Reviews for Mediterráneo Park
Review 1:The bed was very hard, so uncomfortable for me. The male waiters need to smile as much as the waitresses.
Review 2:There was a good choice of food at every meal. Cooked well and tasted good.
Review 3:If I'm honest this is a wonderful hotel for families and I would recommend it to anyone with children. The staff and facilities are wonderful for them. As 70+ age group it is not for us. However we loved watching the children have a great time.
Review 4:Awful!! I have to add I rarely complain but this place shocked me. Fromthe pictures the hotel looks amazing but dont be fooled this is not a4star hotel. I paid £328 for a room for 1 nightthat smelt of sewage thekids were cut by the pool tiles . Room full of birds poo on balcony andmould over air con and on ceiling . no wifi gym broken and when I triedto complain on 2 occasions there was no manager. Eventually spoke tohim on check out and all he offered me was a free lunch. Quite franklyyou boil in the dining room at breakfast And dinner so a lunch was ainsult especially as food terrible. I have cancelled my 2night stay forour return trip and feel utterly ripped off!! Never again. Notworthhalf the price.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Entertainment at night very bad to be a 4 star I was very disappointed.I have been to 4 star hotels in the Costa Del Sol, paid less for the hotel and the shows are 100% entertaining. One night they had a quiz night and in the restaurant next to us which is open air you have a lady signing flamenco and couldn't hear the quiz questions. The belly dance show was dreadful the professional belly dancer would dance on her own and the other women in a group at a different time. People were getting up and leaving as it was that bad.At 9am the sunbeds were already caught so we ended up going to the beach several times. The bedroom fridge door broke as we opened the fridge door. Every time you pulled the toilet chain a horrible smell of drainage. The food was very repetitive.you had to pay for your drinks every time you went for lunch and dinner. Gym needs upgrading no air con just a fan, smelt horrible and there was no one in it needs new machines for training. The place is big but needs upgrading from the outside it looks lovely but from the inside it's a different story. If you are travelleing in this area I was told from people who live there that the better hotels are 1 hour away from Roquetas Del Mar and the area is called Cabo De Gata.
Review 7:The pools are nice and big.The pool pics are the same as the ones you see on the website.
Review 8:The selection of food especially at dinner was repetitive.
Review 9:The location of the hotel is very good. Also the pools and slides are great for small kids. The beach is right in front of the hotel which is great.
Review 10:The swimingpool was not realy clean and they were just doing some renovation works thus a bit noisy at times
Review 11:The foodd was really great and the stuff was really helpful and friendly. We were with a small kid and they have tried to help us in every possible way. The rooms was recently renovated and with a lovely view.
Review 12:The indoor pool was full of hair, the walls were in need of decoration and it was all over- chlorinated which made the normal concept of swimming as being healthy, rather unhealthy and uncomfortable. My son's eyes were bloodshot the rest of the evening after swimming until 4pm. The hotel had several leaks in the roof and when it rained, it leaked all over the foyer and they put blankets and towels all over the floor to soak up the floods. Several of the staff were incredibly unfriendly bordering on rude. Guess they forget who pays their wages. The food was pretty shocking as the scrambled eggs were powdered, the meats (all in gravy in heated buffet trays) were all pretty poor quality and most foods very overcooked (for the old people?) We ate out of the hotel most having bought half board it was a total waste of money.
Review 13:We liked the outside pool and water slide on the one day we had good weather and were able to use it. The room was very clean and beds comfortable.
Review 14:The pools could of been cleaned more and the areas around the pool area could have been better. Found some of the food areas weren't kept full having to wait to long.
Review 15:We liked the swimming pool areas for our daughter aged 9 years.
Review 16:Only small complaint is that instead of the lifeguard quietly reorganising the sunbeds around the pool, he threw each one into position, which was very annoying whilst we were quietly enjoying the sunshine in that area.
Review 17:Everything. Staff, food, facilities and comfy bed. Great for walking , bars & restaurants nearby.
Review 18:What is not said in promotion of hotel is that most of the facilities are closed at this time. Only buffet restaurant was open and buffets are NOT my thing.
Review 19:Very nice hotel in a good location. Beach looked excellent although deserted at this time. The boardwalk installations were excellent, for a walker this is ideal.
Review 20:No wifi in rooms only in public areas. However, this seems to be standard in most hotels!
Review 21:View from room and great dining experience. Friendly helpful staff. Free parking.
Review 22:During both our stays here we have noticed that the main bar is always full each evening, but hardly anyone buys drinks at the bar because the prices are so high. (Even Happy Hour prices are fairly expensive for the area) In our opinion,in low season, if they reduced the prices, the clients would spend a lot more in house rather that going out to local bars.
