Hotel Mercè is a family-run hotel in the centre of Pineda de Mar, 10 minutes' walk from the beach. It features a rooftop pool and sun terrace with panoramic views.

Review 7：booked a triple room and this was clearly a double room - the wardrobe doors didn't open and not much more space to move around; got diarrhoea for a week; on arrival the balcony door was broken, and the safe costs extra; prices at the bar too high for non-alcoholic drinks (smoothie for the kids cost a fortune) and on a few occasions I was given the wrong change or charged too much money; kids using the pool got a strangely peeling dry skin

Review 9：I was extremely disappointed with certain members of staff at the hotel (the night porter and one of the deputy managers). The night porter was extremely rude and aggressive to me when I arrived past midnight alone with my 2 children. He was extremely unhelpful and hostile to me and this ruined the start to our holiday. Totally unacceptable treatment as a paying customer. Do not expect even mediocre customer service at this hotel. Very poor.

Review 10：The rooftop pool and pool bar is lovely and the children really enjoyed this aspect of the hotel. I can highly recommend the food and this was also a highlight of the stay. Some of the bar staff are great and go out of their way to be helpful and to help entertain the children.

Review 14：Really great food! Every time different dishes, don't repeat from day to day. Main courses are cooked right in the dinning room! Fish, meat, stewed vegetables, pasta, pizza, potatoes, salad bar, ice-cream, desserts, fruits - every day for lunch and dinner. Sometimes - mussels, hamburgers (you can make your own). Nice view from the balcony to the church, that doesn't bother - because stays silent from 0:00 till 8:00. Only 800 meters to walk to the sea by shopping street or quiet tree alley that is good after such a substantial meal. Fantastic view from a terrace with a swimming pool, that is located on the roof of the hotel. Everyday evening animation in the hotel. Friendly staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. Air condition in room and public areas.

Review 15：It was our 5th time in Merce and we liked everything! Each year the place becomes more and more comfortable. Really good breakfasts. Small but clean and cozy rooms. Very friendly staff speaking different languages. Ideal spot for the Psychobilly Festival guests - it's only a 15-minute walk to the main venue.

Review 18：Well I was in room for single person, but that was not a problem. The problem was that the room faced the noisy part looking to the main traffic street. And because there weren't an air conditioning I was forced to sleep with opened windows hearing passing cars up until very late at night. Also the floor of the room were not clean there were a lot of dust. The bathroom was very hot so I decided to bring my cat to sleep in my room. Something that I don't do normally as he is noisy and active during the night.

Review 19：The staff was very friendly. They allow all kinds of animals (big dogs too) in this hotel and this should be accounted as a big plus. Oh my, the breakfast was excellent considering the stars of the hotel and the price of the room!!!

Review 20：Firstly we were accommodated in a very small and dark room. However there was no problem with changing it. The meals were mostly the same. And I need to mention that coffee during the breakfast was the most terrible thing I have ever drunk. The advertised wi - fi is more expensive than it is written on Booking.com page. Renting a bike isn't so free. Only the first 30 minutes is for free.

Review 28：I found this hotel to be excellent value for the price. Hotel was very clean, housekeeping everyday with clean towels every day. We chose half board, meals were buffet style with lots of choice and variation over the 8 nights we stayed there also a chef out front cooking the meats, eggs etc so were not lying under heat lights. Drinks from the bar were very reasonable priced. The location was great, 2 min walk from main road for buses and around 10 min walk from train station and beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel on great value for money and location and would definitely stay again.

Review 29：Uncorfatble beds, old looking rooms, gotta wear shoes in your room(floors looked scary), old tv. This Hotel is a 1 Star or maybe 2 Star.... but the charm, price, location, friendly staff, will make youoverlook the issues.

Review 30：This place will take you back to 1985 .... mmm, where do I start?Disco in the basement, Magic Show in the evening, Belly Dancers, oldlookind rooms, small tv, etc. This place reminded me of the 80's... but it was a very pleasent experience. We got the best value forour money: free breakfast buffet, free dinner buffet, free beachactivities tickets, swimming pool, lots of fun, etc. We stayed only 3days and it was the least expensive Hotel in Spain after a lot ofshopping around and 4 Hotels that we used. We went there 2 couples andenjoyed every minute.

Review 31：Noisy road and 'show program' in a bar till midnight make it impossible to sleep with open windows. We asked for a double bed but got a room with three single beds that occupied 90% of the room space. People smoke in rooms, so smell gets to the bathroom by ventilation.

Review 42：We have stayed at the Merce Hotel twice now. We returned mostly because the food is outstanding for the price you pay, the hotel is in a quiet location and the rooms basic, but clean. We also love Pineda de Mar as it is nicely touristy without being full of loud party-goers.

Review 77：The light in our room made a constant flicking noise when switched off. Raised it with reception but it was not fixed during our 4 day stay and no apology. It was v irritating. My sisters room also had a faulty hairdryer plug - the whole thing came off the wall which seemed dangerous. Hotel was also very noisy. I also emailed twice the week before to ask for directions from the train station but got no response.

Review 85：- I had ordered and double checked with hotel through Booking.com for the twin room but as I entered I had been reserved a double room. So the day after I had to pack everything, be at reception and put all our stuff in Luggage room and wait around for the first available room. Liturally the first half day wasted in waiting despite of all emphasis and getting the confirmation! - The day after we were given a three beds room with no room to move around without even needing that extra bed. The room looked like a room in a very cheap hostel, with terrible looking flooring as well as torn curtains and very dull look! - On the first night on that double-bed room, the aircon was making a hurrible noise every 2 mins, I really could not sleep at all! - On the first night in that triple room, it took me a while untile I realized that the discussting smell in the room and around my bed was for the pillow on the other bed which made me sick all night! - wifi works very slowly and for max 24 hours and at so many times it stops working before then which means you have to go down to reception and get a new printed password, that was a pain! - using safe is not part of the room there is a charge per day- about £4- per day as well as deposite. - If you are staying in this hotel make sure you are ok with bell of the church- right opposite this hotel- which goes off about every 5/10 minutes. Generally very unsatisfied
