Review 1：We loved everything at this hotel, specially manager's friendly welcoming. He will play board games with you and make you and your family feel at home. His wife will join him for a very interesting conversation.

Review 2：The location and the view over the lake and mountains are marvellous. Food is excellent. We loved the swim in the lake. A true paradise. And the owner is an excellent host.

Review 3：We felt very welcome. Very nice staff every hour of the day! The view from the hotel: Stunning. Their private beach at the lake with beds, parasols, rowing boat, kajak and other floating and play things for everyone. Great food.

Review 4：Rooms could use an update. No A/C; hard to find in Austria, luckily did not need it in July, and no mosquitoes, so OK to leave balcony door open at night. Friends traveling together may need to ask for a larger room (not sure hotel can accommodate this request) so beds can be separated into two; our room was not big enough to do so, but being that we were mother & daughter traveling together, we managed with just one bed.

Review 5：View from balcony was spectacular. Mountains, water, and setting of Faaker See is stunningly picturesque. Beautiful private beach with self-serve refreshment cabana; refreshments are jotted down when consumed, tallied up, and paid for during check-out. Hotel's private beach is located near public beach, but completely private. Walk to beach through town and a meadow-like park is pleasant but long enough that one may prefer to drive, and park in public beach parking lot, however one can catch a ride back to the hotel with staff if they are present and are heading back to hotel. Private beach also provided a very clean bathroom and changing rooms, lounge chairs and umbrellas free of charge. Remember to bring towels. Excellent breakfast buffet, and tasty dinner. Yes, there is an elevator and free parking. Owner is very charming, attentive to guests, ever present, and has an eye towards quality. Staff is gracious, takes pride in workmanship, and attentive to needs of guests.

Review 6：Given its level, the hotel's rates are not cheap, especially for young adults. But I have to say it was worth it. Otherwise we cannot think of anything negative with regard to our time at Hotel Schönruh. 5/5

Review 7：The location is beautiful—the property itself has a stunning view of the lake and mountains in the background (we called it the "Misty Mountain" because it reminded us of Lord of the Rings). The staff was absolutely excellent. In particular, Mr. Hinterleitner was by far the friendliest, most pleasant hotel host/manager I have ever met. The rest of the staff was friendly, attentive to detail, and a pleasure to work with as well. The hotel had several perks, including a lovely sand beach/pier area at the actual shore, a rowboat and kayak for use on the lake, and free bikes to rent for cycling around the area. The free breakfasts were scrumptious.