Review 23:Large room with comfy beds and big balcony. Good variety of food. Our second stay here -- great location next to beach and near to bars, shops etc. Staff very friendly, especially in the restaurant. Excellent value for money.
Review 24:No extractor in the Bathroom, very bad. No enough hangers The load music in the main Bar, it was dreadful, and because if it we went to a local bar, you could even hear it in our room
Review 25:The food was excellent and a very good choice. the size of the rooms were bigger than expected. The Sea view was excellent
Review 26:The beds were extremely uncomfortable, pillows all most non existent.
Review 27:The water slides were great fun, The food was very good and The staff excellent, very friendly. Good service.
Review 28:The restaurant was too busy and therefore messy. The food was cold. The room was dated and entertainment was far too loud for small children. You couldn't get a sunbed unless you went down early. We left early as it was not relaxing at all.
Review 29:The pool was great for the children.
Review 30:Food was poor not very tasty quite bland under staffed and bed was hard and could do with a revamp and lacked simple things like good lighting in the shower room and main part of the room
Review 31:Good air conditioning in the room and room was a fair size location is to the beach is very good
Review 32:Glassware and plates were wet when served. Rooms were not clean. Bedlinen extremely old and used. Car parking far away. Pooldeck was reserved with towels at 7 am. Service was slow as there was not enough staff available.
Review 33:Staff were helpful but totally busy.
Review 34:leeking roof after heavy rain, daft room
Review 35:nice location, nice swimming pool
Review 36:A lovely situated hotel with all the facilities you need. The hotel catered for all ages.
Review 37:nothing
Review 38:everything
Review 39:Food was not hot for the evening buffet.
Review 40:Location. Quiet at this time of year. good quality of buffet.
Review 41:hotel standard sub standard. dirty, not enough staff to look after facilities. rooms dirty and damp.just horrible.
Review 42:Wi-fi did not always work
Review 43:The atmosphere and choice of catering facilities Staff very friendly
Review 44:Nothing really- the pictures on your website are false.- really disappointed.
Review 45:Staff and food very good and friendly
Review 46:Entertainment was mainly aimed at Spanish pensioners and was quite boring for any other nationality or younger people
Review 47:Lousy fried eggs and bacon Which you get everywhere in Spain. Other than that, spot on!
Review 48:Pools. Wifi was good. Food excellent.
Review 49:Wifi did not work in any room Only one toilet on ground floor.
Review 50:Comfort and very nice room. Food and dining room very good
Review 51:WIFI was not available in the rooms
Review 52:close to the sea
Review 53:The wide choice of food at mealtimes. The very reasonable prices. The friendly staff.
Review 54:Mini suite great ,full bathroom exellent, suite 531.will be going again soon,
Review 55:the location,staff wasnt helpfull,
Review 56:bath, shower and wash basins in the bedroom
Review 57:Location of hotel to beach, shops and bars
Review 58:The bedroom very old and some stuff did not work, i would not go back unless they recyclin all the bedrooms
Review 59:The garden it was nice
Review 60:No complaints it is for young parents and children but we oldies enjoyed it.
Review 61:The hotel was diwn a narrow access road and was so surprisingly colourful and varied in form woth towers and differently coloured sections that we thought that it could not be ours. Full marks for architecture. Also food was lovely all buffet and great choice. Location was great on the sea front. Pools were great too we mainly watched. I would recommend highly for young parents and children.
Review 62:Although paid for full board, no drinks (even tap water) weren't included in lunch or dinner. Only breakfast bar had unlimited tea, coffee and juice. We were not aware of this until we went for lunch. Water in bathroom tasted salty Slides started to run from 11.30am-1pm and from 3.30pm-about 6pm
Review 63:Outdoor pools, slides, Jacuzzi and indoor pool Friendly staff (but practice some spanish before you go) free sunbeds Tv channels for kids Indoor heated pool and jacuzzi opened at 9am so we could enjoy ourself even when the water outside was still cold in May Free playgrounds on the beach every 5 minutes walk in each direction beach was clean every day (even out of season) located literally outside the hotel Very safe area and hotel, beautiful views all around Town nearby with all you need, shops, restaurants, market every Thursday, we had car so it was easy 5 minutes drive to shops (Lidl, shopping centre, toys rus, Primark etc.) Only half an hour drive from Almeria Room was comfortable, spacious and clean, bathroom was big, enough hangers and storage space, terrace with pool and sea view
Review 64:Although spacious rooms, they are very tired and in need of a refurb, leaking taps, hooks missing off walls, TV that was out of the ark, furniture and walls very scratched. had to request a change of towels etc as room wasn´t cleaned in a 3 day stay. With the exception of you having full board, some days there was nowhere in hotel to get a snack at lunchtime and you were sent down the road to a bar??????Doesn´t warrant 4 stars.
Review 65:Excellent breakfast & Evening buffet, very good selection. Lovely pool area and fantastic if you have children.Staff are polite.
