Reviews for PortBlue Club Pollentia Resort & Spa

Review 1:- Resort is lonely located between Alcudia and Port de Pollenca. Absolutely nothing outside the Resort at walking distance. So you need a car. - Beach in front of the Resort is not good to swim or sunbathing but there is a free shuttle service that bring you on the most populare beaches. - Resort is popular among bicycle lovers. The problem is some of them they bring their bycicles inside the bedroom (!!!) and continuosly move the furniture to find a good adjustement for that (every day) making a lot of noise. I think the resort management they have to forbid such a bad manner.

Review 2:+ Top End Breakfast/Dinner buffet + Professional Staff + Private free parking + Indoor heated pool + Good Gym

Review 3:Staff were SO accommodating and helpful! Early check-ins, upgraded rooms at a discount, stored luggage for us, had early breakfast open for early fliers, etc.! Our newly remodeled room in the Stella Village Plus was excellent, and the food quality and presentation at the restaurants was outstanding!

Review 4:We were there at the end of the season and they started closing things down too early. I know they had lots to do but it should have been 100% up-and-running till the very end.

Review 5:Food was amazing, lots of choice and really good quality. The pool was also great.

Review 6:The cleanliness, hospitality of the staff, and the choice of food was the best I have seen. We booked several trips through the hotel which were great.

Review 7:we were very happy and pleased with our first stay in Club Pollentia.the staff was very friendly and helpful especially Cristina in main reception. Food was excellent!!!. We would defenitly visit the hotel again.

Review 8:Mattresses very hard and didn't give a good nights sleep. My only gripe otherwise this hotel was great.

Review 9:Great location; Great price (£207 for three nights); friendly and attentive staff; great facilities and pools; adult only area was nice touch as were adult only bars and restaurant.

Review 10:the outdoor pool was freezing but the smaller outdoor spa area was warm enough so made up. The wifi wasn't good in the bedroom and variable around the hotel. Too much food, all good, we put on weight!!!

Review 11:fab to have a heated indoor pool in October. On site bike shop was great. food was pretty good but tooo much of it and self control became an issue. Suite room worked perfectly with small child. Nicer beaches only 5 mins away by car, beautiful area, nie places to visit and eat within easy distance(Alcudia, Pollencia) airport only 45 mins drive.

Review 12:No bad experience.

Review 13:Excellent surroundings and very spacious rooms. Superb variety at mealtimes and very good quality. This resort has now introduced an adults only section which is great for a more peaceful and relaxed stay. Staff very friendly and helpful in all departments.

Review 14:Drains right outside one of our rooms (ground floor) were really smelly after a storm.

Review 15:Great facilities for sports and relaxation. Lots to do. Good food and nice staff. The upgraded rooms are really good ... The older ones are tired and in need of the upgrade.

Review 16:Absolutely everything. Most helpful and friendly staff. Great location for doing sports. Nicely kept - great buffet - lots of activities. Don't want to leave here!!

Review 17:Staff was very accommodating, allowing us to store luggage for several days when we traveled to another part of the island, discounting upgrades, expediting early check-in. Silvia and others at reception were particularly helpful and friendly! Food, service and presentation at both restaurants were excellent--it would be easy to gain weight staying here, if there weren't so many active things to do.

Review 18:The beds are too hard

Review 19:The area is beautiful, far away from the mad crowds however close enough to bus it out. Excellent all round facilities to cater for everyone.

Review 20:The buffet quality was very poor. Very little daily variation and nothing was especially tasty or even fresh. The prices of drinks in the restaurants were also quite high. Wifi in room kept cutting out.

Review 21:Adult only zone with kids free pool and restaurant. Value for money.

Review 22:Adult pool area could be a little less basic. TV for British programmes a bit unreliable as was Internet, but it doesn't s free.

Review 23:Excellent choice of food and wine on our all inclusive stay. Location looking over the bay is beautiful with bus stop right outside of the hotel very convenient. Staff very helpful and friendly

Review 24:It would have been nice to sit on the balcony of the Villa. But since the neighbours to the left as well as to the right as well as below were smokers this was not possible. After all, we paid for a balcony. It is time that Management now (after the restaurant decision) makes another good one. Make some villas/gardens smoke free! Smoking is out since long ago and especially for places with ambitions for a sports profile.

Review 25:This place is still among the best for your (bicycle) training camp. Good location, right at the waterfront, nice setting, beautiful gardens, next to the Albufereta with many birds, swimming pool etc. The major improvement enforced recently is to allocate one of the two restaurants for people who appreciate to dine without that terrible noise from screaming small children. We have proposed this for years and Management has eventually made the right decision. Everybody happy!

