There is easy access from the Apart-Hotel Miramar to Barcelona. Badalona Train Station is a short walk away and offers easy access to Plaça Catalunya. There are also several regular buses.
The BCIN Business Center is within walking distance. Badalona is full of shops and restaurants and is known for its Roman ruins.

Review 1：The shower was poor, didn't work well and was much too high for me - 5ft tall. All the fittings - shelf, towel rail and pegs were too high for me to reach. The water in the bathroom took ages to heat and never got really hot, although it worked OK in the kitchen. There is no kettle in the kitchen so we had to boil. Water for tea in a saucepan in the only safe pan suitable. The apartment was adequate for our needs and comfortable but it was all a little bit shabby.

Review 2：The staff were friendly and very helpful. When we mentioned that the sink in our bathroom was blocked someone came to fix it the same day. A microwave and hairdryer were provided on request.

Review 3：Didn't get apartment booked and had trouble with hot water. Moved us to lovely newer apartment and compensated us for problems we'd had. Staff were amazing and really turned our stay into a great one. Would definitely stay there and would recommend if you want somewhere a bit quieter. Only 15 mins on train to Barcelona and we enjoyed shops and restaurants near apartment.

Review 5：The space in the apartment is very small, which seems to be the standard for Barcelona and Badalona. Although the bedsheets and towels were clean, the bed covers, sofa covers and curtains were filthy with dust and spots on them. This created a bad impression when we first entered the appartment. Our dustbins were emptied once in two days, not every day. These hygiene problems should not be there in a hotel that charges more than 100 EUR per night.

Review 6：Great location, near the sea and in the heart of the walking area of the town. Distance to train station: aprox. 10 minutes slow walking and another 15 minutes by train to the center of Barcelona. Parking was at the same premises and quite safe (inside a garage). Lots of shops in the street and the nearby streets, which are open till late, so practically you can buy food or water or whatever you need almost at any time. Drinking coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening in the balcony and watching the sea and the life in the little Prim street were memorable moments. Staff were nice and helpful, speaking English and offering indications. Overall Badalona is a nice place to stay for visiting Barcelona and at times relaxing at the beach, and Miramar aparthotel would be a great choice if solving the problems mentioned as negative aspects.

Review 8：A bit tricky to access from Girona Airport. Cab (going home) cost us 150 Euro!!!! The apartment and all in it was quite worn down. Didn´t like the smell of sewer, but we got used to it.

Review 9：Young people in reception very helpful. Great location by the beach and the vibrant boardwalk. Lots and lots of shops in very picturesque streets just 5 min away. Must go there!!

Review 10：Joel was outstanding in customer service during our stay, but he exceeded our expectations when he went the extra mile to help us retrieve our prescription bifocal sunglasses which we inadvertently left behind in our room. He shipped them to us in the United States and we received them without any problems. We give this hotel our highest rating with no reservations and we would stay there again.

Review 11：our apartment had windows towards street where there were noisy till late night and from the early so managing sufficient sleep was problematic. Pillows were also strange, narrow and hard. Air condition did not work, but it was not needed. so we didn't bather so much about this.

Review 20：The staff were exceptional. The location was great. Badalona is not full of tourists therefore you are experiencing more down to earth holidaying and people.

Review 21：Old aluminium windows and patio doors onto balcony, offer no sound proofing. Lots of noise from local bar outside until the early hours. Smell of sewage from drains in the whole street. Dated décor in the apartment with artex walls.

Review 23：Furnitures were so old. There are noise from climate mashine (compresor outside). On the front side of the street there are Tabac Store, and clients stay to 2,3 o'clock AM and make a lot of noise. The security roulletes were broken. Internet was very very poor. I have looked for a place with wifi but Miramar's was worst of all.

Review 25：The hotel was near the long promenade near the water. It was a 15 min. walk to the train station, but the promenade made it seem less. The trains to Barcelona ran about every 10 minutes.

Review 27：The apart hotel suite was very clean spacious well set out and modern in design. Its location is excellent and situated near popular places to eat and drink. The receptionist was friendly, accommodating and very helpful.

