Review 1:Pleasant surroundings beside the canal the town was quiet as this weekend coming there is festival found a lovely burger restaurant Aqueste-Ko very enjoyable
Review 2:Excellent location. Short walk to restaurant, bars and shops. Staff very helpful, spoke perfect English and on hand to assist with any queries, and make restaurant reservations etc
Review 3:Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful location. Free parking. Fantastic breakfast. Spacious hotel - lots of public space including pool and sun terrace. Hotel manages to feel slightly alternative at the same time as being both friendly and high-end.
Review 4:Very convenient position with easy pleasant walk into the citadel of Aigues Mortes along a lane next to a canal and well lit at night. Plenty of parking. Reception open until 11pm but key access afterwards. Very nice breakfast which is very reasonably priced for France.
Review 5:At a street side room, had to keep window shut due to traffic noise. Perfect isolation when shut. The room was very small with no closet or real room for clothes.
Review 6:A very nice location with a cute little swimming pool. Right on the canal, just a short walk to the old walled town. Stuff very friendly and helpful. The room and hotel very clean and in good repair.
Review 7:Wonderful location to visit aigues mortes. From the ouside looks like a pretty standard motel aliong the streetm BUT .. inside you will find a warm and friendly reception, and a stilish interior. Add the opportunity to walk directly to the canal until the wals in 5 minutes, a delicious breakfast .. best.
Review 8:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was lovely. We enquired about hiring bikes and a staff member lent us two of his.
Review 9:Prefect accommodation in Aigues-Mortes. Walking distance to the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Camille! The hotel wasn't too busy and we got a free upgrade to a bigger room, since we were travelling with our 1 year old son. We also had breakfast there for extra 12 euros. Not cheap, but there was plenty of food. Highly recommended.
Review 10:Lovely canal side location, close to public transport and the walled city. Excellent breakfast, really lovely helpful staff, clean, modern yet still welcoming hotel. Will be returning.
Review 11:Rather deceiving from the outside and somewhat difficult to get in and out of with the car.
Review 12:Walking distance from everything this Hotel has a warm friendly ambiance from the moment you step inside. The rooms overlooking the canal are quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent.Staff are delightful. Great restaurants close by. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Review 13:I think it was a bit more than 5 mins walk in Aigue Mortes, but that could be because I'm not as fast a walker as I used to be!!
Review 14:The staff on reception were exceptional, I think they can make or break a stay. There were very welcoming and extremely helpful, sitting us down and spending at least 10-15 mins telling us about the area and the facilities if the hotel. Nothing was to much for them. Breakfast was good the swimming pool fine and generally nothing I feel I want to fault, a really good stay. Would be more than happy to recommend it to anyone.
Review 15:Wewere made very welcome and the hotel facilities were well arranged and the entire place was very clean We were given a room on the Canal Side which was very quiet as I believe the Road side would have been a little disturbing We were well looked after and made to feel very welcome The breakfast terrace was avery good and quiet location and a good start to the day
Review 16:No complaints at all! Far from it!
Review 17:The staff are extremely friendly and keen to help you enjoy the Carmargue. The breakfast is special and varies daily to keep you interested. Fantastic value for money
Review 18:Wifi was very poor in our room and I thought breakfast was very expensive at €12 a head.
Review 19:Good location. Staff we're very friendly and the place was very clean. Overall I thought this hotel was very nice offering some good facilities including a small pool. It was perfect for us.
Review 20:Location on canal, just outside the walls with easy walk to the town

Review 35:nothing
Review 36:location and pleasant atmosphere very friendly and helpful staff
Review 37:parking place is limited and a bit narrow, so it was cumbersome to park there a big family car. Otherwise, everything great there!
Review 38:Aigues-Mortes itself is a bit frozen in time and the weather was still chilly in early May
Review 39:Nice people
Review 40:Little more choice for breakfast
Review 41:Very clean modern property with nice staff and nice location on the canal
Review 42:The nice taste of the ambient

Review 47:short distance to Aigues-Mortes helpful staff nice rooms
Review 48:Very helpful at reception with suggestions of what to visit and which restaurants to try.
Review 49:A bit of traffic noise as it's on a main road.
Review 50:Fabulous location within walking distance of this great little town. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Comfy, clean rooms and lovely fresh breakfasts.
Review 51:There was nothing we didn't like!
