Reviews for Hotel Costasol
Review 1:my understanding, the parking was included in the price. yet I was charged 11 euros for each night. I told the receptionist, but he said no it is not included
Review 2:central location, close to the restaurants and cafes and bars and historical buildings!!
Review 3:The location is excellent, close to many shops, restaurants and not to far from the bus station, so you can visit other areas of Almeria, internet works great if you are coming for business.
Review 4:The junior suite is fine, BUT the noise from the street below can be troublesome if you are a light sleeper.
Review 5:The bed was excellent - memory foam mattress. Going to buy one for myself now!
Review 6:Breakfast was not good value for money, there is a cafe just up and across from the street which would be the better option. The hotel only offered a croissant or toasted with ham and cheese, fruit juice and hit drink. At €6:50 per person not good value. Also walls and doors to the room not very soundproof I could hear occupant next door snoring loudly during the early hours and other inconsiderate guests speaking loudly and banging doors, guests behaviour is I know outside the hotels control but a shame additional soundproofing could not be added. However I would return to the hotel, with ear plugs as the staff, location and rooms were good.
Review 7:The location was excellent the hotel room was very comfortable.
Review 8:Only negative was a weak shower, very little pressure.
Review 9:No street noise eventhough hotel located on the main street of the city. Spacious clean room, comfortable beds.
Review 10:Car park is at discounted price but is really tight getting in and out of with a big car.
Review 11:The reception staff were really pleasant and helpful. You can book your tickets for Rio Bravo, etc through them.
Review 12:the shower. It was too small for tall people.Could not bend down properly to wash feet. Also after breakfast on Sunday the restaurant was closed for the rest of the day.A bit of a problem as my husband is blind and we had to walk a fair way to find somewhere to eat that day.
Review 13:friendly helpful staff and the restaurant
Review 14:Wifi is slow and unstable. The lock of the room was very old and did not work pretty well, the room it self is small.
Review 15:Shower is small but nice. The reception staff speaks english pretty well.
Review 16:Breafast is in the basement, only juice, coffee and baguettes. In restaurant and room there is heavy smell on desinfectant. Roomhs air conditioning unit directly over the bed.
Review 17:Nice location, close to everything and very friendly staff.
Review 18:Arrived after 8pm as i had said at the time of booking and the payment for the first night had been taken from my card due to late arrival despite previously being told card would not be used. Not happy about this .
Review 19:The location was very good
Review 20:A little small
Review 21:The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but comfortable and clean. Excellent central location. Close to city center, beach, and restaurants. Parking garage close by.
Review 22:nothing.
Review 23:The front desk was so helpful, no one could have been more helpful. We got all the great beach tips for Cabo de Gata from here and maps and it was fantastic.
Review 24:Need a place to park to check in as I got a parking ticket while trying to register. Limited breakfast menu. Attached restaurant where you order continental breakfast.
Review 25:Location was good for walking distance to old town & restaurants. Parking garage is close by. Someone complained you have to go the wrong way on a one way street..and you do but only a few meters; not a problem.
Review 26:I had to cancel the breakfast, when I found out that for 6.50 Euros we would only get milk, coffee, small cup of juice, toast and butter! For 10.50 Euros we bought enough food for 3 days of breakfast for 2 people.
Review 27:The location and the staff
Review 28:Everything was good.
Review 29:Close to the station, the old town and eateries. Everything in the room worked well - shiny bathroom which I liked and could open the bathroom window even with air-con. Room was quiet.
Review 30:Finding the car park... as couldn't go down roads that we were told to by the staff on reception. quite a noisy hotel from other rooms
Review 31:You wouldn't of known you were in the centre of a city as rooms were so quiet from outside street noise.
Review 32:Hotel room was disappointing it was nothing like the photographs that were portrayed on the website. Views from both windows were of a brick wall. Not hotels fault but very noisy occupants!!
Review 33:Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant below hotel offered menu of the day that was tasty and good value.
Review 34:Look elsewhere for breakfast. The hotel sends you to a basement bar/café and all we got was a toasted baguette with juice/coffee. The room was not very clean and when we turned on the A/C black soot blew all over the room and beds. It did this every time we tried to use it.
Review 35:Location
Review 36:Non Smoking room that had an ashtray and cigarette burns on the dressing table. We do not smoke. Our room was so small and looked out on a brick wall. We would not revisit.
Review 37:Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Well located.
Review 38:Wifi was a bit spotty.
Review 39:great location, easy walk from bus station & easy walk to the beach & tourist attractions. room was exceptionally clean & the staff was very friendly.
Review 40:There was a small sign at reception advising of internal room updating work but this was not pointed out.During our siesta there was a lot of noise from this work.
Review 41:The location and good efficient basement breakfast bar.
Review 42:Room was dull - felt like a B&B.
Review 43:Staff were incredible - helpful, friendly and easy to deal with. 5 star rating for staff - high end hotels could learn a lot from effort from staff.
Review 44:Wifi in the street facing rooms is weak , and staff are aware of this and work is in hand to improve this! Nonetheless I did get coverage, just occasional dropouts.
Review 45:The Reception staff are super friendly; the hotel is perfectly situated, rooms are well equipped, beds are very comfortable, and I heard nothing from other rooms and little from the street despite being on the 1st floor and it being Carnaval! And the value for money is excellent.
Review 46:Poor Breakfast Poor WiFi Bland, not memorable Old bathroom fittings Not cheap for a regular 3-star
Review 47:Quiet (with windows closed) Close to all shops/sights Comfortable if not luxurious
Review 48:Nothing
Review 49:The whole package was great.Friendly & polite staff, hotel centrally situated, room clean & comfortable. Would definitely return & recommend.
Review 50:Wifi acceptable for people on a short vacation but may not be fast enough for visitors on business. No onsite parking but parking available in a nearby underground municipal car park with reduced rates for hotel clients.
Review 51:Our second visit in two months. The room on the 5th floor was larger than the room on our previous visit although that one was satisfactory for what we needed. Ideal location for sightseeing and easy walk to restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Wifi acceptable.
Review 52:Unfortunately there was a fiesta on which we were not aware of so didn't get much sleep.
Review 53:We were very satisfied with this hotel and would not hesitate to use it again.
Review 54:we opted for breakfast included inthe price,as we like to eat at the hotel .but we were very disappointed with the service and the food was sparce to say the least.had we known we would have booked another hotel.very poor value for the price we paid for this hotel.
Review 55:good location.very comfortable bedroom.
Review 56:Nothing!
Review 57:The location of the hotel was central to everything we wanted to see in the city and within easy walking distance. The city has so many places of historic interest and so many choices of restaurants and cuisine. We found a superb Andalusian Marroqui restaurant, the Aljaima in the Calle Jovellanos which served up superb food and wine for a very reasonable price.. We would also recommend the La Tagliatella Rte at Federica Garcia Lorca, 2, which was better than excellent. You only need to look at the number of people who queued for a table to realize how good the food actually was. The owner was continually monitoring the tables and the waitress service to make sure that everything was good. Another restaurant worth a mention is the Bagua, also on the Av Federico Garcia Lorca. We all loved the city and will go back.
Review 58:Wifi didn't work very well in the room. We were no lucky because the hotel was fixing part of the building close to our room and the noise made us woke up early.