Review 28：Booked a one-bedroom apartment, and were 'upgraded' to a 2 bedroom apartment. Extra BR was of no use to us though, and apartment fitout was quite old, and nothing like the photos on booking.com. The kitchen especially was old, pokey, and hot to use. Staff obligingly allowed us to change after the first night, into a one-BR apartment that was exactly the same as in the photos. However, the inbuilt aircon didn't work, the replacement freestanding aircon unit was way too noisy to run during the night and didn't cool the bedroom, the bedroom ceiling fan didn't work, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain properly, one of the window shutters (to keep noise and daytime heat out) didn't work, and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. We ended up feeling sorry we'd changed rooms - at least everything worked in the first one.

Review 29：Location convenient to Barcelona - just a 15 minute train trip. Train station a 10 minute walk away, along the beachfront. Beach only a couple of hundred metres from the hotel - great for a morning swim.

Review 30：The only negative is that that the wifi was inaccessible from my room with all my devices. I had to walk into the hallway towards the stairs to pick up signal. However, I was on vacation and not on my computer/phone very much so this was a small negative.

Review 31：The staff there is fantastic, both the front desk and the housekeeping. All of them are very nice and accommodating. Front desk always helped me find where I was trying to go and the housekeeping were always ready to help me with clean towels and help me get the sand out of the room from the beach the entire week. The apartments are a great size and come with everything needed for a longer stay such as dishes, glasses, silverware, etc... The balconies facing the street have an excellent view but smaller. The balconies on the other side are larger with just as good city views.

Review 34：Although it was free, wi-fi was not strong enough. The rooms overlooking Prim street are quite noisy (there is a restaurant and moped parking just under the balconies), insufficient air-con. The balcony window in our room didn't lock, which I reported to the reception, but no response.

It meant Ileft the hotel in the morning (7:30-8 A.m) and came back aroundmidnight I didn't know the staff hours were very limited, and onall but one day during my stay, I saw no one in the reception area, andthere was no one to complain to. This was a problem because Icouldn't get vital Wi-Fi access on most days. Also, the heating wasvery poor and the water ran alternately hot and cold--that is not goodwhen one has the faucet turned only to hot. It was also difficult toget to the fair in Barcelona on public transport. And there were fewplaces to eat or buy groceries from in Badalona after 9-10 P.M. In all,it was a miserable stay.

Review 81：Mostly small inconveniences (I am being very picky here). There was nokettle in the apartment so we had to boil water in a saucepan to maketea, so for Brits this is a little inconvenient. Having some washing-upliquid and sponge to clean the dishes would be helpful also, maybeproviding some sachets of salt, pepper, sugar and some cooking oil.Although these things are not costly purchases, they are standard itemsthat, for a short term stay, can be an annoyance to buy. It would havebeen more comfortable to have had an extra fleece blanket available forcolder nights (we didn't ask, so extra bedding may be available).The mattress was a bit on the hard side but not the worst I've slepton. Another mirror, perhaps in the bedroom, would be good as, althoughthere was a great big mirror in the bathroom, sometimes it's handyto have another elsewhere. Noise can be heard from outside and, maybe insummertime, it could be more of a problem but it's the sound of lifeand people having fun - just take earplugs. You can't guarantee whostays in the adjacent rooms, as one evening there was noise from youngmen ending their stay, but we were lucky that it was quiet for the restof our holiday. Overall, it was a very comfortable place to stay and, bypointing these small things out, I want it to be the best. We willdefinitely return!

Review 82：Absolutely loved staying here. Having stayed in Badalona before, we knewthat the location was perfect for the beach, shopping for food andclothes, bars and restaurants and for transport into Barcelona. We hadstayed at a hostel previously and wanted more privacy and freedom tomake our own meals, at a time that suited us. For this, Apart-HotelMiramar was perfect. There are plenty of fresh food shops, convenienceshops and small supermarkets, and the fresh food markets are close by.In the kitchenette, there was a sink, four-ring hob, extractor fan,pots, pans, kitchen knives, chopping board, cutlery, crockery, glasses,coffee percolator - perfectly ample for our needs. There was a tv anddvd player. The apartment was clean and, when required, was maintainedwell (including washing the dirty dishes). As it was winter (ha-ha -15to 20 degrees in the afternoon) there was heating for the chilliernights. There was also a hair-dryer, and an iron upon request. Then, ofcourse, we had a room with a balcony which was perfect for catching thesun all day. Having lunch or a coffee there was very pleasant, seeingenough of the sea, at the foot of the street, to claim a sea view.
