Review 1：No sunshine to our terrace morning or afternoon. Opposite the staff maintenance and staff rooms, very noisey in the mornings!

Review 25：It would be lovely to give a review of Apartamentos Hg Tenerife Sur but when we arrived to check in I was told we had been moved to the sister apartments (Hg Tenerife Cristian Sur) across the road. Having spend quite a time researching apartments and deliberately choosing the Tenerife Sur and deliberately avoided the Tenerife Cristian Sur this was disappointing to say the least. No explanation was given by either hotel for the move We had stayed one night at the Tenerife Sur eight days before and had found it not unpleasant. But here is a review of the Tenerife Cristian Sur anyway. The apartment was not secure as the locks on the balcony door and bedroom windows were both broken. This was reported but only the bedroom window lock was fixed by the time of our departure. The balcony could be reached from other balconies (and possibly from the street below) so we did not feel happy to leave any valuables in the apartment. No offer of a free safe box was made but we could have rented one (along with renting access to the internet and the TV)! Along with the poor maintenance of the locks, the general maintenance of the apartment was poor with half a dozen broken tiles and quite a few more loose tiles. Water dripped from the ceiling of the bathroom into the bath during the first night. The apartment bedroom overlooked the complex's cafe/bar so it suffered with noise from 8am to midnight as the windows offered poor soundproofing. The balcony overlooked a busy road and was just above the complex's supermarket entrance. So not a lot to recommend a place that I had not chosen to stay in.

Review 29：The apartment was all dusty, the cleaning stuff didn't do their job at all. The floor was dirty with hair and old dust, and dust wasn't wiped up off the furniture ever, even though they "cleaned" the apartment almost every day.

The apartment pool facilities were perfect with a lifeguard on duty all day and a great pool for the kids, always kept clean. The on site restaurant and bar was lovely - the staff were superb - couldn't have been friendlier. The apartments were basic but perfect for what we needed with a regular cleaning service and clean towels provided frequently. Really good value for money.

Review 32：Our apartment was on the main road side so was very noisy. Also we asked for an earlier breakfast (i.e 10 minutes early) but this seemed inconvenient. A lot of people would have liked this as had early transport but staff in restaurant very strict on an 8am start!

Information given about local shops still open at 10pm for supplies and next morning information given on local buses to transport us to the other side of Tenerife easily and conveniently . Review 57：The apartments don't have wifi in rooms, only at the entrance to hotel, and it costs 1 euro per 30 minutes- a disaster for those you should work and have access to internet on a daily basis. The room was too small, on the pictures it seemed bigger, and the balcony was half size of what we expected. It was our honey moon, and i send a special request to the aparts to give us a room that will have better view and nicer. But we got the worst. The pool was crowded every morning with children, you couldn find any free space for the plastic chaise-longue because they were all occupied since 7 in the morning.

If you are not up before 6am you will not have a umbrella near the pool or if you are not awake by 7am you will not have a sunbed as they are amazingly short on sunbeds and when you leave the pool area your towels could get thrown on the grass by the life guard and your beds taken which I find bizarre. No air conditioning. No lifts, lots of stairs

Review 79：The beds were comfy which is unusual for holiday accommodation, the apartment was cleaned all but 2 days of the 7 the kitchen facilities could have been better and bigger the grill in the oven didn't work and the gas hob, yes gas hob didn't work after one use, also had to buy a lighter to light it not the safest of places, I don't go on holiday to cook but we usually breakfast in the apartment there was no microwave either which I think on the description was stated as having one, we like to take a Chinese meal back but with no warm up facilities was limited, asked to keep room on as we had a late flight was told to enquire 24hrs before which I did to then be told no we are fully booked ( like every guest arrives at same time) wasn't happy with some of the reception staff, all male and some not helpful or particularly friendly. Review 88：Everywhere was a bit run down. Broken windows on the bar/ reception. Steps to apartments chipped, paintwork in need of attention. The apartments themselves were old fashioned and tatty, with a grubby kitchen area. The slated glass windows in the kitchen and bathroom didn't close properly, the one in the bathroom had a broken handle too. The beds were the most uncomfortable we'd ever slept in. But worst of all was the noise at night. We were at the front of the block ( even though I'd asked for a room at the back) and the bars around the corner were open till late and there's a taxi rank at the front too. Add on the noise of the fan from the kitchen beneath us that came on before breakfast each morning and went off at 11/12 pm, it made for a not very relaxing holiday. All this for about £450 per week room only!

Review 96：Rooms do not appear to be allocated until you arrive.We stayed two nights in an excellent (Penthouse) room after arriving late on a Sunday evening it ticked all our boxes. It even had a hot tub! After 3 nights on La Gomera we returned for 2 nights and what a difference. Having requested a quiet room at the rear of the property, away from the roads and traffic noise we were given what was probably the noisiest corner room at the front of the property overlooking two roads opposite noisy bars - until the early hours. Observed rotting window woodwork in kitchen area. Hairdryer was cracked. Bedspreads were in need of a wash. Furniture chipped. Gas burners in kitchen area would not ignite. We think certain apartments, that appear ready for refurbishment, are maybe reserved for short stays. We were informed at Reception that special requests cannot be guaranteed when bookings are made. We noted that our payments were taken at the time of our bookings.

Review 113：Appartment was facing road with a lot of noise from pubs across the road, so we had to sleep with windows closed. Stay was only for one night, so that was fine, but wouldn't like that for an extended holiday.

The lunch at the restaurant byreception was good value and the pool is nice. The apartments under thesame management across the road are nicer (Christian Sur) but there isfar more noise coming from some cabaret bars down that end of thestreet. So this place was ideal for a quiet, relaxing time. They alsolet me store my suitcase before taking an evening ferry.

Review 137：Apartments were good, we asked for a top floor apartment with pool view and that's what we got. No elevator, lots of steps so not so good for older folks but grand for us. Taxi rank outside the complex which was good as we went to Play de las Americas most nights which has a lot of bars with good entertainment. Recommend the Bulls Head, live band every night. Cost around €5 for taxi. We also went to Veronica's which is really buzzing with a lot of disco bars etc.. well worth a visit.. bus to Siam Parque approx 5 min walk (outside another hotel) and bus to Loro Parque right outside the complex! It has 2 supermarkets on site which was good. Heard a lot about a restaurant up the road with good food and entertainment (before booking the holiday) that you need to pre-book as they get busy, well they may be busy but the place is tiny so we just went elsewhere. Lot of older folks up there so good for them. Not so good for us! Next time we will stay in Play de las Americas!

Review 138：we came across a few cockroaches in the kitchen and in the bathroom old furniture and very old and broken pots and pans the ceiling fan was extremely noisy and a boy pooped in the pool.

Review 140：Main road noise from the constant buses and delivery vans passing. Payment for use of the safe - no deposit given back and the cost is quite expensive.
