Reviews for Hotel V...

Review 1:3 light bulbs not working. No hot water. Took a long while to heat up and I when it did it was Luke warm! There were only 2 rooms occupied don't know what it would be like when it is full. No staff in the hotel after 8 pm. Roof terrace closed. Weather was beautiful we wanted to sit out no cushions and Jacuzzi Covered. We were not informed of this at the time of booking

Review 2:Walking up a very steep hill with suitcase and the terrace chill out area was closed which was a shame as the views where amazing to sit and enjoy a drink.

Review 3:The Room was large and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was served on individual trays and was very nice.

Review 4:Some of the best views I've ever experienced from a hotel roof terrace. All mod cons but with taste and imagination. It's a VERY romantic place so you should share it with someone special.

Review 5:Room with twin not double bed (despite what we had booked), no bedside table on one side, street light unable to be blacked out at night. Staff unhelpful and/or unwilling to make it more comfortable. Told we had booked classic room and this was it. Breakfast basic, but adequate.

Review 6:Fabulous location, boutique hotel, roof top wonderful views and capacity for relaxation on day beds with tiny pool, Moorish atmosphere.

Review 7:It was a shame that the plunge pool/Jacuzzi wasn't functioning, we had assumed it would be as the weather had been good in the region for a while.

Review 8:The staff were very calm and accommodating. Free chilled water was a lovely touch, as was putting chilled water in our rooms at bedtime :-) The hotel is beautifully decorated and the roof terrace was fabulous - along with the honesty bar which was well stocked (and well used by us :-)

Review 9:The honesty bar in the lobby and on the rooftop was not well kept, nobody looked after the used glasses and provided new beverages. In addition - and really annoying - was the fact that even without personnel involved prices for beverages were 2-3 times as much as in the local taverns and bars.

Review 10:The view from the rooftop was breathtaking and warrants alone the stay in this hotel. Almost everything was perfect. If you choose a room with a view (which was not available for us) it would have been even better.

Review 11:Jacuzzi and water feature on the sun terrace weren't functioning which was disappointing. Breakfast was very limited.

Review 12:We loved that we weren't bothered constantly by the staff. We had the sun terrace all to ourselves which was awesome.

Review 13:Facilities promised on website did not exist. No DVD player in the room and when we asked for one you would have thought we were asking for the moon. Minibar with local wines and waters from around the world did not exist. It was an empty cooler that was broken and smelly. We asked for the bathrobes (slippers non existent) but when they came they would not even fit our eleven year old son. Breakfast in bed, as advertised, only happened if you got up, got dressed and carried it up yourself. It left a lot to be desired. Cold coffee, toast like a brick and a small plate of ham between two. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the views due to fog all weekend. Not their fault obviously. The rooftop terrace was closed and the hot tub removed yet we were not advised of this when booking. Oddest thing ever was the one staff member left at 8pm. We were only people in the hotel and can say we did not feel safe. We discovered that lots of locals know the security entry code. Not reassuring at all. No safe in the room. Very over priced and we will not be returning. Village beautiful but hotel left us feeling disappointed and ripped off.

Review 14:The hotel is beautifully furnished

Review 15:Very confortable hotel with wonderful view, high quality service and hospitality. I can recomend the hotel when you stay this beautiful town. Ideal for loving couple.

Review 16:There was some noise from the jacuzzi on the terrace above our room, but this was quickly resolved.

Review 17:Hotel V is very stylish and in a perfect location to explore the old town. Our room was simply, but elegantly furnished and the bed was generously proportioned and very comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully presented and we were able to enjoy it in the little courtyard garden. Manuela made us feel extremely welcome and really enjoyed our stay.

Review 18:There is nothing you could dislike about this place.

Review 19:We stayed at the Hotel V in early July 2014. We were welcomed by Manuela who made us feel immediately at home and looked after us very well during our stay. All the staff are very warm, wecloming and attentive and the breakfast was a delight. The hotel is full of character and atmosphere and the view from the roof terrace is incredible. Highly recommended.

Review 20:maybe just the option to have also an "healthy" breakfast, more fruits and good muesli.

Review 21:elegant and charming

Review 22:Breakfast not included. Staff is very helpful and polite but not always present

Review 23:Stunning decor, great location, rooftop

Review 24:The Exclusive room has amazing views Right in the old town, very picturesque

Review 25:Breakfast could be improved. Wi-fi was a challenge. No intercom on the phone. No parking anywhere near hotel , but a quick taxi ride from the Village parking. All arranged with hotel .

Review 26:Its in the centre of a white painted historic village. Been renovated to a high standard. The views from the roof are sensational. Rooms are well decorated with good modern fittings. Very helpful staff. Breakfast served anywhere in the building until 12am which is excellent.

Review 27:However I was very disappointed when we arrived just after 2pm in the afternoon the lights were not on in the reception area, the bar in the roof terrace was closed and there were no cushions on the beds on the roof terrace the plunge pool was covered therefore not able to use. There was no coffee/tea facilities in the bedroom and no bath as shown in the website pictures we booked the standard room for the cost at 153.00 euro for one night however was very disappointed with the facilities at the Hotel for New Years Eve.

