it likes more then one hundred miles away from that city.
Review 21:It was very clean.
Review 22:Nice people, nice breakfast. Large room for a very good price.
Review 23:Staff very friendly and helpful. This was our second visit
Review 24:Restaurant not open on a Monday for breakfast or dinner
Review 25:good food and price ( large portions ) ,staff very friendly but limited English.
Review 26:The room was one of the best we've ever stayed in. Attention to detail was paramount. Clean and friendly.
Review 27:A good base to visit the spectacular town of Cuenca if you like a smallestablishment with personal service. Easy to find using gps.