Review 26:Location quite remote and road too busy to walk along comfortably. Being next to a nature reserve seemed good but led to loads of mosquito bites. Vegetarian food options unclear and generally limited

Review 27:Excellent staff. Nice suite

Review 28:Excellent quality food, variety and presentation! Even though we were there staying at a busy time, it never felt crowded and the service was outstanding! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were neat and clean.

Review 29:The eating area lacked intimacy in the evenings. very bright lighting. Lovely if you were able to sit outside. Need a few more candles and lower lights to create a romantic atmosphere.

Review 30:The hotel was very good, staff, accommodation and surroundings. Would definitely return

Review 31:Rooms ought to be equipped with better blankets or feather-bed and pillows. Also late check-out could be free of charge if the check in is late too.

Review 32:Great food, seaside location, friendly stuff, our housekeeper Mari, good access for disabled guests to all the parts of the hotel.

Review 33:The all inclusive price is quite reasonable but it's not always straightforward to take advantage of. For example, you can only get small bottles of water from the bar when it's open and they invariably act surprised when you ask for 6bottles, despite it being hot and he hotel being a base for cycling trips.

Review 34:Room facilities were good and location was an excellent base for a cycling holiday

Review 35:Did not find anything we did not like about this hotel resort.

Review 36:Fabulous grounds, friendly helpful staff, great to have separate adult pool bar and restaurant.Beautifully set out apartments, we did not feel we were staying in a tower Hotel/rooms were spotless. Convenient local bus to Port de Polenza and Alcudia.

Review 37:Very busy in the adult only restaurant , and staff and guests got in each others way a lot going to and from the terrace. A window bay could be removed to alleviate this flow problem.

Review 38:Everything really was of a pretty good standard. We had a small problem with a leak in our bathroom (flooded from unit above) but their technical staff came and sorted it out within 10 mins of telephoning reception. The All inclusive arrangements were very good. Included were some decent bottles of wine and good spirits and liqueurs. Food was varied in a good way so there was something for all tastes , including healthy choices. This is also in my opinion , the best part of the island , with quality resorts , and good walking in the Tramuntana mountains within easy reach.

Review 39:Our room was quiet but gloomy and a bit dingy especially in the bathroom which was disappointing.

Review 40:Excellent range of activities available with very friendly, enthusiastic animation team around to help.

Review 41:Lovely setting ,plenty of choice at buffet , with wonderful freshly made on the spot , produce ,always served by friendly staff and lots to do in the resort ..well run hobby club helped keep adults and children entertained

Review 42:The first night we were downgraded to a poor noisy single room with a bed missing a leg, this because the suite we had booked wasn't available. However we were still charged the full rate and the staff made clear this was on negotiable. Disgraceful. I don't think we were the only family to be affected in this way judging by the queues at the customer service desk and the comments I heard. We were instead offer other compensation eg a trip or a hire car which we didn't want need. I asked for a sports massage but the customer service desk didn't book it for me. I'd better things to do than queue all day sorting that out. The staff were lovely and the food good. I hired a great bike there too. But not planning to return because of the room fiasco.

Review 43:By hotel's information from 'booking.com' they show they have mini kitchen , but there's nothing. but you can borrow mini kettle with 5 euro deposit. And Internet connection was poor.

Review 44:At restarunt or in the bar or cleaning team all the staff was mostly helpful and . Also great Location with bus stop just in front of hotel's enter that connected with Alcudia and Sa calobra.(Bus number 352)

Review 45:Reception was significantly understaffed with long queues on most occasions. Only one receptionist on arrival - took almost an hour to check in. Also staff on reception in particular wasn't very friendly - rest of the staff were lovely. Finally, the children's evening entertainment was pretty dreadful, sad to say.

Review 46:Surroundings - very green and well kept; children facilities were great too - baby play pool was a hit and very much appreciated the daily shuttle bus to Pollentia beach.

Review 47:Why are people still allowed to put towels on sunbeds and then not sit there?! At lunchtime hardly any beds were used but there were towels on all of them!! Not a massive problem as we were out and about a lot.

Review 48:The staff were absolutely amazing from the bar staff and outdoor area, Jose, Miguel and team through to the staff in the restaurant, Paco and team. Our daughter has Coeliacs and Mario in the kitchen met her each night to show her what she could or could not eat and would make her something extra if there was not enough for her. Massive thank you to all the staff for making our stay such a good one. Also, lots of activities to keep you busy, loved the free windsurfing lesson!

