Reviews for Tambor Del Llano
Review 1:We had a very pleasant stay at Tambor del Llano. Our hosts Carmen and Joaquin were very gracious and helpful guides to the beautiful surroundings. Dinner was spectacular - served in a private room complete with sofas and fireplace for spending a relaxing evening after the day's hike.
Review 2:Unfortunately the "hotel" is not really ready for guests yet. The road was under repair and we parked quite a bit away. The air/heat is not working and rooms are quite "dormitory style, no farm touches at all. I was really looking forward to my stay and was very disappointed! I think the area is beautiful and would try this again but only when it's completely ready...No credit cards at this time are accepted
Review 3:Paula was amazing and did a great job from start to end, cooking was amazing and her smile was very welcoming!
Review 4:amazing rural retreat close to Ronda with hiking trails, horse riding, mountain bike trails. I went on a hired ( hybrid) bike and found the place fine. The establishment is brand new, sensitively designed. Its fantastically modern yet really sensitive to its landscape. Its more than just a place to stay , the place has a conservation ethos-part of the reason Tambor del llano exists is to preserve the natural diversity of this beautiful part of the world and especially the cork-oak which is becoming a threatened species. Couldnt ask for more. i will be back
Review 5:They are just starting, so there are a few minor things that will hopefully be improved soon, such as the gardening around the entrance. Also, no TV, bring a book!
Review 6:Tambor del Llano is a small rural hotel in the Natural Park of Grazalema. The place is just astonishing. My partner and I had been in Cadiz before, but never in Ronda and Grazalema, and we certainly did not expect to find such a rich and diverse nature in Andalusia. Upon a rival we had dinner at the main building, which maintains a good balance between tradition and modernity and its nicely integrated with the landscape and with the architectural style of the region. We had lamb, born and raised at Tambor del Llano and prepared by the owners, Joachin and Carmen. Wow! I will not forget that exquisite taste any time soon. And the Spanish wine completed a perfect evening. The rooms are ample and well-equipped (wifi and clean bathrooms), and the place is so quite! There is no one miles around...We woke up to a wonderful view and the sounds of the oak-tree forest. The weather was nice enough that we decided to have breakfast at the sunny terrace. Amazing. The red oak-trees, the green grass, the river, the bright sky, the grey sierras...What a view! And all for us! We chatted a bit with the owners, a very interesting couple who are starting a number of sustainable projects in the area. They gave us an insiders view on the economy and natural resources of the area, as well as the must-sees. Then, they took us to see the sheep and the horses!! We decided to give horse riding a try and ended up doing a 3 hour excursion following the river. If you go to Grazalema, I highly recommend this, the guide was superhelpful in adapting to our level and helped me overcome my initial fears...by the end of the ride we were galloping! We were on our way to Seville, so we had to leave after that knowing that we were missing much, but not before having lunch in the white town of Grazalema. We will be back very soon!!
