Reviews for Hotel Doña Carmen

Review 1:Beautiful bathroom but very slippery surfaces, well, for a couple of golden oldies. What a noisy hotel during the night! Rolling out the barrels was one noise we identified! Air in the pipes meant there was knocking all night. It was like sleeping in a factory workshop. It would not stop me from going again though, maybe we will ask for a quieter room, we were 206.

Review 2:The location was perfect to break up our journey from Southern Spain up to Santander, just off the motorway and very easy to find with good parking facilities. Excellent wifi. The most comfortable and beautiful bedding. Good value for money. Found a lovely ceramic workshop where Luis told us a little of the history of Tordesillas, in particular, 'Juana La Loca'

Review 3:Situated overlooking the river Duero, easy to find, on site parking, friendly and efficient staff, buzzy atmosphere, excellent food and wines, nice bedroom with excellent bathroom, both very clean, amazing value for money.

Review 4:Staff were quite abrupt, and the food was not up to much. Cheap bread for toasted sandwich, and the dinner of breaded veal was not very nice at all.

Review 5:The location was brilliant, really lovely to be near the Douro river but to also see the beautiful buildings.

Review 6:Would have liked at least 1 English TV channel, as wi-fi signal in room not strong enough to stream channels on tablet.

Review 7:Good location, close to motorway, ideal for an overnight stay. Room was fine, with excellent shower, but if you like a soft pillow - take your own!

Review 8:The location was excellent, in a river bank site facing the bridge across to the old town. The hotel's attractive terrace is a particular asset. The menu del dia (14.5 euros) was very good value. The bedroom, with a river view, was simple but comfortable and the bathroom excellent.

Review 9:The bedroom was dark and dingy and a strong smell of smoke, open the windows and it made no different, the beds were hard and there was a generator going on and off all night we did not get any sleep, so if you book in and they give you room 204 LEAVE

Review 15:Very up to date hotel Very comfy bed Beautiful new and clean bathroom

Review 16:Hard bed, walls paper thin so can hear everything from neighboring rooms and hallway. Small room.

Review 17:Has its own restaurant, free parking

Review 18:Lacks bidet.

Review 19:Clean, Localization and price.

Review 40:easy access to motorway nice location comfortable room good value for money

Review 41:Right on the river and with great views of the old bridge

Review 42:Adequate for an overnight stop when driving from the Algarve to Santander. Easy car parking outside the hotel which is beside the river. The town is a short walk over the bridge.

Review 43:The location. Close to the motorway and ideal as a "pitstop". The terrace has a view of the lovely river below, and the menú del día, available at night, too, is excellent value at 14 euros. The breakfast at three euros is pretty basic, but okay.

Review 44:Some people may not like the fact that no English is spoken, but that is why it is authentic !

Review 45:Authentic Spanish hotel, great location for an interesting small Spanish town. This is real Spain.

Review 46:bed was ok but no other comforts. veryy noisy at night from other people in the bar, our bathroom opened onnto the terrace. ait conditioning exceptionally noisy, room smelly.

Review 47:the location

Review 48:Needs a little tlc then I would have given them excellent marks

Review 49:Very good value good stop off when travelling to Portugal . Will callagain good location ,Close by wine area

Review 50:there was nothing to dislike.

Review 51:The situation by the river was very pleasant. Far enough of the road that traffic did not disturb. Rooms excellent. Bar and food good. Kind to aged [70 years old] cyclists.

Review 52:Too noisy. The smell in the room was very unpleasant, to tobacco and moist. I could not open the window because the blinds were broken. The service was awful.

Review 53:The price

Review 54:Whilst not a reflection upon the hotel, had I realised before I had booked that Tordesillas still continues with its 'tradition' of letting a bull run free for all to try and slaughter I would have not stayed in this town. I prefer not to support those that continue with such barbaric acts in the name of entertainment. For this reason only, I would not recommend the town.

Review 55:Hotel is excellent and just across the river from the town just a 5 minute walk.

Review 56:Breakfast consisted of a choice of a jam doughnut, or a croissant, noteven both. The Coffee was good, but hey I didn't expect too much for£27 for the night...

Review 57:Friendly staff, would not let me pay until next morning after breakfast.Nice to be trusted, its just the old days in the uk, where it used to bethe same. Sadly no longer, if you don't stump up some plastic onarrival, then you are not welcome.

Review 58:Bathroom needed a bit of maintenance e.g. missing loo roll holder & bath plug. A couple of dead lightbulbs in bedroom, and we would have liked a choice of pillow or bolster.

Review 59:Very good service. Location is very quiet apart from the sound of the river which sends one to sleep.

Review 60:WI-Fiis described as available everywhere, it isn't, restaurant wasclosed and the bar meal started at 2030.

Review 61:Location, the rooms were clean and tidy. With little or no English thestaff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 62:The food

Review 63:Location close to the ancient bridge leading into the old town. Good views from the room. Friendly atmosphere. Staff friendly annd efficient.

Review 65:Rooms a bit basic

Review 66:Good place to stay for an overnight stop and easy to find with good food .

Review 67:Floor in room not as clean as it should have been.