Review 28:I booked this Hotel due to the pictures seen on the website for New Year's Eve which looked really beautiful for a surprise for my Husband.

Review 29:- The Staff was just amazing the helped organizing flowers and cake for the birthday of my girlfriend. They were super friendly and helpful with every request - The Breakfast was super tasty. - The rooftop is amazing, perfect view and the perfect spot for the breakfast - in total I would say, it can't get better

Review 30:The artificial lawn inside the Patio does not fit to the style of the rest of the hotel. Stone tiles would be better. Honesty Bar unfortunately ran out of red wine :-) We were almost the only guests but otherwise there would not have been enough breakfast tables to accommdate more guests.

Review 31:the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and discreet, the atmosphere in the hotel was peaceful, calm, relaxing, cosy, like you would imagine a home to be. The honesty Bar-principle is a trustful gesture. Breakfast was very good, the way the breakfast was served very esthetic with nicely designed plates, Little dishes and bowls. The bed in our room, pillows were super, i slept like a corpse.... The bathroom was new and kept super clean by the cleaning staff. The code-controlled hotel entry is super.

Review 32:Some staff don't understand one word of English (they have access -by phone- to colleagues who do speak English). Parking is a problem. Despite its luxury the price is rather high.

Review 33:Beautiful hotel, beautiful setting. Everything is looked after, perfect place at a perfect spot. Great views from the room.

Review 34:Bath in the middle of the room Very difficult to find when arriving bycar & there should have been some correspondence on booking as towhere to park & a map of how to find the accommodation.

Review 35:Location, atmosphere, presentation of the hotel & helpfulfriendly staff.

Review 36:we went during off-season so there were a few teething issues. But staff were very helpful and made the stay relaxing.

Review 37:Friendly staff, centrally located, unique, rooms each have individual character, attention to detail. No restaurant but plenty of places to eat close by and whilst you can't drive to the door, plenty of free parking in Vejer. Lovely little town and a very relaxing place

Review 38:Really small things - I hated the sinks in the bathrooms; for a man who shaves the sinks are impossible to clean easily (squared off; not bowls) and the bed headboards I thought were a bit unimaginative. I would also make it clear in any communication that guests have to park in the public parking below town and make sure they email the hotel with regard to booking a taxi to take them up to the hotel (and that there is a 50m walk to the door). No one will mind if they know what to expect in advance - otherwise they will complain.

Review 39:The staff were absolutely fantastic; charming, helpful and responsive. We booked out of season, so when our first room was not quite right, Manuela immediately moved us to a quieter room that was perfect for our stay. It's very calm, the public areas are extremely tasteful and relaxing, breakfast was delicious and it's very central from the excellent restaurants in the old town. The larger bedrooms are fantastic, all the beds are wonderfully comfortable, linens, towels and toiletries excellent and abundant. The subtle furniture was both decorative and very handsome within the design of the room.

Review 40:Took a bit long to check out!

Review 41:Loved the room which was modern and comfortable. The view from the top terrace is 5 star. Nice little jacuzzi and sun beds. Great breakfast. Ate in the Jardin de Caliph down the hill. Can recommend it.

Review 42:Superior room number 6 had no balcony or terrace as listed. Room mini bar was turned off when we arrived so everything in it was warm. However it only contained fanta, tonic and beer , No water or wine/ champagne. As a luxury excape we found this disappointing . Honesty bar had no mixers for the spirits or any wine. There was a nespresso machine but no decaf coffe offered, also no milk. However when the kitchen opened at 8 am it was possible to collect coffee from The staff and this was not added to our bill.

Review 43:Wonderful location with views. Very comfortable beds with quality bed linen and pillows. Great shower in bathroom. Excellent breakfast . Guest lounge was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The main outdoor terrace was closed as the weather in April was very wet, but it looked amazing with fantastic views .

Review 44:We stayed at Hotel v in order to be able to travel to the showjumpingshow at Sotto nearby. What a fantastic choice it turned out to be. Avery smart, chic and comfortable hotel with every effort made to helpus enjoy our stay. It was more like staying in someones very smarthouse. Many nice places to see and loads of nice resaurants nearby. 45mins from Cadiz. The whole area steeped in history. We would recommendHotel V. 100%

Review 45:Extremely relaxed and familiar ambiance in just the perfect soroundings!

Review 46:comfortable room in a historical house, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast

Review 47:Nothing

Review 48:Everything about the hotel was excellent. The rooms were luxurious and spacious. The lounge was inviting and the honesty bar is a great idea

Review 49:Beautiful individually decorated rooms. Quirky bathrooms. Tasty & nicely presented breakfast. Kind & friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Review 50:Lacking in facilities, poor wifi and expensive for out of season

Review 51:Room was lovely and staff friendly
