Review 5：The king bed is actually two twin beds put together and connected with a thin king-size mattress. Needless to say, if you sleep in the middle, you will eventually find yourself in a hole. Breakfast is rich in choices, but rather poor in quality. However, the views and the smiling stuff make up for it.

Review 6：The rooms are huge and they have a great view towards the sea. The breakfast papaya was amazing!

Review 7：The hotel needs renovation, some cracks here and there. Swimming pool could have been more warmer, sometimes it was not possible to get inside it even during hot days. Entertainment in the evening is not very good.

Review 8：Location is great, between Puerto Rico and Amadores beach. Easy access with the elevator to the walking path along the ocean, so you don't need to take a taxi or bus all the time. Staff is super friendly, happy to help. We asked for a room in block 4 on higher floors, and got exactly what we wanted. Used Spa centre many times, very relaxing after a long day of walking. Safe box in the room is big enough to fit a 15 inch laptop! Food was excellent both during breakfast and dinner. We loved our 7-day stay so much, that we have decided to prolong it for 5 more days!

Review 9：I am not a great lover of loud evening entertainment, and it was a bit difficult to escape from this at times but not impossible. It wouldn't stop me going again!

Review 10：We were upgraded to one of the suites which was huge with a spa bath and wonderful balcony. All the balconies seem to look out over the ocean which adds to the ambiance of this hotel. There are two infinity pools, and the Spa hydrotherapy pool is fabulous. The food choice is superb. The breakfast balcony overlooking Mount Teide on Tenerife was also superb - a great start to every day. It is a short walk to Puerto Rico with its bars, watersports and boat trips along the coast. In the other direction is Amadores with its [rather busy] beach and market shops.

Review 11：Theoretically every room faces the ocean but in reality there are many rooms that don't. We had requested for a room in block 3 through booking.com. We were however given a room on block 2 which looks into the pool-side bar! So the only 'view' was of people ordering drinks!!! The hotel then 'offered' a better suite at Euros 50 extra. We had no choice but to take it though we didn't need a suite with 4 beds (there were just 2 of us). The wifi in our room was terrible. We had a semi-decent signal only when lying down on one side of the bed. No where else.

Review 12：The hotel is quite large spanning 4 blocks. It's built into a cliff that falls into the ocean. So the view is absolutely stunning. There is a bit of noise from the road just below the hotel but once you close the doors shut, it's pretty ok. Food at the breakfast buffet was good. Lots of options.

Review 19：Taxi booked and paid for at reception day before departure but taxi notbooked by reception. When we enquired at reception the following morninghaving waited for the taxi 10 minutes past its due time, we were told itwas not listed in the taxi booking emails and we could have our moneyback. We explained that we needed a taxi not a refund and promptly or wewould miss our flights. A taxi was then rang for and this taxi didarrive soon afterwards.

Review 21：Entertainment in the evening for the adults wasn't great. The salon were the shows are held is pretty massive, so not much of an atmosphere. Also the backdrop on the stage for the whole week was a pink cardboard castle built for the kids... Which made the acts look even less professional than they were... A curtain could easily have fixed that.

Review 27：Some (not all, but some) of the staff were unhelpful. We asked at reception if they could make advance bookings for us for some restaurants and activities but they were quite snooty in saying absolutely not. I also waited a good seven or eight minutes to be served at reception and when one guy was finally free he waved over another couple who had just walked up and served them instead. This was bad service. The food wasn't amazing; I'm not a fan of buffet style anyway but I do have special dietary requirements and it was practically impossible to have these needs met.

Review 45：I liked the salt water spa. I came to the hotel the first evening with much coughing from bronchial asthma ~ the multiple jets were so relaxing, the warm and cold pools so invigorating. It was the first night I slept with no coughing, a true miracle cure! I liked the nearby Amadores beach, my husband and I were there every day. The swim pool at the hotel was also nice and warm. The guests were cheery and enjoying themselves.

Review 69：This hotel is ideally situated between Puerto Rico and Amadores and is a short walk to both. On arrival we received a glass of bubbly as were checked in by a very pleasant young lady. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a large balcony overlooking the pool and sea. There was always a good choice of food available for breakfast and dinner which was of a high quality. Both pool areas were well layed out with plenty of sun beds. Overall, we had a great week at the Gloria a Palace Amadores and will return.

Review 70：We arrived late at night and found it difficult to find a sandwich in any of the bars. We unfortunately had a very bad week weather wise and their was very limited entertainment when it was wet. Also the night time entertainment was very predictable and lacked imagination or spontaneity. Additional charges to use the gym, indoor pool etc seemed a bit mean considering the prices charged to stay in the hotel as well as the miserable weather outside. We had looked forward for years to staying in this hotel, but must say I left feeling a little disappointed

Review 71：The hotel is in an excellent location half way between Puerto Rico main beach and Amadores beach. The rooms are spacious and adequate only. They lack a certain extra level of comfort I expected for a hotel of this price. Food was excellent with large varieties to choose from. Hotel in general was kept very well.

The hotel itself had fantastic facilities, you can choose from two pools and the beach is only a short walk away. There was a great variety of food to choose from and our son could eat and drink all day. Would highly recommend this hotel.
