Reviews for Hotel Andrea´s

Review 1:My room was bordered on a dark courtyard in which a ventilation system was drawn up. After 00.00 they turned it off. Breakfast was very poor. When I left I forgot some Apple wires. I send an e-mail to the hotel with a request if I could pick up the materials on my way back. The staff didn't bother to respond on my message.

Review 2:The room was sober but clean.

Review 3:Our room faced the road at rear of hotel- quite noisy as it was 3 Kings fiesta night, Jan 5th

Review 4:Good location between bus and ferry. Superior twin room had long beds.

Review 5:The receptionist is positively impolite, both at arrival and departure. She is the one negative feature of the hotel.

Review 6:Completely renovated rooms. Excellent improvement

Review 7:No pool. No problem should have read description lol

Review 8:Excellent location, rooms clean and good decor 5 mins from beach .no pool. Didn't try the food . Would definitely stay again

Review 9:Walls not so Sound proof if annyoing neighbours.

Review 10:Strategic Location on the way from Tenerife South Airport to La Gomera (5 min walk from bus Station as well as from Ferry Pier and from pedestrian Zone and beach). No frills room with good beds.

Review 11:Very poor relation quality-price. The staff was very rude. This is very surprising, taking in account that people from Canary Islands is usually very kind and always smiling and generous. They charge extra money in everything they can: WiFi (2 euros/day/device!!! this is unbelievable in 2.016), remote control for TV!!!, other extras (fan, iron...). Very noisy during the night and too hot (a fan is not enough).

Review 12:It was clean and renovated room.

Review 13:The street of the hotel is a bit noisy but we were at the fourth floor so this was not a problem to us. Also the walls in between the rooms were very thin so you could basically hear whatever was happening next door. But luckily we had quiet people close to us so it was not a problem.

Review 14:The location is perfect 2 mins from what to me is the best beach in the south of Tenerife. The area around the hotel has all the facilities that a tourist may want but at the same time it maintains its canarian character. The room of the hotel was really nice and super clean. We also appreciated the breakfast in the morning. The personnel is just wonderful and always has a special attention for its guests. They gave us lots of tips and we were very happy thank you

Review 15:For this price: nothing

Review 16:Friendly owner / hostess. Good internet, wifi Restaurants close to the hostel in a boring town like this is a definite plus

Review 17:the tv comes on automatically which was a real nuisance as I couldn't find a way to turn it off (you have to pay refundable 10e deposit for remote not a problem but would have been good to say that at reception when one checks in) wifi was 2e a day / I think it should have been free (password protected) in lobby area (as in other places I stayed in) I liked it that there wasn't free wifi in rooms -makes you get off the internet and out and about

Review 18:location was really great! it would have been good to tell us there was a way without having to go up the stairs (only found that out when I left) room was rather small for a double and there was absolutely no view but a very good hot powerful shower and very comfy bed No a/c but windows opened wide and the fan worked well, so very comfortable at night good little fridge (with no freezer compartment) - a bottle of water was provided which was a nice touch great locked storage for luggage after my stay and nice reception area and sitting area outside in hot sun as well

Review 19:Disappointing was removal of the writing desk facility. I had to perch on the bed next to the bedside cabinet in order to use my computer. This was despite the room being large enough for a desk to be placed (although distant from a power outlet). The refrigerator is relatively useless as unpowered when the room is vacated. I was in room 101 (which has connotations as UK readers will know!). This had a fan in an adjacent outside area - bringing in noise until 23.00 or so - fortunately not going on all through the night.

Review 20:After my last visit March 2015, I appreciated the much improved shower facility and the provision of an electric kettle plus the complimentary tea/coffee, also the larger number of power outlets.

Review 21:Very good for an overnight stay in Los Cristianos before going to La Gomera. 10 minute walk from ferry port and less to the main beach and bars. Will book again for our return from La Gomera

Review 22:Safety box not free. Wifi 2e / day and no guarantee working. Value for money (room/facilities) compared to many other hotels is not ok.

Review 23:Location, near to everything. Small but clean room.

Review 24:bad wi-fi, but i think this is an issue for the entire island

Review 25:close to the beach, supermarkets and bus stop, really nice and helpfull staff. it was awsome!

Review 26:WiFi is paid. It did not even get to our room, so there was no point in actually paying for it. WiFi experience was basically terrible.