Review 66:Getting there is a bit of a zig zag through the streets. Parking in close proximity is scarce and will probably be an issue in peak season.
Review 67:We were pleasantly surprised by the setup of the hotel. Although it seemed a bit crowded in some areas like the lobby and dining area, there was a nice family orientated vibe present. Nice selection of restaurants in close proximity with very affordable prices. Aircon in the room is excellent. Proximity of beach. Very good value for money, will definitely stay here again.
Review 68:We got really bored with the food choice - though always tasty, it was usually monotonous. A wider variety would have been key!
Review 69:The staff were genuinely kind. They looked after our every need and accommodated - as best they could - our requests. The hotel itself was a glorious place to stay in. We felt save and very well looked after. Staff like Wendy, Eliza, Vanessa and the entire team from Front desk to cleaners were truly awesome! The location and facilities were spot on for a family with young kids.
Review 70:No English TV Chanel. Food high gin very poor.Customer Service is very poor. No ventilation in the bathroom.
Review 71:Location is very good. Good Swimming pools.
Review 72:Mattresses were very hard. Lifts quite small - difficult for anyone with impaired mobility to use to get their 'buggy' to their room. Also, lifts didn't go below ground floor, so I was unable to use the indoor pool.
Review 73:All staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the circular bath, although it was a bit unnerving to have it in the bedroom! Outside pool almost tempted me - but possibly too cold in February!
Review 74:Only one pillow on bed & none spare in cupboard. Had to ask for extra pillows. but when we did ask. it was no problem
Review 75:Great rooms, attentive helpful staff, good variety of food & plentiful. Would highly recommend & we would stay again.
Review 76:Would prefer waiter service for evening meals ,but that is just our preference.
Review 77:The building is art deco in style , has fantastic swimming pools, and is right on a marvellous beach.
Review 78:Parking is a problem even though there appeared to be relatively few guests at the time of our stay. Cutlery was not always as well washed as it should be - especially desert spoons.
Review 79:Excellent attitude and service from reception staff, including the Manager. A good variety and presentation of menu dishes. The standard of the room and view across the swimming pools and out to sea.
Review 80:2 people in room but only one chair! room for an armchair. Had to ask for bath towel one day ( only one b/towel left in room.) car park difficult - could do with more space.
Review 81:bed comfortable -though could be a little bigger . good choice of fish at evening meal.
Review 82:Lack of parking could be a problem in summer? There aren't many bars and restaurants in the immediate area but it is only a short walk along a lovely beachside promenade until you find some really good Tapas bars.
Review 83:I really enjoyed my stay here, the food was very varied and plentiful. Room 121 was excellent, with a terrace leading into a lagoon style pool. The childrens area in the main pool was amazing. The hotel is on a lovely beach, very relaxing and there are a number of different bars on the hotel complex. The reception staff were very helpful, I would return here again and again!
Review 84:The two things that I didn't like it was, the ladies at the reception, very unfrendly. The room was bigger but with no privacy.
Review 85:The hotel facilities we're great, the outdoor pool was excelent. It´s an excelent beach hotel very nice for family holidays. The kids loved the slides. In generally everything went weel. Probably I will return to the hotel.
Review 86:Not a 4* hotel, room in our wing very dated and shabby, some lights not working and fridge worked intermittently. Bathroom small dated décor unclean taps, worn out shower, poor towels not changed enough NOT 4*
Review 87:location, pool area, buffet service
Review 88:More staff required at lunch and dinner (manager and 4 staff to deliver drinks, clear tables and set up tables)
Review 89:Large rooms, extra large pool with islands and the relaxed entertainment
Review 90:They got the room reservation wrong and couldn't rectify their mistake because the hotel was full (so they said). A plastic cup of fanta was almost double the cost of a pint of beer. No parking for our car despite attempts at reserving in advance. Had to park outside a chemist in the middle of town and hope I wasn't going to get clamped.
Review 91:Excellent food with plenty of choice, nice and fresh and well stocked. The pools are clean, warm and inviting. The life guards were actively stopping horseplay. Very safe environment for very young children. Flumes and water slides for the older kids are great.
Review 92:Bad water: the water Mediterraneo hotel is using is salty, takendirectly from sea, taste of coffee and tea is also salty. There is noboiler in the room. We were staying with infant and he needed boiledwater for prepering food to him. Reception service denayed our request, which is bad.
Review 93:Close to the sea.
Review 94:The indoor pool was very disappointing the hotel food wasn't great either.
Review 95:The outside pools were lovely the room was nice and spacious for a family room.
