Reviews for Ca´n Pere

Review 1:Sunday on arrival hand basin in bedroom was blocked. Advised young lady looking after the whole restaurant alone and covering reception. Job not done, advised new young lady on Monday, at breakfast. Job not done. Advised same young lady at lunchtime. Job not done. Returned to room around 5pm.Job not done. Found young man in kitchen who came immediately to room and sorted the matter within 10 minutes. Thereafter perfect.

Review 2:Location

Review 3:Air conditioner was a bit loud but that would not put me off going back there.

Review 4:Excellent hotel located in the centre of the old town. Set in beautifully restored building. Creative interior design with many purple accents! Spacious room. Great value for money.

Review 5:The shower didn't work properly and also the air conditioner, so it was quite warm in the room.

Review 6:Nice balcony with the view to the restaurant in the garden.

Review 7:I had ants in the room.

Review 8:The location is very nice, right in the middle of old town. Parking is 5 minutes away. You can get 15% discount on eating at their 3 restaurants.

Review 9:A lot of light into the room so early in the morning because of the skylight. It was a short night...

Review 10:Great location in old town, beautiful room with a lot of character, very charming place.

Review 11:I travelled a lot over the world and i booked a lot through booking.com, always very happy with the choice. This time it was not bad, it was a disaster. What was is about, a crib for my 1 year old kid. The woman of the hotel screamed at me and threatened us to trow us out of the hotel because i expect a 7star hotel and that i´m never satisfied. This was the worst judgement she could make, i travelled all over the world and in poor places i slept on the ground if i needed to. We are a modest family. The only thing i wanted was a bed (as asked and reserved in booking) for my kid of 1 year old. First she said we don´t have a bed at all and asked can he sleep in a big bed… after complaining that my kid could´t sleep she tried to do her best after 1,5 hour she delivered a little bed (we didn’t get a drink or anything, we were just waiting there and it was already nighttime for the baby). The little bed was without mattress so she said put a blanket and lay him in there. We tried but he slept on the iron construction of the bed, the blanket of course wasn´t enough. Moreover, one side of the bed was broken so it did´t stand well. After telling that to the women she started screaming about that i´m never satisfied and that she wants to trow us out of the hotel. I closed the room and tried to sleep with the kid, of course this didn´t work out and we left the hotel at 6 in the morning without food and breakfast and nobody was there to sign out. I never got such a bad service. I would not recommend this place.

Review 12:Nice design

Review 13:No tea and coffee making facilities in the room

Review 14:We had an excellent stay in Alcudia and loved every minute of staying in this hotel - it was extremely romantic setting (we enjoyed being away from the commercial seafront at the beach), the staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble - we would definitely stay there again, infact we are planning next year).

Review 15:bed not particularly comfortable and terrace strangely placed, leading from bathroom

Review 16:stayed at C'an Pere as fairly close proximity to wedding venue we were visiting, however would definitely not rule out this hotel again for a short holiday as perfectly placed in the pretty Alcudia old town.

Review 17:Only small thing was that there was no hand soap or tea making facilities in the rooms

Review 18:Location in the old town Beautiful, large and characterful rooms Free Parking 200m away Old Town exploring right outside the door The staff are very helpful Great choice of bars and restaurants Fantastic Breakfast

Review 19:Air conditioning completely non-functioning, resulting in having to stay elsewhere for the night. Staff not around to complain to. It was ridiculously hot.

Review 20:Good location

Review 21:The AC of the room was not working. So they brought another ground type mobile one. However it is not sufficient to cool down such room and has a very disturbing noise. Also you need to leave the terrace door open for the AC to work. It was impossible to sleep in such condition. We informed the staff about this three times and they did not do anything. Another issue is cleaning. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and they did not even bother to change the towels or clean the floor. As a result do not stay in this hotel...

Review 22:The hotel is in a good central location in old alcudia. The rooms are nicely and authenticly decorated.

Review 23:Everything

Review 24:Excellent location for good bars and restaurants. Lovely hotel.

Review 25:very nice hotel in the heart of the city

Review 26:Great location, well equipped room, charming decoration.

Review 27:Noisy air con.

Review 28:Shame we had to check out early and missed breakfast! Shame! Great room, very clean, great comfort. Great part of town.

Review 29:What is not to like ???

Review 30:The staff, room, location and so good!

Review 31:Great location! Very nice building and interior! Particular thanks to Maria (receptionist) for her support in any circumstances!!