Review 27:The before and after photos of Los Cristianos on walls in corridors. Well, I liked those "before" :-)

Review 28:We just stayed for 1 night and then caught the ferry the next morning for our holiday in La Gomera - a fan and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Clean, modern, comfortable room

Review 29:Wi-fi should be included, not paid extra. It's very fast and stable, and it's not a question of 2euro for 24hrs, just the inconvenience of having to remember about an extra service that should be obvious in the 21st century.

Review 30:The place may not look like much from the outside, but it's completely renovated inside, newly painted, quality fixtures and furniture. Very decent, minimalistic decor, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. It's a very short walk from the bus station and another short walk from the harbour with ferries to other islands. Perfect location and very quiet at night.

Review 31:Large room, friendly staff. Good value for money, but I guess I got an upgrade due to lack of free rooms. Free and fast internet - rather unusual in Canarian Is and Spain in general where even paid internet may so slow to make it next to useless.

Review 32:Location slightly further from guagua station but not really a problem. Otherwise all positive.

Review 33:The hotel was under major refurbishment and so I was transferred to the apartments SolMar for my one-night stay. The apartment was wellfitted with good sound insulation from the street. Arrangements for my arrival were good (note on door - with telno to ring). Trusted to leave keys and payment in the room.

Review 34:Noisy late evening as sounds of late comers echo through hotel. Our room was hot as one window opened into small enclosed area, so no air movement. But you can request a fan.

Review 35:Walking distance to Bus station, easy walk to beach and port. Cafe for breakfast and light meals next door, good Pizzeria downstairs. Simple accommodation at a good price, with helpful staff.

Review 36:Tiny safe deposit box, charged at €2/day - not large enough for laptop or tablet. Noise insulation is poor. Considerable noise from the street below started early. No tea/coffee-making facility but vending machines near reception.

Review 37:24-hour reception Modest price but allow for Wi-Fi & safe deposit - each €2/day (less for longer stays). Good location

Review 38:No breakfast available. No free WiFi. Bathtub old, damaged, rusty party everywhere.

Review 39:Close to the beach and bus station. Good value for money. Room had bathtub.

Review 40:No breakfast included nor at all available. No free WiFi. Barely any daylight or fresh air (windows towards lightshaft). Bath in particular rather worn down.

Review 41:Near to both the beach promenade and the main bus station. Reasonable price.

Review 42:Normal rooms are small, with no TV or table. There is no pool or outside garden/sitting area. Better accommodation can be found at this price or little more.

Review 43:Close to shops, beach and bus station.

Review 44:I will not stay there again because they don't do breakfast. Or provide tea/coffee making facility in the room. It is just a bit too basic. I need a hot drink before I step outside and I do not want to get it from a machine.

Review 45:Clean, convenient, cheap

Review 46:Bedroom window open into shaft up the middle of the building and cigarette smoke would fill the room whenever anyone smoked out of their window below you.

Review 47:Colse to everything but quiet at the same time

Review 48:interior quite run down loud room towards the back (gas station right under the window, quite smelly), pigeons sitting and cooing outside window shower cabin very tiny, I (1.67/55 kg) just fitted in - shower cabin doors leaked - bathroom flooded

Review 49:staff was nice

Review 50:the double bed was verry small for 2 people who are not a couple, Next time will book twin beds if available.

Review 51:location exellent, only 15 min walk to the harbour and ferry to La Gomera

Review 52:Because I have only stayed here on short stays I would not like to leave any negative feedback. I have had no complaints at all.

Review 53:This hotel is ideal for short stays. Have stayed here 3 times now and cant fault it.

Review 54:The rooms could have done with Tea Making equipment.Unfortunely the bedspread had a cigarette burn in it.

Review 55:It was very central and handy for Restaurants and bars.Shops also nearby.

Review 56:Paying extra for WiFi needs to be changed. It should be free to all guests, and all their devices. Even though I paid I could not connect my phone and PC at the same time ... ridiculous!

Review 57:Location

Review 58:Told receptionist main light did not work. She replied we must have not switched it on properly. She came to room and checked that it did not work. She did not offer to replace light bulb or change room. Just said grudgingly that she would get someone to sort it out tomorrow. She knew we were only there one night. We have stayed there 4 years running. This attitude has caused us reconsider for future.

Review 59:Location convenient for ferry port. Reasonable value by Los Cristianos levels.

Review 60:No free Wifi - but for 1 night it didn't matter.