Review 96:there was alot of building work which i thought by mid april should have been completed if you want to go out of the hotel it is a 20min walk to local shops and bars the hotel is difficult to find and the sinage is at a low level making it difficult to see
Review 97:the hotel was on the sea front the food was plentyful and good quality there was entertainment in the hotel both during the day and night the drinks were a reasonable price this is a family hotel
Review 98:We stayed for a weekend and did not get a change of towels, nor beds made.
Review 99:Room was FANTASTIC, big comfortable, nice aspect to the outdoor pool. Quality and choice of food was excellent. Bar prices very reasonable. EXCELLENT value for money.
Review 100:May have been the time of year, but 99% of guests were Spanish, so all entertainment in Spanish.
Review 101:The location was excellent, the rooms were good, and staff very friendly.
Review 102:winter work around the pool area, plus a lack of toilets in hotel.
Review 103:good walks and bike rides along sea front plus small road train and hores and carriage to small shopping aera10 mins.
Review 104:Limited choice of restaurant facilities although the hotel was very busy there was only one restaurant open the web site states there is a pizza restaurant and an a la carte. The main restaurant was self service and very large.Limited car parking space.
Review 105:Reception & bar area was very spacious, very large free form pool plus heated indoor pool.Junior suite was very big & had large circular bath.
Review 106:In February most of the bars were closed. Entertainment was aimed at thelarge numbers of Spanish pensioners. The food wasn't very good - andthere was building work going on, which meant some drilling noise.
Review 107:Beachside location was very good.
Review 108:The lifts were very small and we struggled to get our pushchair in thelift with us both. There was no lift to the downstairs area or theindoor pool which made it very difficult for us with a young child asthe steps were steep.
Review 109:The reception area, bar and buffet restaurant were very nice. The foodwas very good and had a wide choice for everyone. The hotel is mainlySpanish but that was not a problem for us as we live in Spain. The suitethat we stayed in was spacious and comfortable.
Review 110:End of season stay - the hotel was closing down for a month the day we left, so things were looking a bit tired, and the food was sometimes lacking in variety. LOcation is a little cut off from the buzz.
Review 111:Excellent facilities, with indoor (with jacuzzi) & beautiful outdoor pools. Buffet style service at mealtimes - decent selection. Lovely large rooms with massive round bathtub! Located right on the seafront.
Review 112:Value for money, good 4 stars hotel in price of 2 stars (we paid 50 Euros per night with Hald Board) and also have room upgrade! We have WiFi in the room (oficially no WiFi in rooms) Great dinners, big choice and very tasty!! (especially fish dishes and salads) Huge round bath in the room Free car park
Review 113:the Pizzeria restaurant was not open and we would have liked to try it.
Review 114:It is a beach front hotel and was very comfortable, clean and was what we anticipated.
Review 115:On arrival I was given a room on ground floor, very dark with an openplan bathroom which means bedroom and bathroom in a same room. I refusedthat room so they gave me another room on the 5th floor nice view fromits balcony but the room inside needs attention to its paint work. Thepaint on its ceiling was falling down, the room looked very old and needattention. Food although a good variety it repeated the same nearlyevery day. And the worse of our holliday was the amount of flieseverywhere in the city. At the swimming pool, at the beach or having awalk along the promenade it was incredible. I have never ever seen somuch flies in my life. I can say that we will never go back and if we dowe will try another hotel for example the one beside, Hotel Soridapark/gardens.
Review 116:The food wasn't that bad although breakfast should have had morevariety. The option of parking your car in a garage at a cost of 8 eurosper day which was fantastic for me.
Review 117:The day we arrived it was blowing a gale and not inducive to swimming /sun bathing. The next day the area around the pool looked a bit untidyas though nobody was concerned about how the place looked.
Review 118:We were only there for one day to catch up with some friends but foundit clean and welcoming and the staff all seemed very helpful.
Review 119:The half-board buffet breakfast and dinner did not meet my expectationsfor a 4-star hotel.- coffee from the coffee machine was undrinkable - the juices were not natural - there was not enough variety in the food It looks to me as if the hotel tries to cater for elderly guests who probably don't care or expect this variety and this helps them keep costs down, but I would certainly have appreciated something a little better. The website didn't specify (or perhaps I missed it) exactly what was included in the half-board eating arrangements. Not a problem but drinks were not included. It would be nice to make this clearer.
Review 120:* The hotel was generally good, with friendly staff, and well located right next to the beach.* While the hotel says no Internet connection is available there was one in the bar which I used and seemed to work quite well. * Views from our room were nice.
Review 121:Understaffed in bar & restaurant
Review 122:Great pool area. excellent food.
Review 123:my room, car parking,
Review 124:the pool
Review 125:Hotel very understaffed! No drinks service poolside near the bar.
Review 126:Excellent swimming pool facilities & good kids entertainer! Great food
Review 127:Dinner
Review 128:Area is top + waiters in lobby are very friendly!
Review 129:facilities & location