Review 52:Absolutely everything! Jacques and the team were so friendly and helpful. We were even upgraded as arrived on a quiet night. The hotel was in a beautiful spot with a stunning pool overlooking the canal - so quiet but just a short walk into Aigues-Mortes. Breakfast is DEFINITELY worth having at the hotel - the most delicious breakfast I have ever had!! I will definitely be here to stay again.
Review 53:The duck on the canal who woke me in the morning.....! (joking, of course!) We'll go back. Plenty of restaurants nearby, although they don't have one.
Review 54:Welcome charming without being "pushy", and all the staff so helpful. Breakfast of top quality local products, albeit only contin-ental.
Review 55:Nothing. If I wanted to nit-pick I'd say the breakfast is a bit pricey - but as noted it is good and fresh. And if it is the bonus for the hotel to keep it profitable, so much the better. It would be a great pity if the quality were allowed to drop to save a couple of Euros a night!
Review 56:Staff friendly, flexible and informative, all seemed to really enjoy their job. Clean, tidy, well maintained hotel. Breakfast fresh, food and coffee good - early morning smell of baking and coffee. Location perfect - easy very short walk to old town, station and bus stop. Recommendations on restaurants and other offerings - e.g. bike hire - reliable.
Review 57:We were made very welcome by lovely hosts. Charming hotel with very nice decor, terrace and pool. lovely and very short walk to town along the canal plenty to do locally and in surrounding area. We would come again.
Review 58:Housekeeping staff overlooked cleaning our room one day.
Review 59:The friendliness and willingness to share knowledge of the city and the Camargue impressed us. Thank you Beatrice! The location of the property on the Canal du Rhone with the variety of boats & barges is lovely. Generous breakfast with good variety.
Review 60:Hard to think of anything, we really enjoyed our time there.
Review 61:Fabulous welcome and when we asked if we could have a room on the ground floor this was sorted for us with a few changes. Great family atmosphere. Comfy beds and lots of choice at breakfast.
Review 62:Nothing once we got inside. The position from the road is misleading!
Review 63:Excellent position to walk along the canal side into the old town. Staff who went out of their way to make our visit great.
Review 64:No fault found.
Review 65:Very clean. Comfortable beds, quiet room with excellent bathroom. Quiet airconditioning. Plenty of parking space and an easy walk into the historic city of Aigues Mortes. Reception is very helpful with good advice on where to eat and what to see. We felt very welcome. Breakfast was quite beautifully arranged, delicous and very generous. Well worth €12 each.
Review 66:Very friendly and helpful staff; excellent breakfast; very clean rooms; good value for money; it was a pleasant stay! On the whole we'd like to come again.
Review 67:Didnt Look Good From Road But Inside It Was Brilliant.
Review 68:Staff Couldnt Be More Helpfull Warm Friendly Atmosphere Lovely Pool But Small Breakfast In The Courtyard Excellent And The Food Was Great.
Review 69:We appreciated the smiles and helpful suggestions for local dining and fort tour opportunities. The breakfast pastries were gourmet. This is an exceptional place--clean and welcoming.
Review 70:Nothing.
Review 71:Wonderful small hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff; delicious breakfast; close by (walking distance) Aigues-mortes, a nice town to visit and to have dinner; and close by (by car, but not far) a unique, very natural beach (plage de l'espiguette). The canal is wonderful to make your own trip in a hired boat (no license necessary), and in contrast to staying in the Camargue, in Aigues-Mortes, there are almost no mosquitos.
Review 72:Staff were extremely helpful. We just had one evening and they gave us very useful advice on what to do and where to eat. Convenient location, just a few minutes walk from from town. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Review 73:great location close to historic center and 5 km by bike to seaside, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast with fresh homemade pastry, garage for bikes, wifi
Review 74:nothing ..would come and stay longer
Review 75:Staff really take care of their guests and the hotel ... we liked the terrace with loungers & small pool, the reading room, wonderful breakfast. Some nice touches - fridge water available at night (from beautiful red smeg fridge), you could use terrace to eat your own lunchtime picnic, they will recommend and book restaurant (needed for best places when busy), vintage 1950s magazine in reception (hotel built in 50s but boutique desin inside now - don't be put of by exterior from main road). Double glazing blocks all main road sounds and back rooms over look the canal...it's a nice 10min stroll into walled city along the canal walkway.
Review 76:The rooms were tiny, the walls not soundproof.