Review 61:We stayed one night so we could get to the airport for an early flight, after being on La Gomera. Hotel is well located for both the port and airport. Will use again if we need a Los Cristianos stopover.

Review 62:Nothing really i didn't like. I have stayed here before and not issues then

Review 63:Prime location for Los Cristianos and Las Americas. Clean hotel and friendly staff.

Review 64:Uncomfortable bed and No tea making on first visit. We would have liked free wi fi. We knew this before booking so we shouldn't complaine and it is available in many of the cafés, just test it's working before ordering. No kettle on first stay but to be fair reviews on this were conflicting! A bit noisy

Review 65:We stayed in the hotel twice. On the first ocasion the bed was uncomfortable, but much better on he second. We got a good kettle on the second stay. Receptionist knowledgeable. Some fire doors Nice to have a fridge Able to leave cases in a looked room.

Review 66:A lot of noise from trucks etc. Few extras - no swimming pool, no sunchairs, no wifi in rooms, little space for making a cup of coffee etc.

Review 67:Pizzas from Andrea's Pizza were delicius. In the midlle of the town.

Review 68:Some rooms that have not been renovated are really tired and old fashioned looking. No TV in one room we had and bathroom badly in need of a makeover. There is a strange smell in the some of the public areas. One receptionist was really miserable. WiFi really poor and you had to pay for it. Entrance round the back is a bit hard to locate at first.

Review 69:Newly fitted rooms good and nicely decorated, with TV and tea and coffee facilities. It is in a convenient location, just 5 minutes from all the buses and 5 minutes from the port and beach. It is cheap and handy for a night or two if going on a ferry.

Review 70:We had to argue to be given a room with a proper window but we still couldn't get a double bed and a TV like on our first stay although we had booked well in advance. Some staff at the reception are awkward others are great, it is like a lottery, it depends on which of them you happen to face in the first place.

Review 71:We liked the view on the street and the short distance to beach & bus station.

Review 72:The staff on our second stay who dumped us in a room with virtually no window and two narrow beds, we had to struggle to get another room with a proper window and still no large bed and no TV.

Review 73:The staff on our first stay (we slept there twice) who offered us a beautiful suite with a "cama matrimonial" at no extra cost.

Review 74:Paid Wi-Fi very poor, rooms facing the main road were quite noisy

Review 75:Clean hotel, basic but adequate room, helpful friendly staff, easy access to bus station, reasonably easy walking distance to ferry port, room on the inside of the hotel quiet but no view.

Review 76:In fact we stayed two nights one on arrival just to spend one night in Los Christianos before to go to La Gomera and one on the return before to take our plane.. The first we had booked through Booking.com was bad, the walls being paper thin we could hear our neighbors speaking as if they were in our room, we could not complain as after all they were just speaking which you can do in your hotel room but we could not sleep before 1am. On the return we took the last room that was available the receptionist guaranteed us that this one was quieter, well, the door of the wardrobe was broken there was no tv but worst of all it was near a ventilation system so noisy that we thought we were in a plane, earplugs saved us but for 55€ you could expect better.

Review 77:Th only good thing is that it is close to the buses going to the airport

Review 78:Very noisy, seems to have paper thin walls, and we could hear snoringfrom the next room and all the sounds from the main road. But other thanthat I have no complaints and I'd go back.

Review 79:I've stayed here three times now - before going to El Hierro on theferry, after getting back from El Hierro and before getting the ferry toLa Gomera, and before the flight back to the uk. The situation isexcellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It's basic, but does what it sets out to do - it reminds me of a Travelodge.

Review 80:Noise transmission (but not as bad as in some other reviews) - mostly via balconies. Lack of refrigerator.

Review 81:The location - convenient for the guagua (bus!) station and not far from the beach or the town. Proximity to the "Panaria" bread-shop and cafe - excellent place for snacks and light meals. Kettle in room. Hot water supply. "Black-out" curtains. Bed-side lights. Balcony.

Review 82:My single room was gloomy and very basic and looked inwards to asmall grotty interior space. No outside view. Not particularly cheapat 39 euros.

Review 83:Location and very good pizza restaurant on location.

Review 84:Location, cost and cleanliness. We drove over from Puerto de la Cruz for the day due to the weather and we're looking for a cheap and cheerful place for 1 night. Excellent value for money although paid wi-fi I was unable to use (possibly operator error).

