Reviews for Hotel Restaurante Doña Anita

Review 1:0730 shower was barely luke warm. No designated car park, parking in town square outside only permitted between 1900-1000, although we arrived on a Sunday at 1400 and had no problems.

Review 2:Homely comforting hotel, lovely attic room, very efficient central heating, excellent locally typical 'menu del dia' and breakfast, very good location in the heart of the historic old town.

Review 3:Difficult to find with GPS although it got us there, very narrow streets. Toilet seat kept falling down, very annoying. Town will be absolutely fabulous when all the renovation is finished, but rather dilapidated at the moment, although the potential is there.

Review 4:The owners are lovely, madame speaks excellent English. The reception area is unusual, old chimney in one corner of the restaurant with log fire. Bedrooms comfortable and quiet. Restaurant food very good at a price but excellent wine.

Review 5:We had a duplex room and found the winding stairs between lounge and bedroom difficult to negotiate, especially with suitcases!

Review 6:Very friendly and helpful staff, including the chef! Easy parking right at the door. Ramp available for guests with limited mobility, like us. Plenty of choice for dinner; good inexpensive house wine.

Review 7:Church bells ring every 15 minutes. Thin walls and doors lead to noisy room.

Review 8:The Romanian cook was very good and spoke good English. About 75% of staff spoke good English. Beautiful location with free parking. I would definately stay there again.

Review 9:Wi-fi didn't work in our room. Shower was poor.

Review 10:Spent one night in Requena to visit wine bodegas. Small, quiet town so wouldn't spend more than 1 night there. Nice hotel in good central location. Didn't eat there so can't comment on restaurant. If they posted menus outside they may get more people to eat there!

Review 11:The hidromasaje in shower is more an obstacle than something to advertise in room description. The water in cold tap took ages to come out cold!!!!!!!!

Review 12:It's just a nice simple hotel for one or two nights. We just stopped over for one night. The girl there is really friendly and helpful.

Review 13:The room was lovely but the bed was very hard and a bit uncomfortable .

Review 14:The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious .

Review 15:We got the attic room and it is very nice,

Review 16:Really should be more than a two star hotel. Hotel is exceptionally clean, friendly helpful staff and great food.

Review 17:room a little small relative to the price

Review 18:superb menú del día helpful staff

Review 19:Chef cooks with passion and it shows.

Review 20:Someone smoking in the kitchen off putting for non smokers.chips in the plates est

Review 22:The situation

Review 23:This small hotel had decent-sized rooms and offered good breakfasts and had a nice restaurant for evening meals

Review 24:No problems

Review 25:Great place to chill out staff great really good hotel we have stayed there twice and will again

Review 26:We had a meal there based on the recommendations we say online but thought it was awful

Review 27:Lovely comfortable room on two floors.

Review 28:Pretty decor throughout and a friendly staff.

Review 29:Bathroom was nice if a little on the small side.

Review 30:Very pleasant attic room with all facilities. Hotel itself is full of charm and is perfectly located on the square in the old part of town.

Review 31:A charming small hotel, with those little details that make a big difference. Ideally placed between Madrid and Valencia for a night's stopover, to visit the old town and have a very good supper with excellent wine from the region – we'll be back!

Review 32:The confirmation should provide a map or directions ... very difficult to find for a first time visitor. The matress in one of my guests rooms sagged to the middle, fine for couples who like to sleep close, but not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

Review 33:The hotel is in a beautiful location, right across the square from the cathedral. Great staff, who speak basic English. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in the restaurant.

Review 34:Not easy to find as in old town with narrow streets many pedestriansed and to narrow for our sat nav to work Suggest that vistors download a location map / instructions on how to find ( worth looking for though as in lovley quiet square )

Review 35:NIce Room Freindly staff Good Dinner

Review 36:We had problems with the shower. The control was so stiff I had to get my husband to turn it on. My mother, who is 87 could turn her shower on either.

Review 37:The staff were friendly and helpful. The chef in particular came to speak to to talk us through the menu which was in Spanish and nothin was too much trouble for him The food was excellent in the atmospheric restaurant.

Review 38:The church bells are turned off overnight, but they do start again at 8 in the morning and are every 15 minutes!

Review 39:Great location up in the old town, but only a 5 minute walk down to the main town.

Review 40:The cost seemed good until the following: Hotel was noisy. Rooms hadlittle soft furnishings. Tv did not work. WiFi was turned off at 2200 to0900. Resturant menu was limited.

Review 41:The location of the hotel was good. The town was a great experience ofSpanish culture and history for a couple of days. The local people arevery friendly and helpful.

Review 42:No negative views.

Review 43:Lovely little hotel set in a quiet old town square. The staff were friendly and we received one-to-one service from the chef who explained each dish to us in the restaurant in the evening. Requena itself is a small town and a really nice place to stop over.

Review 44:On Sunday evening restaurant closed. Narrow streets and not easy to find in a car (we went by motorbike so narrow streets not such a problem)

Review 45:Nice location, comfortable bed, tea-making facility.

Review 46:Says that there is 24 hr wi fi available throughout. We couldn't get it to work in our room so tried in the lobby area. We asked the staff as we still couldn't access it. The reception for wi fi was usually fair. Had to give up in the end and use a local internet cafe.

Review 47:Lovely location in the plaza. Nice room with two windows giving different views of the plaza (room 203). Atmospheric hotel nicely decorated and furnished. We thought at first that parking might be a problem but were able to park in the plaza or by the side of the hotel. Difficult to find the first time. Luckily someone escorted us by bike to show us where it was. Once found we didn't get lost returning to the hotel after that. Nice breakfast - good value for 6 euros. Nice evening meals. Very little English spoken but staff friendly and patient.

Review 48:The main disadvantage was parking, but this could be overcome with a little effort. 17th century streets are not designed for motor cars!

Review 49:A small, friendly hotel, managed by the owners. Good location in the historic town centre of Requena.

Review 50:This is a memorable place to stay - feels old and in keeping with thelocation but it is quite a recent hotel. But it felt like an old placeand we had a great room. We found it hard to find but it is quite easy.In the middle of town, near the tourist office, you need to take thesteep road up past the castle. The roads are quite narrow but there isvery little traffic. Keep going straight ahead - when you reach a churchon the left you can turn right into the square. The hotel is facing youon the far right as you enter the square.

Review 51:We really liked the situating of the hotel: in the ancient part of the town, on a very nice square. The hotel itself was a very characteristic hotel, the central part and the halls were decoraded by peintures all over the walls, the rooms were comfortabele and authentic.

Review 52:WiFi no operativa

Review 53:Steps down into the Hotel.

Review 54:Good location, close to all tourist sites.

Review 55:Charming hotel/restarant in the very centre of the old town of Requena. Lovely situated on a small square. Friendly staff and a warm welcome.

Review 57:the design of the room, the restaurant: very good food, and the staff is very friendly

Review 58:Good location and price, had no problem getting a room during the winw festival.

Review 59:Had a very nice stay, with excellent service 24/7. Nice food and friendly service in the centre of old Requena

Review 60:Nice and convenient location in the old town of Requena.
