Reviews for Nuevo Torreluz

Review 1:Hotel well sign posted. Easy access to all facilities. Almeria is a nice, cultural old fashioned town but with all modern aminities. Tapas bars plentiful and staff very friendly even though they were extremely busy on the night of the 3 kings - well worth seeing.

Review 2:We went half board, but was told there was no evening meal in the Hotel, but it could be taken in a separate restaurant in the Plaza with only 2choices for each course.

Review 3:The Location

Review 4:The Reception staff were quite helpful but had to wait a while to be acknowledged on arrival. The hotel lacked any real atmosphere. Would only rate it as a stopover for the night. Also the wifi did not reach our room so pretty inconvenient.

Review 5:The hotel was fairly central.

Review 6:Great place, good positioning and the wifi is really good. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a place close to the center, wery good value for money.

Review 7:Location comes with street noise, more noise if you are on the 1st floor and worse in rooms 121 and 122 where the ac from the shop below switches on and off during working hours (until 9pm). Expect noise at night if the hotel is holding a wedding reception (saturday night). The manager was very accommodating and offered to change our rooms for the second night. In the middle of the old town you cant expect a veiw .

Review 8:Excellent location, plenty of tapas bars, restaurants and cafes .

Review 9:Do not take rooms on the 5th floor there is a laudry which is very noisy. We had to change the room.

Review 10:Very nice hotel a bit old. Nice and friendly staff.

Review 11:The room The furniture Bathroom better than room Not a four stars hitel in my opinion

Review 12:Location The price- Good value for money the pruce foubd in booking

Review 13:Breakfast was horrible!! Was worth 1 euro. We had a room that was like a hole. We had two windows ! And still we got a view to a wall and a next room. Room was very small.

Review 14:Staff was helpfull.

Review 15:Parking is offsite. Staff were not exactly welcoming and didn't help two weary travellers trying to unload it from two motorcycles. very average in all respects. Room looked directly into occupied office.

Review 16:Location was ok in the old town. Bar staff were helpful when skiing for somewhere decent to eat.

Review 17:Very comfortable room with good sized bathroom and at a reasonable price. Well situated as it's within easy walking distance of the town and around 20 minutes from beach

Review 18:Advised by reception the bar would be open for hot food but the kitchen was closed, it was only 7pm so had to find somewhere else, on our return at 10pm the kitchen was open

Review 19:quirkiness of the roads in the city but without a sat nav I don't think I would have found the hotel

Review 20:the free WIFI was awful to get an ok signal you had to sit in reception

Review 21:central location was great te staff were extremly helpful above and beyond , the hotel was clean and had everything we needed

Review 22:Central location, big room, new, everything in the room was perfect

Review 23:no balcony, no inside swimming pool or gym (we knew that just for 4 star hotel would be great)

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:Staff very friendly and helpful. Room small but well appointed. Location great within easy access of the alcazar, Cathedral and great tapas restaurants. Very reasonably priced with parking clos to the hote. Good for an overnight stay

Review 26:This was a very nice hotel all round. We were very satisfied. The room was actually bigger than it looked in the photo! This hotel would be good for business people as well as those on holiday.

Review 27:No complains

Review 28:The building has been refurbished and it´s comfortable, the room was really wide and it was very clean. The best is the location, in the centre of the city, in a marvelous tapas area and next to the commercial area. The staff very nice.

Review 29:bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Not enough staff at suppertime, so it took too long to be served, we eventually left with only half the dinner eaten, the rest never came.

Review 30:friendly staff, clean place, nice enough rooms, superb location

Review 31:No tea /coffee facilities in room-this is so Spanish and mostannoying Only one English speaking channel and that was news.

Review 32:Central location clean n comfy good price free wifi in room opposite ourfavourite tapas bar -the Meditteraneo.

Review 33:Parking is by agreement with public parking garage a 100m away. Logistically complicated if travelling with much luggage. There is a two vehicle waiting bay in front of hotel for swift loading or unloading. Our room had window onto a small closed internal patio, very claustrophobic.

Review 34:Located in the old town, so excellent for visit to cafe / bar / nightlife and monuments.

Review 35:Our room .a suite overlooked the windows of the building next door, and was in an alley way, so was very noisy at night.also you could hear the showers and toilets of other rooms as if they was in yours.

Review 36:The comfy beds

Review 37:very nice hotel with good facilities and free parking around the corner. Bit hard to find because of the many one-way streets. Located in the center of Almeria

Review 38:Bed with bedding so tightly made up that it was uncomfortable. Fridge that didn't work. Due to its location being in the heart of the city and for a stranger, there was difficulty finding the hotel. Parking the car is elsewhere.