Review 85:Rather noisy at night. No free WiFi - but you can get WiFi and a good breakfast in a cafe on the next street.

Review 86:Good central location. Not too far from the port, which was good as we were staying here before catching the ferry to El Hierro. A good way away from the crazy tourist centre of Los Cristianos. Quite basic, but good enough for a short stay at a reasonable price.

Review 87:Great value hotel in a fantastic location. Staff are great - helped us sort an issue with our car out and were very helpful. Second stay and would definitely go back again.

Review 88:Nothing

Review 89:Ended up staying here as an emergency one night stop over after a problem with another hotel. This was the cheapest we could find in this area and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was a very good size and the shower was very good. Some people may think the room to be basic but it does the job. The location is very good and good value for money. I would have no problem staying here again.

Review 90:We used the Hotel Andrea's for an overnight stop prior to catching the early morning ferry to La Gomera. The hotel location was ideal and just a 15 minute walk to the ferry terminal. The price was excellent.

Review 91:Basic shabby bathroom and furniture . No A C. Noise.

Review 92:An old hotel . fairly clean but very basic and shabby . No AC so very hot . Good hot water bit bathroom shabby holes in towels . showroom screen dirty and everything just old . clean sheets . Very noisy and due to AC you need to keep windows only .Fairly good position for us as we only wanted one night before ferry to launch gamers.

Review 93:Noisy motorcycles / busy road, but it s common in the city

Review 94:Staff, much more quality than expected for this price. Nice and cheap coffee vending machine at the entrance.

Review 95:No balcony or external window, no FREE WiFi in the room, the noisy maintenance work going on early in the morning, no kettle in the room and the dust in the hallways.

Review 96:The nearness to the harbour and bus station and the friendliness of the receptionist.

Review 97:This hotel had no pool or tv in the room and also because it was located on a main road unfortunately it was very noisy from the noise of the traffic! There was only 2 single beds in the room as it seemd to be the same in all rooms and because of a locker between them you were unable to push them together.

Review 98:This hotel was in a nice location only about a 5 min walk from the beach and main port of los cristianos. The staff were very nice and helpful, checkin and check out were very quick. The hotel itself was very quiet and for my stay there I dont think I heard one other guest.

Review 99:The wooden shutter on the balcony was a little bit dirty.

Review 100:It was quite close to the see (5 min), it is located in a good area, close to shops, bank, police, bus station. It is worth for that money. Viva Los Cristianos :)

Review 101:Very warm with a window facing the air shaft. Couldn't turn of one of the bedlamp.

Review 102:Clean room with a fridge. Close to the beach.

Review 103:Value for. Money

Review 104:Nothing wrong at all.

Review 105:Quiet convenient well priced hotel,, convenient to the port.

Review 106:Charging for wi go

Review 107:Staff

Review 108:Room had only a small window facing an inner area with a noisy generator/air conditioner. Bed very hard. Generally an unpleasant room.

Review 109:room with interior view really basic room, no free internet way over priced for what you get

Review 110:location

Review 111:Ideal location

Review 112:Nothing really

Review 113:Location; Great Bed;

Review 114:No air conditioning would benefit from a fan of some kind otherwise no complaints.

Review 115:Location stayed one night towel,s lovely .great value.

Review 116:Wifi wasn't free and there was bad connection in the room

Review 117:Location is really close to the city centre

Review 118:wi fi only in lobby, and poor there too

Review 119:it was nice and quiet

Review 120:Heat.

Review 121:Hot!!

Review 122:We had stayed here before so we new it was great value and rely central...

Review 123:Room was too hot & stuffy with ineffective ceiling fan.

Review 124:Very convenient location & facilities are good with helpful reception staff.

Review 125:up dated rooms, and reception, very clean will stay again, exellent location for beach &transport,

Review 126:No aircon and extremely noisy with windows open

Review 127:Much improved after recent refurbishment

Review 128:The room was very warm at night even with a fan

Review 129:Great Location

Review 130:no kitchen

Review 131:Room was very tired.

Review 132:Staff are great

Review 133:A lot of noise from room next door - till late.

Review 134:Location. Staff very helpful

Review 135:Room was hot, no fan or air con.

Review 136:Only a 10 minute walk to the port of Los Cristianos, quick check in and out, clean and quiet room.

Review 137:Not possible to sleepThe room was in terrible condicion.Dirty.