Review 77:The staff was extremly helpful and very friendly!!! The location is great as well, as it is only few minutes away from the city center. The hotel itself has a nice swimming pool and a tarasse.
Review 78:Easy walking distance into the walled town of Aigues-Mortes, alongside one of the canals. Friendly staff, helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Modern furnishings
Review 79:Very helpful concierge. Also spoke English. Breakfast very nicely set out and plenty to choose from. A 10 minute walk from the town of Aigues Mortes and restaurants, but quiet situation beside the canal.
Review 80:Local banks do not change dollars to euros, but there are ATMS available. A bit of a walk to town square, but we got used to it.
Review 81:Small charming modern hotel. Staff was really friendly and spoke English. They helped us find shops and recommended restaurants and arranged special taxi service to Montpellier airport which was half an hour away at 4:30 am (which came 10 minutes early). Breakfast pastries were varied and outstanding. We needed lumber for use at an event held by fortress walls where we were participants and Patrice went with my husband to the lumberyard near the hotel to translate and then drove him to the event site at the other end of the fortress. Beatrice made dinner reservations for us at a nearby fabulous gourmet restaurant and made sure that that a specific duck meal was available for us. There is a small supermarket near the hotel where we got items for a picnic on the hotel patio, along with wine! I asked specific questions by email beforehand regarding amenities and staff responded quickly. Hotel owner loaned us a scale to be sure our baggage wasn't overweight. Staff really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. They moved us to a downstairs room the second week so we would have an easier pre-dawn departure.
Review 82:Can't think of anything!
Review 83:We booked this hotel very much at the last minute but were extremely pleased with our choice. It is a fairly small family-run hotel, and we were made very welcome. The lady who greeted us gave us plenty of advice about what to see, where to eat (all good). The room was simply furnished but comfortable and clean with a lovely view onto the canal. Breakfast was the usual buffet-style, with fresh bread and pastries and good coffee. The restaurant menu looked good, too, although we ate inside the walled city as we were sight-seeing. It was only a short walk along the canal tow-path to the ancient city walls. All-in-all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Review 84:Breakfast was very good, no question but at 12 euros only just, just, worth it. Initial impression from outside is underwhelming, but do look beyond that, as it is a good hotel.
Review 85:Great location on canal and literally 5 minutes to old cite. The small pool looked great with balcony space around it, but open air and solar-heated.
Review 86:Very friendly reception on arrival - informative re location andfacilities at Aigues Mortes, and helpfully spoken in English by fluentstaff. Hotel modern and rooms, though small were very well appointed andclean. Easy walking distance of delightful walled city alongside canal.
Review 87:- Rather small swimming pool- not enough pool chairs
Review 88:- Very nice breakfast (every day new pastries)- we booked a urban room, and it was a large room - good airco in the room - very helpful staff, they give you a lot of information about the region, restaurants, things to visit, etc... - 5 minutes walk to the old city town - every day a bottle cooled water for free (night water)
Review 89:Could not fault anything. Perfect.
Review 90:Imediate warm and friendly welcome and throughout the stay. Good sizeroom with air-con and our own terrace area. Boutique styling.Delightful fresh and varied breakfast, with excellent coffee. Greatadvise on local restaurants which were of extremely high and modernquality. Good location for sight-seeing. Cute little swimming pool onthe second story roof/terrace area. It was quiet and lovely forcouples. Very few children. Although there was no bar or restaurant, these were not required or missed and the staff have an obvious pridein their hotel and work in a perfectly balanced proffessional andwelcoming manner. We would deffinitly recommend the Hotel Canal andwould go again. It's a gem.
Review 91:Location - perfect for walking. Welcome by staff. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast - sat outside, good foods and wonderful coffee. Lovely room!
Review 92:Modern building with well-appointed rooms. Excellent, friendly andhelpful staff. High quality breakfast. From roadside the building doesnot look much, but at rear there is a sunny first floor terrace withswimming pool and pleasant outlook over the canal. Good location in thatit has parking whereas hotels within the town would be difficult forparking. Pleasant 5-6 minute walk along canalside into the town - with anice restaurant only100 metres along this walk if do not want to walkinto town.
Review 93:There is no lift so carrying our suitcases up the two flights of stairswas not very good at all on the back!
Review 94:Thought the hotel very clean and the lady that checked us in wasvery helpful.
Review 95:Very pleasant stay. Room small but spotless. In fact whole hotelspotless . Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Veryconveniently located. On a busy road but we didn't hear a thing.