Review 39:Friendly staff, wifi, location, cleanliness.

Review 40:Tv only one english language news channel. Hotel nr Murcia (La Zenia)had bbc and itv, Breakfast basic and one had to know to ask forscrambled eggs. No kettle or mugs in room is typically spanish ,but notgood enough in this day and age.(guests could even provide their own teabags etc.)

Review 41:;Location comfy bed n pillows, fridge.bath . good service andfriendly staff.

Review 42:An easy ride from the train station or airport, and centrally located for exploring Almeria on foot. I went with a friend who was flying out the next day, and we had a wonderful time.

Review 43:Noise within the hotel was loud Hotel male staff entered the room unannounced whilst swf in bed alone and the do not disturbed sign on the door

Review 44:Great location close to all things including bus and train station Right in the heart of the historic centre and next to all the modern stuff too Room maids were very good and freindiy I

Review 45:Location: Very good location near the restaurants area and the main street. Rooms: The room was very comfortable. It had no iron and no coffee machine. The first was not that important because I don't think it is a business destination. But some hotels provide a coffee machine in the room, that would have been really good. Bathroom: Very nice bathroom. Service: The people working there was very friendly with us. Value: Very good value for the hotel. Cleanliness: It is a pleasure to be in a really clean place. Sleep Quality: Very good Parking: Great parking. One block away but very secure.

Review 46:I originally made the booking and found that our friends could not make it, but it was not possible to cancel the booking I didn't think that cancellation would be a problem as I always book with Booking.com but I didn't notice the small print what made it worse was that it was nearly a full year before the booking date. THOROUGHLY BAD PRACTICE

Review 47:Having to outside for restaurants and no bar in hotel, obviously only for sleeping in.

Review 48:Close to centre, staff responsive and pleasant, when we asked for anything

Review 49:The junior suite was very spacious which accommodated the three of us in 2 separate rooms. The hotel, rooms and bathroom are impeccably clean. The reception and concierge are helpful and friendly. The parking is very easy to use and very close - absolutely no problem! What impressed us is the kitchen - very good (gourmet!) of both the terrace and their Mediterranean restaurant.

Review 50:the route to the hotel car park was a bit round-about, lots of one way streets. The sign-posting to the hotel could be a little bit better for first time visitors.

Review 51:Excellent location for all the sights and shopping,

Review 52:The breakfast in the adjoining hotel was totally unsatisfactory. The variety of foods, quality was the poorest we have encountered through Spain so far..a trip of over four months. For the price simply not good enough. The dining room area was small, non air conditioned and very uncomfortable. Many of the guests during our stay had similar comments. We would not include breakfast next time should we stay.

Review 53:The location in the centre of the town was fabulous. The room was modern and although small was most satisfactory.

Review 54:5th floor (best rooms) is now smoking - and smoking still takes place in supposedly non-smoking floors. Difficult to find a low-noise room. Double beds are in the minority.

Review 55:Wi-fi excellent. Friendly staff. Central location (but noisy)

Review 56:Stay clear of the hotel's cafe, the staff is awful and everything is very overpriced. The restaurant is fine, though

Review 57:A great hotel with very friendly staff and top installations for a low price

Review 58:longer way to the beach about 20 minutes, for the 4 star hotel poor breakfast

Review 59:clean room and bathroom, near to the city . Parking in the near garage is possible

Review 60:Having to go outside the hotel to other locations for meals including breakfast. Car parking was included in our deal by was difficult to access.

Review 61:Good clean hotel with friendly staff.

Review 62:We made the mistake of visiting on a Monday when a lot of the places of interest were closed.

Review 63:1st class hotel well situated to visit the most interesting parts of Almeria. Complimentary drink (included tapas). We got a good rate which included breakfast and car parking...I wouldn't recommend trying to park in the old town as it has very narrow streets and parking was at a premium.

Review 64:the facilities are an issue for me as some parts of the hotel are dissiminated across various streets like for example the car park is in another street and the worst from my point was the breakfast as they asked us to go to the Torreluz 2 stars to have it and there was only a tiny bad quality food buffet...... Basically they have 3 or 4 hotels in town and you need to go a different one for your room, breakfast, car park, etc... better to book the 2 stars at a lower price then

Review 65:location was good not far from center of bars and also Alcazaba

Review 66:The cost of parking was too high. The front of desk staff were aloof. The breakfast was served at another location outwith the hotel. Breakfast was very basic Continental. Room overlooked busy ally full of shops etc.

