Reviews for Hotel Hospederia San Francisco

Review 1:Breakfast was not great, but it usually isn't in Spanish hotels like this. Plenty of places nearby for breakfast.

Review 2:Very relaxing place, very convenient for the old town. Nice rooms and garden.

Review 3:WiFi works only in lobby, but it's not a big issue.

Review 4:Highly recommendable! Everything's perfect. Great tips from Isabel and Carmen-very personal hosts.

Review 5:Nothing!!

Review 6:The monastery, location and very kind, helpfull people. She gived us excellent suggestions to visit and the beautiful, very good restaurant! The breakfust was E 1.50

Review 7:Very inaccessible by car. No staff on site after 8pm and when we were there, there seemed to be no other guests and most of the lights downstairs and all of the lights in our corridor were switched off which made it feel very lonely and eerie. We asked about the lights and were told they were switched off at 9pm. We then decided to check out early. Car park charges were not on the bill and they insisted on us paying cash. The breakfast was the worst of the entire holiday - very poor.

Review 8:The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Very handy for the old town and bars and restaurants We used their car park (3 streets away - NOT on site) @€5 per night which was secure

Review 9:Tranquil setting. Friendly staff. Central location, well positioned for visiting all sites in the town. Lovely town, young man in the tourist office was extremely helpful with information on Priego and with information on our other planned stopovers. Recommended.

Review 10:I realise that we were british but some form of translation - even if it was explanation of how and where we could park. As its in the town centre there is minimal parking outside, we didn't know where we could go and this was an uphill struggle. The breakfast was poor, I assume that is what gives it the low star rating which is a shame. It is hard giving negatives as we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it and plan to go back to Priego De Cordoba on a regular visit.

Review 11:It was right in the centre of town. The relaxed atmosphere and welcoming attitude of the staff. The room had excellent views and was of a great standard for two star - we have stayed in much worse four star.

Review 12:Nice historic Convent with lots of character. Good parking facility. Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast.

Review 13:Don't speak English

Review 14:Had a leak in the ceiling and they changed our room no problem

Review 15:There was no wi-fi until the next morning when we complained, the tv remote didn't work (but when the staff tried it worked perfectly fine and i ended up feeling stupid), there's no parking available anywhere and the streets were awfully narrow, so when they offered the opportunity use their parking for 5 euros we took it without hesitation. For that, add the extra parking fee to the room price because you will pay it, trust me.

Review 16:It's clearly a facebook hotel, with great looks to take pictures, but the beds are really confortable (the best pillows I've ever found in a hotel), everything is spotless clean and the view is incredible. The staff is very helpfull in advising restaurants, in particular one near the main square and the hotel parking, that is expensive but the food is exquisite, gourmet delicious, overall money worthy.

Review 17:The breakfast was bad. Old bread and very old and dry croissants (media-lunas). I could not eat them. There was no natural yoghurt for the cereals and the orangejuice was not fresh in a country with so many orangetrees.

Review 18:The building was nice and the view was excellent.

Review 19:The hard beds. Difficult to get to down one way streets. Lack of information how to get there. Parking is about 500 meters away and you have to get to the hotel for the key. So, required a walk to find hotel, get key for parking. Back to car, drive to parking. Park car, drag luggage uphill to hotel. With better information, could have drove to hotel, dropped luggage, got key and parked car. Hotel informed of ways to improve experience.

Review 20:Lovely old building in a lovely old town

Review 21:Nothing. Agree it was a little tricky to find. We had a sat nav which pretty much found it but beware the narrow streets, of course!

Review 22:Lovely peaceful location. Beautiful patio area. Great buffet breakfast. Great view from our room towards the mountains. Lovely to stay in such a unique place.

Review 23:Nothing really, but worth noting that the lift doesn't go up to the top floor so don't ask for a room up there if you have any mobility issues or would struggle to carry your bag up 1 flight of stairs!

Review 24:Great location just a few minutes walk from the old town in Priego and also to the tourist office and loads of bars/restaurants. Small but spotlessly clean room-top floor has good views over the hills. Unusual hotel as it's a converted convent (or monastery?) and has a lovely internal courtyard which would be a really peaceful space to sit and get some shade in the summer. Basic but adequate breakfast provided- can't complain considering how little we paid for it.

Review 25:Tricky to get the car to the hotel because of narrow, hard to find streets. We had to park in the main street and walk a bit to the hotel.

Review 26:Lovely hotel in an old monastery. Very clean, beautiful courtyard, lovely in all ways. Breakfast included in the old refectory that was a pleasure to eat in.

Review 27:The hotel is a short walk from the beautiful sights of Priego and is in a beautiful old restored building that was wonderful to see. It took a while for the room to heat up (winter!) but luckily there was heat and it did! Room 2 could use a coat of paint, but the view and the hotel itself were magnificent and I'm glad we stayed there! Breakfast buffet was among the best I've seen as well. All in all, a stunning building and good spot to stay!

Review 28:Note: C/Buen Suceso extremely narrow! No parking in front of the Hotel, hotel parking with key is in c/Pasillo de la Zorra. The only one free overnight parking is c/San Luis.

Review 29:A romantic cloister. Good breakfast buffet from 08:30 but we could get it from 08:00.

Review 30:Beautiful old building with new, modern rooms. Very clean. Adequate breakfast. Excellent location for seeing the old quarter, with several restaurants close by. Staff very helpful and obliging.

Review 31:unfortunately the wifi wasn't working while we were there.

Review 32:excellent location, beautiful building with patio. Our room had a marvelous view over the surrounding countryside. The manager of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped and relatively new.

Review 33:Very difficult to find. My husband is disabled and we had to walk a longway to find the hotel. There was no disabled parking nearby.

Review 34:Loved the views from our room - and the hotel itself was very unusual, being joined to the church

Review 35:It was very difficult to find and the one way system is a nightmare. We were there for the main fiesta weekend so parking was almost impossible. We were given help to find a free public car park but unloading and loading the car in the square outside was a real problem.

Review 36:The conversion of the monastery was very well done. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The cloister and dining room area were beautiful. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast. The staff were very good and helpful. Priego is well worth a visit.

Review 37:Not easy to find. Best to arrive at siesta time so you can ask the way.

Review 38:Position for sightseeing. Wonderful conversion to a hotel with modern facilities. Secure parking available. The minimal staff were efficient and friendly, breakfast a fair continental one.

Review 39:the most beautiful setting and building, it was breathtaking in atmosphere, a hidden treasure. the renovations were only completed last summer and the courtyard is typically Andalucian with fountain and orange trees. the rooms are basic but comfortable and the views are lovely.

Review 40:Everything was fine.

Review 41:Large room, clean bathroom.

Review 42:Very welcoming, and a chance to stay in a memorable historic setting

Review 43:Breakfast superb, surroundings and ambience of the monastery where wonderful.
