Reviews for Hotel Villa de Grazalema

Review 1:The mattresses were unlined and uncomfortable - you could feel the springs and the sheets slipped off.

Review 2:We liked how spacious the hotel was and the location.

Review 3:Wi-fi is only available in the lodge, and the beds were very noisy.

Review 4:We stayed in the villa and had a 2 bedrooms. The view of the town in the morning was amazing, and the living room area was great for hanging out. Breakfast buffet was yummy

Review 5:The fish at the dinner in the restaurant was rather rare, and had to be returned to the kitchen to get it well-done, btw the fish was accompanied by obviousy Micro-waved patatas fritas ...

Review 6:Nice and quiet location in the Sierra Grazalema - but if you come with the car, it is better to watch out for the signs to get there instead of following the navigation system (lead me to a dead end).

Review 7:The lack of staff and their attitude .There was no one on reception when we arrived and we waited for some time before a lady arrived with no apology for keeping us waiting - in fact limited conversation at all .Likewise at checkout no customer awareness at all. There was no one on the bar in the evening , just a note to say they were sorry but they were working in the restaurant .Eventually a lady from reception came to serve us. I appreciate that some cut backs may be necessary but I think this hotel had gone too far .I would think twice about booking into any of their other hotels

Review 8:Location - just a short drive to Grazalema centre where there are numerous bars & restaurants. Plenty of onsite parking. The room was clean and spacious with fantastic views across to Grazalema. Breakfast was extremely limited and not well presented in a cramped corner. _

Review 9:The name of the hotel as we booked it online, did not match the name on the signposts on the way into town, and so we took much longer to find it than we needed to

Review 10:Peaceful and out of the town, yet only ten minutes walk to get into the town Restaurant and staff very nice, views gorgeous

Review 11:Nothing

Review 12:This is a place that has been very special n our lives since 1989, when we first discovered it. We do not believe you can categorise it as you seem to wish. It has a type of mystique about it, with an indefinable atmosphere that only you, the customer, can engender in your reaction to the place, the people, the staff, the atmosphere, the surrounding mountainous countryside. We met other, older, Brits this year who feel exactly the same as we do.

Review 13:The cooking facilities were very basic in the apartments but food was so good and relatively cheap in town that it wasn't too bad.

Review 14:The location was fantastic, great walking straight from the Hotel through the town and uphill. Breakfast was basic continental but well presented. Prices in the Hotel were pretty good for food and drink and the town is literally a 10 minute walk. Very good value for money.

Review 15:Nothing!

Review 16:Easy parking on the premises. Very pleasant village with lively, friendly atmosphere. Lots of local people with kids outside in the evenings. Good places to eat and very reasonable.

Review 17:The problem of being understood in English, and the resulting attitude of the staff with this problem, resulting in a sense of not being welcomed.

Review 18:geographic position of my room and the hotel.

Review 19:Rooms were adverised on booking.com as air- conditioned, but it was turned off, despite hot weather.

Review 20:Pleasant, courteous staff; surprisingly good Menu del Dia dinners. Great views, and convenient to Grazalema.

Review 21:Humidity stains and mold on the bedrooms floor, poor kitchen and overall room equipment, very(!) bad food in the restaurant. Wood for the fireplace was twice as expensive as in the nearby market, you have to carry it over yourself.

Review 22:Panorama views and the fireplace in the room. The place has a great potential if well managed.

Review 23:Wifi in lobby only, bedding was old and needs replacing. Breakfast could use an egg.

Review 24:The heated bathroom floor was a real treat, and the lobby seating was very comfie. The heating system was excellent.

Review 25:The man at the reception was not very plesent. The beds were not comfortable and the breakfast was low quality.

Review 26:the price was good.we love the music at the lobby. the view of the vilage(Grazalema) the fireplace was nice and the heating system in the room was good

Review 27:It would have been more helpful if the hotel had a map of Grazalema and some information about surrounding area such as hiking route, etc.

Review 28:Excellent location in Grazalema with free on site parking. Spacious room with excellent village view.

Review 29:Noise from the bar was very loud in room h 116. Also, the WiFi did not work the two days we were there.

Review 30:The room was very spacious. The room was very clean with a great view from the balcony. Neat little town.

Review 31:The shower needed an upgrade.

Review 32:This hotel is a relaxing place to stay with fantastic mountain views. The village of Grazalema is a picturesque 10 minute walk and is well worth a visit. The food in the restaurant was really good.

Review 33:-No in-room wifi and very poor signal in public areas. -Uncomfortable bed. -Very low water pressure in shower.

Review 34:-Value for money. -Great views of Grazalema and surrounding areas. -

Review 35:A little basic in the apartments - told hotel rooms are similar.

Review 36:Great location with griffon vultures and eagles and chamois above the hotel and superb views across to the village which is a 10minute walk. Lots of parking too.

Review 37:Beds were not comfortable and small (making noise), you could practically hear everything that happens in the next and afternext room, the food was mostly tasteless

Review 38:View, quiet location

Review 39:The unruly pack of children who were not controlled by their parents. Not the hotel's fault of course.

Review 40:Location in a beautiful village. Helpful staff.

Review 41:Lovely mountain views. You can walk to the village where there are shops, restaurants and bars. Nice breakfast.

Review 42:The reception staff appeared uninterested in their guests and never engaged in any conversation even a good morning.

Review 43:The location.

Review 44:nothing

Review 45:everything.

Review 46:Having stayed in Grazalema 3 times before but actually in the village. We were delighted with Villa Turistica and will stay there on our next visit.

Review 47:Terrible Breakfast , Bad Coffee

Review 48:Location , Views Quiet , great pool

Review 49:Dinner in hotel restaurant very poor quality. Breakfast only so-so. Wifi available in lobby only.

Review 50:Beautiful view.