Review 32:Loved the Menorca room!! Courtyard was amazing. Gorgeous hotel

Review 33:Very Strong and disturbing fragrance in our room.

Review 34:Breakfast and location of the hotel were good.

Review 35:I liked everything about the hotel. The room was wonderful and it was decorated with such flair. The owners were very nice. It was such a pleasant stay. Highly recommend.

Review 36:There were small niggles - air-con not working, no tea making equipment, no hot water on one day, bathroom toiletries poor - but most of these were sorted on asking. The most serious problem occurred halfway through our stay, when we were asked if we would move to another hotel for our last night! The hotel manager admitted an overbooking but did not seem to appreciate the upset and disruption to our holiday that such a suggestion would cause. The implication seemed to be that it was our booking that had caused the problem, despite being confirmed in August 2013 and re-confirmed in January 2014 and on arrival at the hotel. We expressed our disappointment clearly and, after a series of 'phone calls by the manager over the next two days, he eventually agreed that we could stay for the whole of our booking! Looking at other reviews of this hotel, it would appear the this is not the first occurrence of over-booking - prospective clients beware.

Review 37:The location and hotel itself were superb, right in the centre of the old town in a building that had been beautifully renovated in the original style. Our room was spacious and, once the air conditioning had been persuaded to blow cold, comfortable. We had the use of a small balcony, which was welcomed. The bed was a luxurious 6-foot wide four-poster with a memory-foam mattress. The young lady (Biki?) who attended to breakfast and serviced the rooms was excellent - friendly, accommodating and very helpful - a real gem!

Review 38:Shower was a hand held one only. This class of hotel should be equipped with a proper shower. Pillows inadequate.

Review 39:A very nice hotel in a good situation.

Review 40:By lattice-work locked windows create an uncertainty in case of problems...

Review 41:A most delightfull and very nice renovated hotel: highly to be recommended !! Just take care to not stay on the upper floor because of the lattice-work the windows are locked with.

Review 42:Maybe a little bit overstrained - three calls before arriving, three different answers and finally nobody at the hotel when arriving. So once again trying to reach anybody by phone – and after waiting 45 minutes with the luggage in the pedestrians zone someone arrived. Not the best start to be honest ...

Review 43:Lovely rooms, nice restaurant

Review 44:Couldn't get wifi even when asked the reception. The hotel turnedthe air conditioning off in the night and early morning and so was toohot during the night. Probably did this to save money as have heard itis happening in other hotels. Appalling when paid for this. Nobodyaround to talk about this except lady who sorted breakfast and didntspeak English. Ate in restaurant which was disappointing. Staff weregood but overworked. Had to wait 30 mins to try and pay the bill but inthe end left without signing. Paid next morning. My main course ofravioli was luke warm and had obviously been sitting in kitchen.Didn't have wine or first course I wanted. As this was a specialtreat for our tenth wedding anniversary we expected better. It could bea fabulous hotel but didnt come up to the mark for us at all.

Review 45:The hotel was in a good central position. Room modern, bed verycomfortable. Breakfast great.

Review 46:There is no formal reception desk, mostly we have contacts with personwho prepare breakfast, she only speak spanish, so communication was aproblem, breakfast is nothing special, quality varies, fresh bread wasonly two times in a five day stay. Tv programmes are only in Spanish, satellite receiver was of no use since all programmes were blocked. Bedwas fancy, but to small for me and my wife and was squeaking after everymove; there are two churches in the vicinity with bells ringing everyhour during the night (and every half hour) - it is not the problem ofthe hotel (I guess all hotels in the old town has the same problem). They use artificial scents to make place smell nicer - I would avoidthis at all times.

Review 47:Room is really spacious and clean, wireless is good and free, locationis great, hotel has a good potential if they increase the size of beds, take care that the breakfast is up to the certain standard and teach thepersonnel basic english (or german). All in all personnel was friendly.

Review 48:Room was not a place to sit and relax, no view. No Bar in hotel, meals OK but a bit expensive. Being December, there was no "outside" area to use

Review 49:Breakfasts were good, staff were friendly and helpfull.

Review 50:Everything. It is a great family run hotel. Brilliant service, characteristic rooms and great value for money. I have stayed there many times and never been disappointed. Restaurant and food fantastic. Staff very helpful and friendly, they make you feel at home.

