Guesthouse Berggasthof Wallackhaus sells fast on our site. Located at 2,1,000 feet above sea level in the Hohe Tauern National Park, Berggasthof Wallackhaus is right next to the ski slope on the Großglockner, Austria’s highest mountain.
The traditionally furnished rooms offer flat-screen satellite TV and a hairdryer.
The Wallackhaus features a winter garden and restaurant with mountain views. In winter, a spa area with a sauna, a steam bath, and an infrared cabin can be used by guests. There is also a relaxation room with panoramic mountain views, and the new Sky Bar.
A dry room with a boot dryer and a small workshop are available free of charge for motorcyclists.
In winter, the access road is closed, and the Wallackhaus can only be reached by cable car from Heiligenblut. Arrival and departure by cable car are free of charge for guests.

Review 1：For the three adults traveling together the room was set up for a family with children's beds; so one of us had to sleep in a small hard bed. The adult queen bed was very comfortable.

Review 2：The food was fabulous! The staff was very kind; making room for our three motorcycles in a garage. We arrived very late in the day yet they held the restaurant open so we could have a hot meal. Breakfast was a nicely laid out buffet style with many varied offerings. The room was warm, very clean and had a great shower. I would stay here again!

We where the onlyguest in the hotel and they didn't had nothing for dinner. We gota microwave pizza and the stuff was really unfriendly. Review 20：Right at the top of the Grossglockner road is this wonderful hotel. The views are spectacular and you really find solice in the quiet environment with just your fellow guests. Dinner in the evening was very reasonable priced and very tasty but don't miss it as there is nothing else around. As you can imagine, plenty of free parking! I would recommend anyone stop here the night if they are passing through. Friendly staff.

Review 78：Beatifully located in the middle of nowhere, in the heart of austrian Alps - you only have to drive Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, an that can be a challenge during bad weather. Clean, spacious room, excellent service at the restaurant serving really nice food and drinks (including Zirbenschnapps ;-). Just only notice, that staying overnight at a height of 2300m can be somehow inconvenient for heart-impaired persons.