Review 51:No wifi in the room.

Review 52:Beautiful views. Nice grounds with pool.

Review 53:The facilities were bare minimal.

Review 54:The view

Review 55:Only single beds

Review 56:Really relaxing atmosphere, helpful staff. Perfect view of the valley from the bar

Review 57:Nice bar area to relax in.

Review 58:the food was not nice the staff was not kindly

Review 59:clous to the city

Review 60:Nice feeling for the hotel and the lounge where you could get a drink. In a quiet place near the centro.

Review 61:Location was great

Review 62:Good room, good en suite, fantastic view from terrace.

Review 63:Our outlets in our room were not standard, so we weren't able to charge our electronic devices.

Review 64:We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the town of Grazelema and the mountains. The town itself was about a 5 minute walk away. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant and I had the best salad I have ever eaten! Our stay in Hotel Turistica was one of the best hotels in our 30 day trip in Spain.

Review 65:The toilet lid was unstable and not comfortable. ( room 22) Wifi was unstable

Review 66:The view of the room and the space of the room. The quality of the beds. The service at dinner. The swimmingpool.

Review 67:The staff went way beyond what would be expected to help me solve some problems that required good Spanish. I cannot praise their patience, kindness, and helpfulness enough. The food and restaurant service were also excellent.

Review 68:The bed was way too soft! In fact, it bothered our backs

Review 69:Loved the agricultural stay outside of town, the roaring fire, the gourmet dinners, helpful staff

Review 70:bedroom had signs of dampness and even though it did not smell musty it was unsightly.

Review 71:walking distance to village. Flat was warm with heaters switched on when we got there.

Review 72:Some things are a bit worn down - also no WiFi in room and most of the time WiFi in lobby did not work. This booking was a last minute alternative to Fuerte Grazalema who decided to stay closed and things like breakfast buffet are night and day between the 2 but then again there's a price difference

Review 73:Balcony with nice view of Grazalema

Review 74:apartment complex is set out as a replica white village. we were the only ones staying there, which was bit strange. felt like you were staying in a deserted village. some of the complex needs decorating, looks a bit shabby in places.

Review 75:apartments offer spacious accommodation. nice views of grazalema. walking distance from the village.

Review 76:Very thin walls in room could hear the people next door breathing!

Review 77:Location was stunning. Room next to lovely pool. Warm welcome and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money

Review 78:There were one or two minor points that showed a lack of attention to detail eg a cigarette end on the terrace, anarticle of clothing left in a drawer and a couple of failed light bulbs. Also the lack of kitchen equipment- no pots and pans and no microwave !

Review 79:We are a mature couple, but had family with us and booked two 2- bedroom apartments. We were not looking for self-catering, which was just as well because kitchen equipment was virtually non-existent; otherwise the apartments were ideal for our needs.

Review 80:A few more sunbeds were needed.

Review 81:lovely views from the Hotel and within easy walking distance to the local village.Hotel food was reasonably priced and very good.

Review 82:Reception was very cool, we had to go look for someone to check us in. No explanation was given about anything. We noticed there was no aircon in the room, after claiming we were told the system was down. No compensation was offered and we just had to endure the heat (August). Actually, I believe there is no airconditioning at all in this hotel eventhough booking.com stated it has. There were not enough sunbeds around the pool, some in poor condition. Everyone seemed to scavenge sunbeds placed at the downstair rooms, so we followed this example. Nobody seemed to care.

Review 83:The pool was very nice, especially because of the heat. We really liked the local style breakfast, just delicious. Nice view from the belcony on the town of Gazalema and mountain. The style of the building and rooms look very authentic. Good choice to explore the surroundings and if you do not care about service.

Review 84:The central air-con had failed. Terribly hot, so we left after the first night. They had reopened too soon after a 3 year closure.

Review 85:Staff, pleasant room, breakfast. Easy, free parking. Lovely pool & gardens.Good reataurant.

Review 86:No ventilation in the bathroom.

Review 87:Superb location, great view of the mountains and the village of Grazalema, nice pool, very friendly and helpful staff, decent restaurant. The village of Grazalema is one of the most interesting in the area. Nice base for wandering around, hiking

Review 88:Breakfast was limited; a larger selection would be better i.e more than one fruit juice; yoghurts; more than two cereals, etc.

Review 89:Excellent value for money in a traditional finca style hotel. Food and drink reasonably priced; restaurant food very good.

Review 90:Staff was a little bit rude. The garden and pool were not clean enough to enjoy them (eg. There were sediments in the pool, there were strange bugs all over the pool, the grass is not real grass so walking barefoot is tough)

Review 91:Location, amazing view to the town of Grazalema. Very nice room and bathroom Hotel in general looks very nice and well maintained

Review 92:Breakfast bread not great

Review 93:Excellent location for trekking.

Review 94:Liked everything ~ location, staff all superb

Review 95:Great location to be with nature. The food at the hotel and tapas in town very good. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Review 96:Restuarant very good value but not that good. No matter bars in town only short walk away.

Review 97:The location and price.

Review 98:Distance from the village (it poured with rain all day on the only day I was there !!)

Review 99:The views from the room

Review 100:The chairs in the room

Review 101:The chairs in the bar. Good breakfast. Easy parking. 10-15 min walk to Grazalema center. Wonderfull view

Review 102:No thing to point out

Review 103:Nice place in a Good situation. Staff was friendly and service.

Review 104:missing kitchen equipement, noise from next room

Review 105:Great location, nice room, nice view, good meal

Review 106:Inconsistent WiFi service, no bedpads

Review 107:Location

Review 108:Nothing to dislike

Review 109:Lovely quiet location

Review 110:Temporary lack of wifi but allowed access to hotel computer.

Review 111:Wonderful location with very friendly and helpful staff