Review 49:Our room (mate 2) was so old. The bathroom was pretty awful and both the bathroom and the bedroom needs a refurb. It was also not very clean, I never got new beach towels, the coffee and tea was never replaced when we had finished it and on one occasion we had no loo roll so had to go looking for some!). It was definitely not 4 star. The beach was awful. They had piled up seaweed on the beach and it absolutely stank. Last year we used the beach every day this year we couldn't as the smell of drains was too strong. Also the food was ok but really not that good and there were so many flies on the food it was off putting

Review 50:Thé staff were very friendly and the room my parents stayed in (Eros 201) was wonderful (clean and very comfortable and nicely appointed)

Review 51:I just thought a lot of it was average, the family village rooms were dated and need some love and the bathrooms are very tired. Food was nice but not enough selection and lots of flys

Review 52:Great pool, nice staff, nice mix of nationalities.

Review 53:Free WiFi service was poor and must be improved.

Review 54:1. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. 2. Family friendly hotel and the animation team was excellent 3. The food and dinning experience was very good (for both adults and children) 4. The swimming pool was ideal for both adults and children

Review 55:We had a bad start to our holiday when we arrived at Pollentia we were told that there has been an overbooking and we would have to move to another hotel for 2 days. They expressed that it would be a like for like 4 star hotel. When we got there it was sub-standard 3 star. Although we booked our holiday on bed & breakfast only. To compensate the Manager of the Club Pollentia, 'Maxine', offered us an upgrade to half board at the 3 Star hotel & when we returned back to the Pollentia we were upgraded to all inclusive.

Review 56:I stayed in the adults only section which was free of screaming children. The website is only a fraction of what the hotel looks like. It was more impressive with your own eyes. The grounds were bigger than you think & they were well kept. Location was great to visit port d'alcudia, Port Pollentia & Can Picafort.

Review 57:Some staff very miserable, gym and sauna very outdated for this type of hotel. evening enertainment average, need more variety of foods in the restaurant's

Review 58:hotel is massive with very nice gardens and pool area. excellent location to Puerto pollensa and alcudia. best hotel in the area.

Review 59:It was suppose to be an adult area only. Lack of space enabled young children to be bedded all around the bedroom area. Google map was useless and the resort was badly lit at night to spot from car. Need a lighted up sign board

Review 60:Nothing really but the wifi definetly has to be improved.

Review 61:A wonderful place with an ever so helpful staff who all spo9ke several languages. Lots of things to do, very varied for all kinds of tastes and moods, fantastic "quiet" part for people who just wanted to relax, excellent massage and the food was very varied and very good.

Review 62:The pool towels provided were not replaced and there was no hut for them to be changed over as normally expected. The wifi only works in lobby which is a shame.

Review 63:The food selection was very good and exceeded expectations. Amazing drinks served as part of all inclusive. Evening and day entertainment was thoroughly enjoyable for children and adults.

Review 64:Standard rooms are too small for a family of three, luckily we were moved to a village room on our second night!

Review 65:Really good place if you have teenage children as you are not worried they might wander off into town! Everything they need is on site and with all inclusive they don't need any money!

Review 66:We did not choose this hotel for the evening entertainment, as we are too old and serious for this sort of thing, but actually we did go to some of it and it was really enjoyable. We liked the quiet atmosphere of the adult-only areas of the hotel. The grounds were pretty, as were the surroundings. The food was better than expected, and staff were generally very friendly and helpful.

Review 67:Reception staff were not so nice as the other staff; bathroom was not so clean (full of hairs and the cleaning done poorly)

Review 68:amazing breakfast, full variety of food; nice helping staff.

Review 69:Most of the staff are excellent particularly those working in the bars and restaurants. However they are let down by the management team and reception team a touch service from these people.

Review 70:Excellent facilities and brilliant food represent great value for money.

Review 71:To improve the otherwise beautiful pool area and bar it could have been power hosed at night as it was quite dirty and stained.

Review 72:The staff were excellent, especially the waiters (Jose Antonio and Rafa). The all inclusive was brilliant, haven't had better anywhere else.

Review 73:Food not great with flies in the dining room. Restrictions on where you can eat with children were not explained when booking the resort and the staff weren't entirely clear during our stay. Too much competition for sunbed (7am!) and a leak in the bathroom that left a constant puddle. Often there weren't enough staff serving so waited a long time for food/drinks. Built with additional water features which are pretty but lead to a lot of mosquitos.

Review 74:Plenty of things for kids to do & nicely set out complex & size. All staff seemed to speak 4 languages and the resort was very European.

Review 75:Th hotel was a little too out of the way for our liking, and the beach wasn't great. Would have been nicer to be nearer to alcudia resort and beach. We also found the maid service poor - towels rarely changed, bed sheets not changed, floor not swept.

