Reviews for Torreluz Centro
Review 1:Very noisy. We could hear the men in the room next door. The walls are very thin. Take ear plugs with you. The road signs are confusing. No signs for Torreluz centro have to follow signs for Torreluz Nuevo. Very confusing.
Review 2:Very central and good value for money. Also liked the parking facility although we were charged the car park was close by and secure.
Review 3:We booked the hotel Torreluz Centro but on arrival we were not very happy with the room as it was old and not very nice. I went to the reception and asked to be moved to another room, we ended up paying extra to stay in the hotel next door which also belonged to the hotel. This was much better and cleaner so we were much happier there. I could not recommend the Torreluz Centro to anybody. The location and parking were great
Review 4:A nightmare to find.Situated in an area of narrow one way streets. You can park in a drop off point outside but only for 10 minutes.Hotel car park is also horrendous to locate even with explicit instructions. There are barriers and tight turns to negotiate. Hotel is located on a small plaza so street noise until late. Good breakfast in the sister hotel which is adjacent.Lots of good tapas bars close by.
Review 5:Easy to walk to the Alcazar and other attractions
Review 6:Nothing
Review 7:got upgraded to the more expensive 4 star hotel for free. Location was excellent, staff friendly and very helpful, the room very comfortable and spotless.
Review 8:We're actually given room from Torreluz Nuevo (****), not Torreluz Centro (**)- with same price. Both are same company and have mutual reception. Our room was very nice, clean and heating worked. Breakfast was good as well. Staff was always helpful and friendly.
Review 9:Excellent location, close by to shops and boutiques, the highlight is the friendly service of the hotel staff, starting when you check in, also the wait staff in the restaurants, I highly recommend the delicious desserts in La Taberna Torreluz.
Review 10:our room was below a permanent resident in the apartment block, so was quite noisy., from chairs constantly scraping the tiled floor etc...as the hotel rooms are carpeted. square is popular, atmospheric but noisy.
Review 11:very central, great atmosphere, staff great, very welcoming, we got a breakfast and parking deal, so took the hassle out of trying to find a suitable parking space, value for money on a small budget
Review 12:Absolutely perfect location for all the attractions. I was a little apprehensive before arriving at the hotel not knowing what to expect. Would book here again.
Review 13:TorreLuz Centro I guess is a cheaper version of Nuevo TorreLuz. When you walk into TorreLuz Centro, no one is there to greet you or check you in. Go straight to Nuevo TorreLuz. We waited several minutes before a maid happened to walk by and said we check in at the big hotel in the same plaza.
Review 14:Clean and quiet
Review 15:small room & bathroom (but probably it depends, beacause others were spacious) breakfast - they are serving in near 4* Torreluz hotel - reaaly poor at this price and standard
Review 16:clean room, good wifi location in the center of the town, but to get to the beach it takes 20-30 min walking
Review 17:I booked parking but did not know I would have to leave my car with them for them to park. Which meant it was difficult for me to access the rest of the stuff in my car after just taking out my suitcases then in the night I needed my tablets which were still in the car and could not get them because I would have had to go across the road to the other Hotel and see if there was somebody there that could take me down to the car it just wasn't worth the hassle.
Review 18:The price of the hotel was very good for where it was situated in the centre of Almeria. It was a Large enough room for 2 people and the bathroom was a good size with plenty of nice white clean towel. Breakfast was €9 that was Continental, menu of the day was €12 but it was written in Spanish. The staff were all very helpful.
Review 19:Really hard to find a car park before going into the hotel. Also a little confusion at first because the reception for Torreluz central and Torreluz nuevo are both served at the location of torreluz nuevo
Review 20:Nice and comfortable,
Review 21:We were greeted at desk by smiling staff that were so helpful, the rooms very clean and comfortable. Car Parking very close by at a reasonable rate. If in Almeria we will return. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Review 22:The breakfast buffet had a big choice of products but all of them lacked in quality. Most things were tasteless so we ate mostly fruit and toast with olive oil and tomatoes. WiFi signal in rooms was very poor.
Review 23:Clean, cosy, spacious rooms with new linen. It is modern but not overwelming. A welcoming interior and a top notch location.
Review 24:There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Review 25:Tapas bar was very good, and staff were very helpful we found the location excellent, would definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 26:Pay for parking which was very expensive . Wifi wasn't great kept loosing connection. No pool!
Review 27:Location great, was upgraded too as original booking was Unavailable free shower gel and shampoo was nice!
Review 28:Terible cleaning standards insects in the bath tub horrible smell during the day hairs left over Toilet basin overflow room had been smoked in despite booking non smoking. Bugs in the bed. loads of noise from the street and that was Monday for the price a complete ripoff
Review 29:The look of the room the location
Review 30:small room (but deals have this!)
Review 31:friendly, superb location, clean, good value (got upgrade from the old to the new one), well priced parking (12euro, 100m from hotel)
Review 32:very helpful staff that assisted at all times as my wife had previously fractured her pelvis and had difficulty in negotiating several hazards.. full marks to all.
Review 33:This was a short (end of long mountain hiking trip) stopover and for this ideal...clean comfortable room, big foaming bath (!!), good food places nearby etc. The "Centro" is the budget part of the adjacent 4* Torreluz hotel, set in nice small square. Most of the historic sights within 10 mins walk and about 15 mins to the main "intermodal" bus/train station).
Review 34:- it was really hard to find it (we had to go round twice in order to find it). FYI, is located right close to Nuevo Torreluz 4**** Hotel. The reception for this hotel is done inside the Nuevo Torreluz Hotel. - the furniture looks oldish - too expensive for the given facilities
