Reviews for Le Mas Des Sables
Review 1:Could have had more choice for breakfast.
Review 2:Lovely room set within beautiful gardens. Pool was quiet and peaceful. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
Review 3:Shower was useless, toilet seat collapsed and an infestation of wasps greeted me on arrival in the room, two of which stung me. The wifi was an utter joke (annoying as my visit was part business, part holiday) and the breakfast poor value for Euro11 - croissant that were days, not hours, old
Review 4:Excellent room and bed. A/C a great help.
Review 5:Accommodation set in lovely park/ woody area and walks along canal. If taking pets it is possible to be set a bit away from the centre and therefore feel at ease. Restaurant excellent. Good food and good value for money.
Review 6:The only very slight problem was that I thought they could do with some more ventilation in the toilet & bathroom.
Review 7:When we realised that the hotel was situated close to a main road we were a bit perturbed..but no need...the rooms were all set in a roomy pleasant 'park' with lots of trees & the noise from the road was barely discernable. We liked the fact that we had a private terrace with table & chairs which was great for enjoying a beer in the sun. The room was spacious & comfortable.;with a small fridge to keep stuff cool..had heating or air conditioning too..+TV . We didn't know that there was a restaurant so that was a nice surprise too..in fact we ate there every night & found it good ..it's a Logis..& not at all expensive. Swimming pool was lovely..staff very friendly. Beautiful walk from the hotel along the canal .
Review 8:Room smelled strongly of ciggs despite being non-smoking but I guess that is more of a fault of the previous guests. Tub with shower sprayer made just showering difficult and we used most of our towels absorbing water from the floor. Wifi weak to non-existent in room but worked fine at main property.
Review 9:Beautiful large rooms and updated property. Friendly staff and cats :). Very close to Aigues Mortes. Very affordable.
Review 10:Breakfast is not value for money. Swimming poll is lovely but not big enough in August for the number of families. An outdoor patio for rooms could be developed. Hotel is not well indicated from the town.
Review 11:Room decor very pleasant. Friendly and obliging staff
Review 12:Whole property had a run down look. Evening meal was spoiled by cold soup.
Review 13:Fabulous location and pool. Staff go above and beyond to help. Breakfast was delicious
Review 14:Had trouble finding entrance even with GPS
Review 15:Staff,food,room & parking
Review 16:The most relaxing hotel I've stayed in for a long time, and with the friendliest staff. One night wasn't nearly long enough !
Review 17:I think the Villa area could be cleaner. There were a lot of spiders and cobwebs in the room and this facts shows that it needed more cleaning and that the hotel was a little bit neglected. English should be required to all the staff!
Review 18:The distribution of buildings and rooms and the sorroundings.
Review 19:Hard to find, near the motorway. Older clientele.
Review 20:Tidy, friendly welcome. Separate toilet to bathroom. Dispenser of soap and shower gel rather than little bottles.
Review 21:Bed was a bit small would have liked a 5ft bed. Insects a big problem but knew that when booking. Think rooms should be sprayed daily.
Review 22:Staff very friendly and helpful pool area comefortable and water clean and warm. Dining area very pleasant. Dinner food good
Review 23:too far from the town center - as we didn't have a car, transport was almost impossible. We were told that there were only four taxi drivers operating in the whole town, so we couldn't find a taxi on the first day, and we had to walk for 4 km on a very hot day with the heavy suitcases to reach the hotel.
Review 24:helpful staff, quiet location, felt like living in a cottage in the forest surrounded by many trees, bushes, vineyards etc.
Review 25:The mosquitoes are voracious so it is necessary to be prepared with a good repellant. The hotel can lend anti-mosquito plug-ins, against a small deposit. We found the hotel to be much further out of Aigues-Mortes than anticipated - approximately 4Kms. It is possible to reach the town on foot along the canal tow-path, but once again you must fight your way through clouds of insects;;;but it is the Camargue after all. I suspect that in high season the site could be quite crowded & noisy, but that does not detract from the fact the the site has been very well-planned.
Review 26:We appreciated the calm, the overall planning of the rooms set in the park and the on-site parking. The staff were efficient & friendly, the restaurant was correct and the cold breakfast buffet was much better than in many more expensive hotels. During our stay a wooden deck was constructed outside our room (camargue type). The work did not disturb us and it was lovely to have the opportunity to sit outside (without being overlooked) in comfortable armchairs with a small table..... at the peril of being eaten alive by mosquitoes! If it is the correct season, take the opportunity to purchase local asparagus & strawberries from the producer on the exit road from the hotel - excellent.
Review 27:Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Accommodation peaceful and relaxing. Ample parking is a bonus. Large grounds for long nature walks, access to the Canal walk and the Tour Carbonnieres.
Review 28:Food could be better
Review 29:Location. Safe for children as sorrounded by fields and trees.
Review 30:It was dated, not very clean. The rood was just oké.
Review 31:Nice quiet location. Good food.
Review 32:mainly the staff they were so helpfull, great food, very nice restaurant, superb pool