Review 51:• Toilet paper very poor; • No tea/coffee making facilities in bedroom; • Prefer sink and toilet to be divided off into a separate room rather than low ceiling or as part of bedroom

Review 52:• Authentic; • Clean; • Friendly service; • Excellent evening meal and breakfast restaurant; • Bedrooms, including wardrobe space, 1 with fridge, 1 with own balcony terrace, 1 with Jacuzzi bath; • Location, very near bus stop; • Communication beforehand; • Comfortable beds; • Television with languages available.

Review 53:I thought the staff, friendly , warm and welcoming. We ate in the hotel restaurant and found the food to be to a higher standard that other eateries in the area. All and all a lovely experience.

Review 54:Totaly no service for guests staying in the hotel, no one to book us in on arrival, kitchen staff called someone for me to speak with on the phone, 10 minutes later a young girl turns up, looks at my passport, gives me a room key and leaves. No instructions or even direction to our room. No room service so why not have tea/coffee facilities in the room. No satellite TV, or if there was no instructions on how to use it. No telephone to reception in room. Plumbing in bathroom was poor and needs attention, nothing drains away when using the sink or bath. If you like privacy in your bathroom you are out of look with the walls of the bathroom only just above head height. Breakfast service on a par with everything else, non existant. We did intend to eat in the restaurant but decided against it following our arrival. Again no management on departure and we ended up paying the lady who was cleaning the breakfast area. This hotel lists itself as 4 star ! It's not a hotel it's a restaurant with 4 rooms attached. Finaly the local bell tower rings on the hour every hour through the night so do not expect a good nights sleep.

Review 55:The natural stone walls and clean decoration.

Review 56:Not recommended for anyone who has a problem walking or climing stairs. Rooms are on second and third floors with no elevator. Walk from taxi stop to hotel is 250 meters.

Review 57:Charming boutique hotel with only 6 rooms, each exquisitely decorated. Very romantic. Restaurant is elegant with both indoor and courtyard seating. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Location in the heart of a medieval village with pedestrian only narrow streets was unique. Many restaurants and shops in the old town.

Review 58:The room was lovely, somewhat daunted by the open plan bathroom arrangementThe air conditioning in our room was not working properly, we asked the owner/manager to check it while we were out and were told on our return it was all working ok, which it clearly was not as we had set it to a very cool temperature and the room was hot. Impossible to sleep, also unable to keep the terrace doors open as it looked out directly at the hotel restaurant balcony. This is actually a restaurant with 4 rooms!

Review 59:Lovely old building in the old town of Alcudia, rooms are beautiful

Review 60:The rooms are equiped in a boutique style which creates a special atmosphere but at the same time is highly impractical. There is only little light in the room and other facilities such as working desk are not present. The bathroom is not separated from the room and there is no space to dry clothes. Despite being it a small hotel outside of main touristic zone, we felt the same anonymity as staying in a large beach hotel.

Review 61:We liked the location and the design of the interiers.

Review 62:There was a problem with getting water out of the bath tap, but theyfound a plumber who sorted it incredibly quickly. Wish we had plumbersthat quick in the uk, and I'm talking minutes!

Review 63:Brilliant little restaurant with rooms rather than a traditional hotel.Only 4 rooms and I had the best. Fabulous 6ft bed with en suitebath/shower. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I had awonderful meal in the restaurant and breakfast was fresh and tasty.Usual pastries, fruit, cheese, meat etc and cooked eggs if you wanted.I'd certainly go again. Right in the middle of the walled town, butquiet at night. Easy walk from the car park by the church.

Review 64:The owners were not available and all was left to the maid.Payment was requested from the maid on arrival prior to seeing the room. This is a good standard B&B but they need to look at the condition of the towels.Bath towels are large hand towels and while they are changed everyday the replacements can be a bit tatty. The Breakfast is well presented and with plenty of choice however do not expect local baked pasries or bread. Owner need to look at Can Abril in Soller for a guide into how it should be done at this price level.

Review 65:It was clean and well presented and very central for the old town.

Review 66:Not much of interest in Alcudia village itself.

Review 67:Comfortable clean hotel with elegant, warm bedroom and friendly, helpful staff. Both bath and shower in room. Good free carpark nearby, and several good cafes & restaurants within easy walking distance.Other places of interest within easy driving distance (10- 15 inutesto Port Alcudia, Port Pollenca and Pollenca town itself). Quick accessto motorway.

Review 68:breakfast was served alittle late but ok.

Review 69:lovely garden restaurant room was large and romantic

Review 70:Cannot find anything

Review 71:The room, the small hotel in the city centre. Kind people.

Review 72:It is beautiful,
