Review 1：The restaurant is outside the hotel. We were served fried chicken that was inedible, over cooked on the outside and completely raw near the bone! This is very dangerous, we returned the food and the waiter apologised profusely offering to return the food to the kitchen. When it reappeared it was impossible to even cut the chicken. Needless to say we returned to our room, hungry and disappointed.

Review 2：typical Spanish hotel, neither very comfortable or uncomfortable. Wspecified a No Smoking room and when we opened the door walked into a thick fug ! Soon changed rooms. Breakfast was quite poor. Not much that was appetising and no hot food. How difficult can it be to make eggs for people.

Review 3：friendly lady on reception with some English. Snack bar serving things like chicken and chips. (We arrived very late) It was a quick stopover but the next morning we made an effort to go into Placensia centre and was so glad we did. It is very nice. Wonderful local market and good coffee sitting in the sun.

Review 4：It looked run down, the gardens and surrounding area are all overgrown scrub land. The brasserie bar was dirty, with paper and rubbish all over the floor. The dinner was quite good, but nothing special.

Review 22：secure underground parking. Walk / cycle the 4k to town on bike path along river. Good quality hotel. Quiet while we were there. Large rooms.

Review 23：There was nothing we didn't like. It is a most convenient stopover location for us, and we have stayed overnight before. However, you should be aware it is not within walking distance of the historic town. We drove to the town and parked - 5 minutes.

Review 24：Secure & free underground parking. Free Wi-Fi. Excellent mid-way stopover on our regular drive to or from southern to northern Spain and Bilbao ferry terminal. We have stayed here before, and find the staff and rooms most excellent.

Review 25：A big wedding reception was taking place in the adjoining restaurant on September 28. As a result, the only parking space available was in the overspill car park some distance away, where I just managed to get the last space. This was very inconvenient on a rainy evening, and would have been even worse if we had just been arriving, with luggage, etc. I've suggested to the hotel they should have some parking space reserved for hotel guests.

Review 26：In particular, the quality of the food, and the team of excellent and friendly waiters, all of whom were the same as when we stayed at the hotel 12 months ago.

Review 27：We stopped at Ciudad del Jerte for just one night on a trip to the South of Spain. It was off season so only four clients and hotel was quiet. Reception staff helpful. Hotel is well out of town so you need a car. Parking free as a consequence. Great for a base to explore area by car or for a stopover.

Review 28：A swimming pool is advertised on the web site but finding the pool istime consuming and frustrating no signage and can only be found after along walk of discovery,turns out to be a public pool..disappointing!

Review 31：Curiously named. CUIDAD means "TOWN" IN Spanish so name should be more precise. Not easy to find especially in light of above. Dinner not before 2100 which is late even for Spain. Especially so if you have been driving all day and would welcome something to eat and an early night. No room service. No kitchen at all until 2100 so NOTHING available to eat.

Review 32：Didn't like the fact the towel rail was cold and wouldn't heat up, when I asked the receptionist about it, she told me it would not get warm, the heat was off.

Review 35：Efficient,quiet and comfortable. Even though there were 3 wedding parties in the function suite the separate restaurant was quiet and servicing other guests. There was no noise at night. The room was large and well appointed with a superb well lit bathroom. The reception staff speak english and are welcoming and efficient. Large carpark,good location in the beautiful Jerte valley and it appears they are tolerant of nature with a red-rumped swallow (a Spanish speciality) nesting under a balcony. Exceptional value.

Review 36：Whilst your literature mentions air-conditioning, it soon became clear that this wasn't working in the bedroom, which became almost unbearably hot and stuffy during the night. We mentioned this at reception, and they said it had been turned off as it was now their "winter", but agreed to try and rectify. It was reinstated for one night, but then turned off again. Another very minor point: your website information says that free newspapers are provided. They weren't, apart from the copy of the local paper on the reception desk.

Review 38：We chose the hotel for its Location as close to the Centre of some fantastic birdwatching in the Monfrague National Park. It did not disappoint. Easy access,clean, airconditioned, an excellent restaurant,Michellin recommended! Fabulous view from the bedroom and Golden Oriels in the Garden.Could have stayed for longer and probaby will when we return.
