Reviews for Hotel Can Simo
Review 1:It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Review 2:The character of the hotel - so much of the original house still very visible. The size of the hotel is also perfect - the staff know you, and you feel welcome as soon as you step through the door.
Review 3:Air conditioner was noisy a bit , wifi connectivity was very weak and parking instructions while booking was not clear.
Review 4:Location , restaurant and the room.
Review 5:Just one thing....albeit a pretty major complaint. There is a glass wall between the bedroom and the bathroom, half clear glass and half frosted. Why did anyone ever think this was a good idea? Bathroom business needs to be done behind closed doors and out of sight of others.
Review 6:Unable to get any English satelite channels except news.
Review 7:Friendly, attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. All areas are clean. Amazing evening meals. Great location.
Review 8:There was nothing bad however the evening meal when half board had very little choice - two starters, two mains and a dessert although in four nights nothing was repeated. The food itself was delicious but choice limited.
Review 9:The quality of the accommodation, the large jacuzzi bath, the balcony with the morning sun and the general feel of luxury.
Review 10:Noise on street level
Review 11:V nice people, good food, excellent location, nicely decorated rooms. A little noisy in ground floor room due to proximity to street. Will go back though for sure!
Review 12:My only small quibble was that I thought I had booked in Can Simo - particularly as I liked the style of the rooms. However we were actually in Can Vent next door - which was very comfortable but a bit more modern in decor. The wifi was a bit intermittent.
Review 13:Good location, close to lots of restaurants, in lovely traffic free quiet streets. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Very helpful friendly owners.
Review 14:Hot stuffy dark room. Pathetic air conditioning which only "worked" with the windows shut. Hard bed. Awful breakfast of tinned fruit and soggy croissants.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:No one to meet us when we arrived at 8pm. The room was stifling and we had to ask one of the waiters how the air conditioning worked. It was certainly a novel system the windows had to be closed before the air conditioning worked. When my wife switched on the hair dryer it started smoking due to an electrical fault. We reported it next morning and were told that it was on the owners list of repairs. It was not repaired during our visit although a second hair dryer was supplied the fact that there was a dangerous circuit didn't seem to be urgent. After returning from dinner on the night of our stay the power to our room went off along with the air conditioning. The owner who does not live on the premises appeared some 30 minutes later and after some arm waving told us that an emergency electrician had been called. We finally got to bed around 3pm.The owner was arrogant and unpleasant. We moved the next morning to a hotel in Puerto Pollensa. This hotel is certainly not value for money.
Review 17:The restaurant was good, friendly waiters and excellent food. It is important to know that the restaurant is a separate business to the hotel.
Review 18:The old town alcudia is beautiful and the staff were so accommodating it was fabulous from start to finish
Review 19:position , atmosphere
Review 20:Breakfast was a little bit limited
Review 21:Love the space and the apartment feel!
Review 22:There were no safety deposit boxes in the room but this is being corrected.
Review 23:The position of the hotel in the centre of Alcudia is excellent. There is a lovely courtyard restaurant where we had breakfast. The food in the restaurant in the evening is very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 24:The room was terrible, the windows opened out onto two busy streets and it wasn't appropriate for two young females to stay in a room like that. The reception was opposite the room and I did express my concern about noise but was told it wasn't a problem. Well it was! Sadly we had unpacked everything on the first night and so moving rooms would have been a challenge. The aircon didn't work and the shower was shocking. It's very overpriced for what you get. The area is beautiful but I'd really recommend staying elsewhere nearby. The manager was also rude on more than one occasion. When you are spending this kind of money on a hotel I really do expect a lot more than what I received.
Review 25:The area is beautiful but this hotel is very overpriced. I'd suggest staying somewhere nearby and going to the hotel restaurant which was fab!
Review 26:Exremely small issue of some noise in the late evening from the attatched restaurant up until approx 11 30pm. As we were on the ground floor this may have been worse than if you were staying up stairs.
Review 27:Wonderful little hotel with bags of character in an excellent location. Small and friendly , rooms simply decorated but beautifully done , owners extremely helpfull and welcoming. Loved breakfast out in the courtyard listening to the birds in the sun. 5 mins from the restaurants , shops , taxis and information centre. Great restaurant along side with very good food , much better than some of the others in the vacinity.
Review 28:Could perhaps have done with a few more creature comforts in our bedroom and bathroom?
Review 29:Really friend and helpful service. Excellent restaurant producing some outstanding dishes. Great location in the historic centre of the old Roman town but accessible to many superb local beaches
Review 30:Nowhere to chill out during the day as the terrace is used as a restaurant
Review 31:Excellent location and staff. Stunning boutique hotel. Food at the restaurant was excellent.
Review 32:No hot option at breakfast ( a minor moan)
Review 33:The hotel was lovley, the location, the Decor, the "feel" of the hotel, and the Restaurant was excellent
Review 34:Paulo and Pedro made us so welcome on our arrival and also through the excellent meal we had in hotel restaraunt It was definitely one of the best meals I have had in my 30 years of going to Majorca Only one little complaint couldn't watch and tv in English only news channel
Review 35:The coffee! - they need much better coffee !!!
Review 36:Location, comfort and spaciousness of the rooms, friendly owner and staff, character of the building and the courtyard setting for breakfast
Review 37:Loved Everything!!!!
Review 38:Amazing hotel, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had the most amazing and unforgettable vacation in the short time we spend in Alcudia.
Review 39:No balcony to sit out( although other rooms had) No full length mirror. Toilet behind sliding glass door in bedroom not ideal!
Review 40:Good position in old town.easy /free parking.
Review 41:the quality of the rooms seems to differ at lot. in our case: minuscule bathroom - not at all what the pictures on the internet show. too expensive for what it is.
Review 42:tastefully decorated, great patio, location and food is good.
Review 43:Need more carbo at dinner! (for a cyclist, otherwise OK)
Review 44:Inside city walls, small (7 bed) boutique hotel (no kids!). Wonderful quality dinner when halfboard. Staff excellent and friendly.
Review 45:Tiny points only- had to double lock door using key in darkness. No comfy chair or even lack of 2 chairs in room, mirror in bedroom would be useful, bottom sheet very fine , slippy. A soft topper or mattress cover would be nice
Review 46:Charm, very welcoming , friendly. In the heart of alcudia.
Review 47:The room was cleaned daily, but not very thouroughly. For instance, there were still hairs and traces of toothpaste in the sink when we arrived, something I just had not not expected of a hotel that has been given high marks on cleanliness in the ratings.
Review 48:The personal was very friendly, and the location wonderfully quiet, although you basically just had to turn the corner to find yourself in the maze of wonderful small, stone-paved streets that make up Alcùida. The interior design was wonderful.
Review 49:Hotel was very clean modern and had fantastic features. The meal we had at the restaurant there was one of the best meals i have tasted. I would advise anyone wanting a quiet retreat to visit this hotel.
Review 50:Nice location right in the city center Patio, where we had breakfast everyday Friendly staff Big room
Review 51:My Husband was disappointed about lam medal ones. Dry and it isn't pice of meat.
