Reviews for Le Royal Hôtel
Review 1:A bit overpriced but all hotels in the region had similiar prices. The area is quite over-rated. Watch out windy conditions in weather forecasts. Spoilt the beach experience.
Review 2:Nice room with small refrigerator Plenty of parking short drive to attractions Clean room
Review 3:Not a bad experience at all, but the entrance and exit to the swimming pool needed proper paving rather than a few stones buried in the grass. Inevitably the ground around became muddy and soggy. It needs a sensible solution.
Review 4:Conveniently placed and easy to find. Good value. It provided us with everything we needed
Review 5:The cheapest room (really good value for that price) was extremely small, but good enough for one night stay. The surroundings more than just compensated for that.
Review 6:Location, view, village are superb! Having a cup of coffee and a croissant on the small square with such a splendid view and a friendly chat with the neighbours - that is what vacation is all about!
Review 7:Although there was cooking facilities provided they were not connected up.
Review 8:The swimming pool was very clean and warm. The balcony in the room was excellent.
Review 9:The location is excellent for us as we didn't stay in the hotel, most of the time we were driving to places, however is convenient to access the near by village surrounded by an impressive fortinfication ! Also not too far from Spiguette beach. But if you need a nice hotel to spend some time look else where. Bedroom is spacious and quiet, east road access like an American motel but with clean rooms
Review 10:Check in at 5pm.check out at 11am Staff not at reception between 12 pm and 4 pm. If you want to visit the ramparts in the town they open between 10 and 6, so luggage has to stay in car or you carry it with you.suggest these people should not be in the hospitality industry.
Review 11:Nothing.
Review 12:Lots of mosquitos!
Review 13:Bit faded but as already stated, clean.
Review 14:Excellent location, clean and basic. Nice pool!
Review 15:Path to pool.
Review 16:Pool,fridge.
Review 17:The pool was lovely and the walk into Aigues Mortes along the canal.
Review 18:The pool was the reason for us choosing this hotel. And that was good. Otherwise: an ordinary place as any other, perhaps a little too pricy.
Review 19:Did not realize that there was nobody at reception in first paqrt of afternoon so had to wait
Review 20:Easy access
Review 21:Wi-fi didn't work, pool was not clean and the water was cold
Review 22:The city nearby, free parking
Review 23:No Internet Long walk to the town especially after dark
Review 24:Convenient parking Ground floor location Helpful staff Bath tub Easy access
Review 25:The welcome , the helpfulness
Review 26:Breakfast not good value
Review 27:Location
Review 28:The wash hand basin had a large crack in it.
Review 29:The position of the hotel and the friendly staff.
Review 30:No ventilation in bathroom, the exhaust fan blew straight into bedroom. Dismal breakfast for €8.50
Review 31:Very helpful staff. Very good meal at good price. Friendly waiter.
Review 32:More Motel with pool than hotel
Review 33:This was a cheap and cheerful option on a cycling tour in France. A bit outside the city walls which was a pity. Aigues Mortes is lovely.
Review 34:Nothing!
Review 35:Great route along pretty cannal to Greu de Roi (excellent for cycling). We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Nice balcony, especially for meals (there is good supermarket on the opposite of the hotel). Comfortable room with airconditioning and the fridge. Very quiet atmosphere, no noise, free parking. Swimming pool really nice. I would really recommend this place!
Review 36:Slightly wary being around the back of the hotel with regards to security.
Review 37:Excellent staff Free parking Walking distance to village along pretty canal Clean Small balcony
Review 38:Very good Motel-like hotel with friendly staff and pool directly in front of private terrace (if you take ground floor rooms) for which we paid only 49 € per night - a really good price! But especially in high season far more expensive.
Review 39:The hotel was a little seedy, but clean enough. The photographs on your site made it look much grander than it actually was. There was no restaurant on site, but as I mentioned the walk into Aigues Mortes was easy and enjoyable.
Review 40:The swimming pool was lovely. The walk into Aigues Mortes along the canal was enjoyable and there are many restaurants to choose from.
Review 41:Nothing
Review 42:We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room had balcony overlooking the pool and was airconditioned with a fridge and was very comfortable. There is a large supermarket 100 metres away and the old tow was a 10 minute walk away. We used the hotel as a base to tour some great places nearby. Would most definately recommend to other travellers.
Review 43:This is a comfortable motel within 15 minutes walk of Aigues-Mortes along the canal. It is calm, clean, has a swimming pool in a courtyard garden, and is good value for money. It is ideal for a short visit to the medieval walled Aigues-Mortes, which is now simply a tourist town. The train trip around the salt pans is worth doing, and the beach at Grau-du-Roi is not far away. This motel could be a good base for a couple of days.
Review 44:Hard bed and quite hot at night.
Review 45:Nice room with balcony overlooking pool. Staff very helpful with excellent English. 10 minutes walk to the main entrance to Aigues Mortes.
Review 46:Good value nice location
Review 47:A very convenient location within walking distance of the town.
Review 48:clean comfortable cheap
Review 49:Nice pleasant room with balcony overlooking pool. Effective but slightly loud aircon.
Review 50:Good location if you don't mind a nice canal side walk to the town ( ~ 1Km) Opted for breakfast in town. Nice garden for our ground floor room.
Review 51:Didn,t change the bedding,or replenish shampoo, soap sachets etc.
Review 52:Free parking outside of the room.