Review 76:Loved the facilities on offer! Great pools, gorgeous food! A really relaxing holiday by the pool soaking up the sun.

Review 77:Seemed from hotel that beach nearby was usable as sun bathing and swim area but not the case. Beach rocky and only usable for activities

Review 78:OrganisEd and efficency throughout stay. Excellent advise available from hobby club including everything from buses to bikes to markets

Review 79:Some times the internet signal was poor but as it was free I can't complain too much! The entertainment was ok.

Review 80:The tennis courts! Only €2 the hire the racket so reasonably priced! Adults only area was fabulous! Being a teacher with no children of my own I just wanted some peace and quiet and it's exactly what I got! Food was excellent! Polite staff and we enjoyed the free bus to the beach, pick up's were 1 and 4.30 so sometimes we made our own way back if these didn't suit and the bus was only €1.55 so wasn't really a problem! Alcudia market was good on the Tuesday €1.55 bus and we also went to Palma for the day €5 each way and that was fun, 1 hour journey! Great location between Alcudia and pollensa!

Review 81:Could not use the big balcony in the evening because of the terrible noise from frogs. The new spa next to the swimmingpool was always crowed with children

Review 82:The food is really good and the staff reasonable service-minded Nice newly renovated room

Review 83:Rooms appear to be tired and would benefit from an upgrade Some guests unfortunately 'banked' the billiard pool and table tennis all evening so perhaps a rota system should be introduced? The amount of alcohol served at every time of the day was surprisingly high and more healthier alternatives should be offered.

Review 84:Swimming pool and eating facilities are fantastic although staff should play a more active role of reminding guests to be respectful of others, particularly around the pool side.

Review 85:Having to pay for water and not getting a sunbed as all were taken by 8.00am by both pools. Shower head faulty/poor and bathroom in general needed updating Location in maxima block was often smelly through sewage perhaps?

Review 86:WiFi, food, air con, room size, adults only areas.

Review 87:The evening buffet wasn't very good.

Review 88:All members of staff were very friendly and helpful, the main pool was large, the landscaping attractive and the breakfast buffet wonderfully comprehensive.

Review 89:The rooms needed updating, very old and tired and for that level of money they must start to re invest in updating this resort

Review 90:All inclusive package was good but you still had to pay extra for some key brands

Review 91:Sharing info with staff about things not working, for example, the air conditioning and safety deposit box and nothing being done about it all holiday.

Review 92:Very helpful and friendly staff. A choice of sports to try each day for free.

Review 93:We don't think we got the room that was pictured - the balcony pictured was clearly from a different more expensive villa/room. But frankly the kids didn't care.

Review 94:Good facilities and food - kids meeting other kids. Nice pools.

Review 95:Only issues we had were the wifi in our part of the complex had very poor connection and when we went for dinner in the evening I was made to change into longer shorts when other people in the restaurant were in clothing a lot shorter.

Review 96:Really lovely hotel! Loads of amazing facilities and things to do, well situated and good is amazing!

Review 97:My only problem in this hotel was that our housekeeper didn't change our bed sheets for whole stay! We stayed 7 nights and after 4 th night we even striped the bedsheet away from the bed ( for me clear message to get it replaced) to come back in the afternoon and find the same sheet again! Bathrooms are bit dated too.

Review 98:Stuff was welcoming and helpfull. Breakfast was amazing.

Review 99:The room is very old style.

Review 100:The hotel offers a half board/full board or all inclusive which are very interesting! There are 3 restaurants and one of them is adult only so guests who want to enjoy a quiet stay can eat there. The meals are not bad and very various. The hotel also offers a lot of activities such as horse riding, diving, sorking and has some shows for kids.

Review 101:Pollentia Resort is very nice place near to Alcùdia, good location, fantastic staff, nice food, great evening programs, the price for apartment and half pension was absolutely ok. Big and clean room, they was changing towels every single day, they gave us 2 big beach towel as well and they offers lots of activities from billiard, basketball, massages, bike hiring, tennis, golf etc...

Review 102:Food was shockingly bad in all restaurants & breakfast was covered in flies. There are Lots of mosquitos at this hotel unfortunately- even inside - bring lots of repellant. The standard rooms are really basic, not even close to 4* standard.

Review 103:Outdoor/pool areas were great Staff were friendly Close to Alcudia & Pollenca towns & beaches

Review 104:We spent one week in Mallorca, saw 3 different hotels. This one was the best. So good that we cancelled the reservation in the 3rd one to take one night at Pollentia. For us it was more than 4*. Really nice staff, clean rooms etc. We will be back for sure

Review 105:Busy road between hotel and the sea - if you're unlucky, you can end up in room you won't like because of road sounds. No beach next to hotel. No staff reaction to kids in adults only zone. Beware of mosquitos!

