Review 1：the breakfast is less than we have espected, it was if for 3 stars hotel or less ,but the food in the restaurant was very good,but we didn´t understand that the restaurant is off on monday!!

Review 3：The decor, especially gong up the stairway, looked unkempt and needed a lick of paint, at least. The lighting on the stairs didn't work, neither did the emergency lighting.

Review 4：The young lady booking us in was charming and translated the menu for us without being asked to. We had the meal of the day and it was excellent! Our dog was welcomed also!

Review 5：Asthenosphere hotel has an excellent restaurant with a wide and varied menu. I had a problem with a future reservation in another city and the front desk staff telephoned them and helped me straighten it out.

Review 6：Unhelpful at check-in desk. Small and tired room particularly bathroom. Certainly not 4 star hotel. Walk to bottom of old town 10-15 minutes but add another uphill 15 to get to places of interest. Very poor value for money. Sold multiple entry pass by front desk but not told some places closed or shut at 2pm. After fight got money back.h

Review 8：We loved the friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were spotless, the bed very comfy. We were so impressed with our maid as she found a kindle tablet under a pillow just as we were checking out. Much as gracias!

Review 9：Was going to rate this poorly because of a bad experience with one receptionist who told us the hotel had no double beds when our request for one wasn't met (this was not the case) and failed to arrange for a cot to be delivered to our room as had been promised, even after a reminder. The rest of the staff were helpful and pleasant however - always a shame when a team is let down by one member of staff.

Review 14：The hotel is a little "tired" in its décor. The bathroom fitments need replacing - the plug in the washbasin did not fit properly.

Review 15：The hotel is clean and comfortable overall and the staff friendly and helpful. It is situated about 15-20 minutes walk from the historical area of Cuenca and close to bars and restaurants. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and we had a very nice meal in the hotel.

Review 17：Underground carpark, local specialities in the restaurant, good wifi,, air conditioning was very quiet, location overlooking park within walking distance of town centre and not too far from the old historic quarter.

Review 18：Nice place to sit outside for drinks. Good restaurant, young waiter very attentive and helpful, good food. Stayed on Sunday evening and everywhere in town closed for food.

Review 19：Only experienced one problem. Breakfast is via room service and it took two calls for it to arrive, much later than wanted. Not much English spoken so handy to have a smattering of Spanish. There was a problem in regards of orientation and because of language problems the hotel staff were not able to assist, but there is a Tourist Information Centre at the bottom of the park and English is spoken. They were very helpful with indicating the tapas areas, places of interest and rural tourists routes. Maps were given free and a guide purchased for one euro - great value.

Review 20：Situated on the edge of the new city with a small park opposite, so the hotel was reasonably quiet. All sightseeing was within walking distance provided you are mobile. Clean, although bathroom was a bit tired.

Review 21：Hall rugs badly stained and need replacement, but rooms are modern, very clean. Restaurant was a bit pricey.

Review 25：The hotel is easy to find and close to the motorway when entering/exiting Cuenca.The hotel is located adjacent to a pleasant park about 5/10 minutes walk from the town center bars, restaurant and the famous hanging houses. It has its own underground secure car park (payable extra but worth it) The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast was fairly good.

Review 29：The hotel is situated walking distance from the new-town centre of Cuenca. Easy to locate as we were travelling on our motorbikes. Secure garage parking for a reasonable fee. 2 spaces for 7 bikes. Reception staff friendly, good English and helpful regarding restaurant options as we fancied a meal in town rather than the hotel. Rooms were clean and all had standard facilities of good quality. The hotel has a nice bar and terrace and a reasonable buffet breakfast.

Review 32：Clean comfortable room. Wifi was surprisingly quick, unlike in our more modern hotel in the heart of Valencia. Would recommend a visit to Cuenca, only takes an hour on the AVE train from Valencia, great service, worth an overnight stopover. Hotel is a bus or taxi ride from the station.

It was advertised as English, American & European Breakfast with Bacon & eggs etc. It only served European supermarket poor quality food spam, ham, plastic cheese etc. The breakfast was worth only 4 euros. Would recommend nearby cafés instead. Rate at 3* not 4* as advertised.