Review 35:- the twin beds were very big and very comfortable - location is near to the city center and 10 mins walking to the main attractions (Alcazaba, Cathedral etc) - the receptionists were very helpful with anything we needed - private parking (it was free for us since we booked one room with parking included, otherwise is 11.99E/day). The parking is behind Torreluz Centro (on Calle Real - you should see a big white gate), but you have to ask first at the reception for the pass code.
Review 36:Not easy to find if driving...study a map before going!
Review 37:Central,friendly staff, comfortable big room, free wifi good, good continental breakfast and I pre-paid for parking close by.
Review 38:The only downside to our stay was the youngest breakfast waiter with the dark hair & specs. He was really miserable. No greetings at all. Very surly. It all seemed a big effort to him! Really spoilt the breakfast experience. Have stayed before & the waiter then was the complete opposite. Nothing too much trouble. It's the little things that count!
Review 39:Tapas bars & restaurants close by. Regular buses not too far away.
Review 40:The downside to being in the centre was some street noise due to the windows not being the best at insulation.
Review 41:excellent value for money we stayed in rooms 212, 213 both rooms and the bathrooms were very large and clean. large flat screen tv and wifi, aircon pleasant staff and use of the private garage was very handy. perfect hotel for a short break in the city. use the nearby cafes for breakfast
Review 42:Restaurant in ground floor only catering for pre Christmas parties, forced to go elsewhere. Streets littered with dog poo!!!
Review 43:Nothing really in hotel, Spanish people were wonderful as usual.
Review 44:Bedding was blankets, not duvets - but that's Spain!
Review 45:parking was very good, just around the corner - 8 euros per night. Breakfast buffet, though only cold ham, cheese, fruit was good value at 6 euros. Hot options available in the small restaurant attached
Review 46:The parking is in another building. It is necessary a short walk (with luggage) up to the lobby.
Review 47:It's comfortable and quiet; The staff was helpful;
Review 48:This hotel is in an excellent location near the historic centre of the city. It is easy to visit places of interest and is quite near the bus and train station to travel elsewhere.the The staff were very courteous and efficient and enhanced my experienced of the city.
Review 49:The bed was not a double but two twins. Reasonable amount of traffic/pedestrian noise in the morning. However, both of these facts were known at the time of booking, so can't really complain!
Review 50:First class spot, 5 minutes' walk to the cathedral. Excellent value for money. Room was a good size with very comfortable (twin) beds.
Review 51:The bedroom and bathroom were clean and well maintained. Air conditioning was quiet and effective. There was a safe for personal belongings. The buffet breakfast provided a good selection.
Review 52:The Hotel parking location was both difficult to find and access initially.
Review 53:The hotel was located in the centre of the Old Town, ideal for visiting the Alcazaba etc
Review 54:the fact that most of the staff were stand-offish. The view from the room ( a large grey concrete wall) however someone's got to be at the back and it was quiet. The constant stream of beggers and frequency of entertainers ( for want of a better word) who continually harrass you for money.
Review 55:The cleanliness, value for money, no noise, excellent food, comfortable beds, lashings of hot water, room was very nicely decorated including the bathroom, great air conditioning, lift to all floors.
Review 56:- Noise from moving furniture upstairs (above us was no hotel anymore). - far from beach
Review 57:- Location, 1 minute walk from largest shopping street, 5 minute walk to alcazaba, 0 minute walk to restaurants etc. - Very complete room and very large. - friendly staff, even an English speaking guy, which is an exception in Spain! - clean room - parking space nearby for 12 euro a day - do the tapas tour, you can order a free tapa with your drink almost everywhere in Almería.
Review 58:When we first arrived our room was not ready even though it was checkin time. We waited over an hour, and there wasn't really an apology...although they did provide us with a free drink at the bar when the hour had passed. Overall staff friendliness at the front desk could definitely use improvement
Review 59:This place was ridiculously cheap, especially because we added a third person to our travels. However the cot that they added was very comfy as well, unlike some places.
Review 60:The room needed a mini fridge and possible tea coffee making facilities although it did have room service
Review 61:Location close to bars and cafes. Plus walking distance to bus station and all attractions also had free safe
Review 62:better organization with the parking maybe, hard time finding the parking, they don't accept reservation and no info where is the parking, which you cant find if you don't go in and ask. That is extra hard because is on one way street where you cant stop and leave the car to go out.
Review 63:Location was great. Parking provided and close. Friendly staff, map and info provided.
Review 64:Smelly room at first but was able to change rooms to slightly less smelly room. Bathroom bit shabby. When compared to our Granada hotel - this room was not so good for the price.
Review 65:Location. Excellent buffet breakfast - can order fresh orange juice, eggs, bacon ... excellent value for 6 Euros
Review 66:There was noise from the street until 2 am, when they closed hotel's bar, so it was a little bit hard to sleep before that.
Review 67:Good location near many restaurants and the main shopping street (but far away from the beach).
Review 68:Staff very helpful. Took us to the hotel car park and ensured our car was safely parked. We had a room upgrade in the new hotel at no extra charge. Had a very nice dinner in the hotel's outside dining area. All in all excellent value.
Review 69:elevator was a bit too too small
Review 70:smack down the center......awesome location and parking right there
Review 71:The location for restaurants etc was excellent. Close to many of the places of interest to visitors, such as the Alcazaba.

Review 74:Poor sound proofing between rooms, breakfast selection poor and hot food was cold

Review 78:The location is good

Review 114:Staff does not check requests from customers in advance, even not if customers request for a reply.