Review 106:Great location. Adults only area (with pool and restaurant). Good atmosphere, no annoying guests. Good room, though it had some years of use. Superb, fantastic, great food!

Review 107:The rooms were in lovely grounds all spaced out nicely. Lots of choice of food and drink. The indoor pool made a difference; even though the weather was lovely the children spent most of their time in it!

Review 108:Room cleaning ment making the beds, nothing else. Highway went by the room. Highway was between the room and the beach. Hotels beach was not swimmable due the seaweed.

Review 109:Pool area nice. Staff friendly. Peaceful place. Scenery great. Diets were conserned at the restaurant well.

Review 110:nothing really

Review 111:The AI is not like in other hotels, the food was outstanding, and the drinks were proper bottled and branded, San Miguel beer etc. The wine was by the bottle and included brands like Faustino and sparkling Cava. Place was spotlessly clean and staff so friendly and helpful. Had both a heated and unheated outdoor pools

Review 112:Slow wifi

Review 113:Great resort, great location right opposite kitesurfing beach. Breakfast buffet amazing! Staff very friendly. Quite expensive but we booked last minute so that may be why. Great for kids!!

Review 114:The hotel was perfect for us, traveling with our 8 month daughter we felt safe and very comfortable. The food was nice, staff lovely, could t do enough, couldn't fault it.

Review 115:Eaten alive by Mosquitos Indoor pool was out of action Outdoor pool was too deep to have any space with a young child/baby Our 'suite' was awful - really dark - the baby cried every time we went to go into the room until we'd turned what poor lighting there was on The bathroom was awful - tiny, grubby and not suitable to bath a baby (one of our resort criteria) Water had two temps - freezing or scolding In the end we booked elsewhere nearly doubling our costs, reception staff didn't ask why we were leaving less than half way through our stay Location is tricky, we thought via Taxi's it'd be OK in terms of evening meals, but better to stay closer to shops/restaurants etc Total disaster and a real disappointment - there are better value and quality places to stay shops etc

Review 116:Staff were really friendly

Review 117:Adult section looked empty all the time, too many people trying to eat in the other restaurant, especially corporate events

Review 118:Bar staff very friendly, good food, a pleasant experience

Review 119:Everything about the resort was excellent - staff, facilities, food and drink and location. my family had a great time and we will return next year!!!

Review 120:We had been double booked and on arrival had to stay 1 night at another hotel. This was only sorted out because we insisted on being relocated into the hotel we had booked.

Review 121:facilities for families were excellent the rooms were spacious and comfortable

Review 122:I was staying in E11 and it seemed like the housekeeping had a station nearby because every morning I could hear them talking loudly. It was somewhat disruptive on the Sunday morning when I wanted to sleep in after a big night out.

Review 123:Delicious breakfast buffet. Great facilities. Comfortable bed. Helpful and prompt service from staff - a lovely stay!

Review 124:Not a lot of authenticity in the resort

Review 125:Big resort complex with swimming pools, bar, sport activities. 5 min by car from Alcudia city centre which is a really nice city. Staff friendliness and big car park

Review 126:Service at reception and hobby club was hopeless. Severely understaffed and unfriendly staff. Bit far from the main beaches and town and no transport service after 830 PM. If you are with family the facilities are good but for a couple there are better places to be.

Review 127:Quality and the choice of food forBreakfast and dinner was very good. Lot of healthy food options. Couple of interesting shows in the night.

Review 128:During our stay there was a program "manpower" that offered classes of yoga, running, aerobics and other sports. But it was available only for a small group of German tourists. I would suggest the hotel to provide similar sport classes for all visitors of the hotel. That would make the hotel even better than it is now, and I assume many visitors would like that because many of them come to do some sports.

Review 129:Location, staff, hotel territory, nature near the hotel, food, all was great. Special thanks to tennis teacher Simon! He is a great teacher! It is a perfect place for people who like to do sport, play tennis, ride bikes and do windsurfing.

Review 130:A real restaurant ( instead of buffets) would improve the club. An adult-only restaurant is perceived as negative

Review 131:We were in the newer part of the club(eros) which was modern , clean and quiet

Review 132:very good food, beautiful and big swimming pool, possibility to rent a bike, play tennis, table tennis, varioues activities, very good public transport to Alcudia and Polelntia

Review 133:Everything was truly fantastic, staff couldn't do enough for you, food was so very tasty. Great facilities and truly brilliant location. Could not recommend this hotel enough!!
