Only a 10-minute walk from Lake Faak, the family-run Hotel-Pension Melcher is set amid the Karawanken Mountain Range. Most rooms have a balcony with mountain and lake views.
The rich breakfast buffet offers fine local specialities and an organic corner, and dinner can be booked directly on site. Guests of the Melcher can relax in the open-air lounge with an open fireplace in front of the house, and there is also a terrace with a small smoking area.
In summer, admission to the Drobollach beach is free for hotel guests. Many hiking trails can be found in the immediate surroundings.

Review 1：The hotel was closed for Winter (such a shame) and due to a Booking.com error we we had a false booking.
Review 2：The hotel opened for us anyway, giving us a room for the night and making breakfast for two the following morning. Amazing service and a beautiful location. Hopefully one day we can come back in Summer when the hotel is open for real!

One member of our party left his medications that required refrigeration behind. One quick phone call and the situation was handled. Family management at its best!!
