Reviews for Nuba Nile Hotel Aswan

Review 1:bed was hard and we booked for a double bed but got two single beds and they told us to push them together. exposed wiring in the room. Hand held shower no rail to affix it too. smokey in the reception area, needs MAJOR repairs and maintenance. The service of the reception staff was unprofessional and rude.

Review 2:the location.

Review 3:The hotel is pretty basic - but clean and safe - and what more do you expect at this price? but the staff are brilliant and could not be more helpful which made all the difference when much of the tourist scene in Aswan seemed to have closed down.

Review 4:1. Room too small and outdated. 2. Bathroom very small. 3. No hot water in 2 days we were there. 4. Prices for tours were inflated. 5. No orientation of sourroundings. 6. Very few of staff new English. 7. Breakfast too simple and limited to eggs, cream cheese and bread. 8.Management didn't greet us nor made us feel welcome, despite he was there often.

Review 5:Some of the staff Ahmed and Sol are friendly and welcoming. The rest need some training.

Review 6:The receptionist was absent ,

Review 7:The location nearby the railway station

Review 8:Bed is not that clean. Noisy. No hot water in my room !!!

Review 9:Staff was nice and helpful. And location is really good : 3 mins from train station

Review 10:bad breakfast, pool not working

Review 11:Staff very friendly and helpful

Review 12:Near to public transportaion, bus, taxi, train also Market & Riverside

Review 13:No internet in the room, noise of the lift, plus the room it was not comfortabe.

Review 14:Aswan City is beautiful

Review 15:Location was near to the train station Room was very clean Staff was helpful but spoke little english

Review 16:no room service

Review 17:- For that money you cant expect much; but the room and bathroom can be kept bit more cleaner.- no water pressure in the shower at all.

Review 18:-Value for money -close to station and market- they arranged for trips and they are very prompt and in time. - advised on things to do and always helpful.

Review 19:nothing cos i accept buildings are not modern so dont worry about paintwork etc....clean is what matters.

Review 20:Central near station. Felt safe on 2 min walk ex station at 12.30am,train 3hrs late. Only used to sleep 6hrs for plane to a.simbel. Sheets/bathroom old but clean, it is what it is..cheap hotel which is value. Brekky excellent. Staff helpful. Kept word to wakeup call for plane as arrived so late. For cheap hotel in chaotic country it is acceptable.

Review 21:Very old and run down building. Don't expect any luxury, it's just a crashpad for a night's. Breakfast is poor, no fresh items. It's a good option if you are looking to catchup on some sleep on your way to Abu Simbel but don't go for this hotel if you plan to spend more than one night in Aswan.

Review 22:Very close to station and helpful staff. Quite cheap.

Review 23:Reception staff are good people but need to be Customer Service oriented. Breakfast need to be arranged better than that especially with groups as reception can tell group leader to organize themself for the comfort of other guests. Little things matter, so it would be better to make sure that all rooms are ok and a questionaire at the check out will tell what to improve.

Review 24:Location is good for business and transport friendly. My room even if I didn`t have a TV in it but it was ok as I was not there to watch it :)

Review 25:W-fi is available only with extra payment!!

Review 26:Very useful staff. Hotel is near railway station - it's only 200meters, on the corner. To coast of Nile is about 500 metres.

Review 27:the rude ill mannered and stubborn staff...and we are not usually ones to go head to head with someone.

Review 28:the front desk staff was extremely incompetent and rude. We ended up leaving the hotel and staying elsewhere. We live in Cairo, so don't have high expectations generally, but this was so down below low expectations that even we couldn't handle it. Stay away...

Review 29:Staff was very slow and grumpy. Our room had a stench.

Review 30:- nothing specially, it was just a hotel. There were clean sheets, towels and toilet paper. The buffet breakfast was ok (only 2 bags of Nescafe for the whole hotel). The Islamic music in the elevator was a funny touch.