Review 67:The location was central and well sign-posted for car drivers. Many restaurants within easy walking distance. Private parking was safe but away from the hotel on top 3 floors of a multi-story carpark.

Review 68:The waitress outside for breakfast was very unhelpful and unhappy, seemed to have an attitude problem to non Spainish people.

Review 69:Clean, nice room, good bathroom comfortable beds, helpful reception. Parking was a big bonus

Review 70:Great location in the heart of the old town with parking. Big comfortable beds. Good value eat as much as you like buffet breakfast. Taberna with good tapas. Highly recommended.

Review 71:Bit noisy in the room, noise from hall & adjoining neighbors was noticeable. Also, when one's tub water was running, as well as when a neighbor's was, there was a loud gurgling noise that accompanied but was separate from, the running water for the first 5-10 minutes which resonated in the sleeping chamber.

Review 72:Very clean and comfortable with excellent reception & restaurant/breakfast staff. Parking was convenient. Area was great as was the price.

Review 73:1) There is a very strong smell of smoking in the corridor and the room 2) staff did not care at all, i arrived very late 4am and the guy in the reception was very angry to start with, then had to send me to a parking about 500 meters from the hotel, then i asked if i could do like a 30min or 1 hour late check out (by this time it was almost 5am) but his answer was a big No. 3) the room we were staying has a window facing the street and in the morning there was so much noise

Review 74:The room was good sized, the bathroom was very clean as well

Review 75:Wifi was poor in my room but ok in lounge area. Shower drained too slowly causing it to overflow if left running too long.

Review 76:The quality of the room was good being of a decent size well decorated and furnished with a nice bathroom. Standard of cleanliness was high. Breakfast was enjoyable with good selection and ample quantities. Helpful and efficient reception catering staff.

Review 77:I wouldn't say its what we didn't like, but the restaurant for breakfast was in another building so you had to leave via the hotel entrance. Only a short walk but nevertheless, if its pouring with rain...... breakfast wasn't the best we've ever had in Spain, only one toaster for everyone to use and it wasn't the revolving type. Not a huge choice and it wasn't obvious that you could ask for anything cooked. (Everything laid out was cold). No loo brush in the bathroom. Parking was secure but they change the code daily and don't inform you! And its a trek as there is no way of getting to the garage from within the hotel, again you have to go outside to find the garage located behind the hotel. The location of the hotel isn't great and there were a lot of buildings up for sale/rent or just disintergrating.

Review 78:We had never been to Almeria before so were looking forward to it very much. However, it is more of a port and couldn't be described as cosmopolitan! The hotel itself is located about a 10 min walk from the port through narrow streets and when you find it, its a great surprise. Very modern, clean and welcoming. We booked the junior suite and were very impressed, 2 flat screen t.vs, working air con in both rooms, a stocked mini bar at reasonable prices, although we asked for a double bed, it was 2 very large and very comfortable beds pushed together. His and hers wash hand basins in the bathroom and although when we arrived there had only been one bath towel placed in the bathroom (nothing else) it was quickly rectified. Would we stay here again? Probably if it could be picked up and moved to a better location!!!

Review 79:External night-time noise can be tiresome. Breakfast a little disorganised; too sugary

Review 80:Helpful staff Clean Wifi Central location Good mattresses/pillows

Review 81:Breakfast facilities basic, but fine all the same. At least the coffee machines had freshly ground coffee, instead of mixed muck!!

Review 82:Great location within a short walking distance of the city centre, bars restaurants. Staff very courteous. Reasonable parking charges for the city centre. Excellent rooms - very clean room & comfortable beds. No noise.

Review 83:Having to leave

Review 84:Perfect city centre location, Buffet breakfast more than adequate, inc bacon and eggs, room large, clean and quiet, hotel car park just around the corner, would definitely recommend

Review 85:Just to be picky.breakfast was a bit crowded at the end of the morning and we had to wait a bit to get a table.however the staff was quick and breakfast was great and abundant.

Review 86:Everything

Review 87:Breakfasts were somewhat disorganised. If you want to sleep with windows open / aircon off, it can be noisy late at night.

Review 88:Friendly staff. Good location. Clean/comfortable. Car park.

Review 89:nothing

Review 90:This hotel was fantastic.Located in the city centre of Almeria it has everything you want for a short stay.We stayed 3 nights and loved the Hotel. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are all air conditioned and the double bed was the most comfortable we had during our tour of Andalucia. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and we were even offered a full cooked breakfast at no extra cost. The staff were extremely helpful and polite.Parking next to the hotel. This should be the benchmark of standard for all hotels.Absolutely fantastic.
