Reviews for Hotel Oroel

Review 1:It's written that they have iron service but they don't have iron table! And when we asked for table they even make it worse: "we offer iron but we don't offer iron table" it's like offering tv without remote control. Staff cannot speak English We asked by booking.com messaging system to join two bed into one bed but they didn't

Review 2:too coach orentated, impersonal staff. poor sound proofing between rooms mini-bar empty, paintwork grubby. food poor,no variety & little choice. breakfast terrible.

Review 3:handy garage parking, reasonable enternal aspect weather permitting.

Review 4:It was cold and we couldn't adjust the heat. The bathroom grout around tub was needing a redo.

Review 5:The room was clean and spacious, nicely decorated.

Review 6:Not a big deal - the bathroom is a little on the cramped side. Strange that the dinner menu was entirely made up of arrozes.

Review 7:Good location - convenient for exploring the restaurants and bars in town

Review 8:Man at front desk not that welcoming.

Review 9:Very clean, great value for money, excellent location with a 10 min walk to the beautiful town centre. Wonderful surprise to find a medieval fort around the corner. Delightful town centre.

Review 10:Slightly tired décor. As in many continental hotels, lacks tea / coffee facilities.

Review 11:Excellent value and location with pool and large social spaces. Secure parking,

Review 12:Underground carpark with steep access, if your car has a low suspension there is a possibility of grounding

Review 13:Super location, large comfortable rooms, and great staff. Brilliant breakfast

Review 14:Climate control was a little warm and we couldn't adjust it. (minor issue)

Review 15:Nice pool, Great restaurant. Really good restaurant. Did I mention a nice restaurant.

Review 16:Grouting around bath disgusting. Wardrobe smelly and paintwork chipped with some attempt to cover in a dispatching paint. Hairs on floor. When we enquired if there was a better room the staff were unhelpful and said they were all the same.

Review 17:Wifi just worked in my top floor room. Parking in street could get busy in peak times.

Review 18:Old fort and centre of town 5 mins walk. Bars/Cafe opposite. Room was very roomy.

Review 19:On our first visit one of the beds was very lumpy. On our return in a different room the beds were comfortable but the bathroom was reduced in size for some reason. I think a large person would have trouble using the toilet.

Review 20:Well situated. Spacious room with Airco. Ideal stopping place and would like to spend more time in the area.

Review 21:Nothing

Review 22:The location was great and the outlook for the rooms captured the surrounding Pyrenees mountains. There was an excellent pool and outdoor area and a good restaurant and bar.

Review 23:Poor wifi access on the top floor.

Review 24:The hotel is readily and easily accessible close to the town with an easy walk to restaurants and bars with a history and interests making it an enjoyable stopover.

Review 25:We found the rooms very hot but then we are not used to central heating.

Review 26:Hotel is fine for overnight stop. Parking is relatively easy in the street behind the hotel; our Land Rover was too big to get into the hotel garage. Staff friendly and efficient. Large rooms with seating area.

Review 27:Car park is VERY tight, and beware of grounding on the ramps!

Review 28:Good room with lots of space and view of the citadel; great town location with everything within walking distance. Taking the train up to Canfranc was a terrific (and cheap) experience!

Review 29:Doors squeaked. Plumbing bad and decor in bathroom was bad. Noise from other rooms esp when they got up really early for a coach departure.

Review 30:Location. Breakfast reasonable.

Review 31:Poor finish and maintenance in bathroom. Very poor, heated-up but still cold restaurant food. Staff seemed in a hurry to get home. Lucky to get half a glass of beer. Might be a deliberate policy to conserve drinks?

Review 32:Reception staff very helpful

Review 33:Parking in local streets, had to be located but no problem.

Review 34:Basic amenities but 3 beds perfect for us; close to town centre, fridge, pool great to cool off. Town great with great value bars and restaurants.

Review 35:Did not choose the breakfast buffet so cannot comment, however the pricing seems quite high.

Review 36:Spacious room. Very clean. Our visit was not at peak season nobody has to fight over the pool and Jacuzzi. Walking distance to city centre area. Quiet area with easy parking options. Would love to come back.

Review 37:Not impressed being given a card for the underground car park that didn`t work, it doesn`t improve your mood when you`ve been riding a motorcycle all day in 30 degree heat wearing full leathers to then be walking to and fro from the car park entrance to the lobby, and then have the guy on the desk question whether I was using the right card! Air conditioning was VERY poor, a hand held mini fan would have done better!!, we left it on for hours and notice no difference in the humidity and heat in the room at all, we had to resort to leaving the window open in the end. Shower hose/head was positively dangerous, the outer metal of the hose was split in two with sharp edges, also unable to hang the head up due to no bracket on the head. Jacuzzi had a large amount of fluff/hair/scum in it, needed a good clean.

Review 38:Great location, nice pool, good breakfast, modern decor. Lifts were quick.

Review 39:The bathroom was very small with an over thee bath shower! The bath was sooo slippery my husband slipped and landed on the floor hurting his back on the bidet and his shoulder on the partition wall! The staff were not interested in helping and we still had to pay in full!! I have filled out a complaints form!! Would not return or recommend!

Review 40:The hotel was in a good location and the bedroom was large!

Review 41:Leaving could of stayed little longer.

Review 42:Good room with nice view. Location handy for everything local. Nice park walk running around back of hotel. Motorcycle secure parking in hotel basement. Helpful staff . Nice having swimming pool.

Review 43:Very difficult to improve on our stay in Hotel Oreol. Pleasant, helpful staff, secure parking, room was very comfortable overlooking the pool, lovely dinner at a very reasonable price and a good breakfast before departing. It is close to the places of interest to tourists. I would happily recommend this hotel to friends.

Review 44:The very poor water temperature adjustment in the shower, the tired floor rugs.

Review 45:The location, the room size, the bed and the pillows, the strong wi-fi reception.

Review 46:Hotel bar ambience not great. Better value breakfast at café across the road from hotel. Rear bedrooms overlooking the pool area at the rear of the hotel are preferable than those on the front of the hotel overlooking road.

Review 47:Good location near to centre of town. Parking in hotel car park. Balconies outside of the bedrooms. Hotel staff helpful with good English language skills. Good value for money.

Review 48:Nothing negative at all. Superb value for money.

Review 49:Modern hotel with spacious and modern rooms at a great rate and very friendly and helpful staff. Short walk from the Cathedral, the citadel and the downtown shopping area. A couple of good cafes/breakfast restaurants just across the street.

Review 50:We have used this hotel several times, as its central to our holiday travels. Its near the centre of the town though just far enough away to ensure peace and quiet, for us its perfect.

Review 51:Nothing to report.

Review 52:Central location which is easy to find and garage parking on site. Room provided was large very clean with a very comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast with excellent choice.

Review 53:Nothing to speak of except that my bed was a little creaky on this occasion.

Review 54:This is the third time that I have stayed at this hotel and I like its position on the Main Street of Jaca, an interesting and friendly town.. The cheapest rooms on the 7th floor are described as 'attics' but they are comfortable and spacious enough with all the facilities required including air conditioning. The staff are friendly and speak English. Breakfast in the cafe is good value.

Review 55:Bed had wire sticking out from mattress which could have caused a problem. Had different room on return journey. Everything fine.

Review 56:Conveniently situated in quiet area. Comfortable room. Would use this stopping place again and possibly stay longer as Jaca is worth a longer visit.

Review 57:bathroom tight, although well fitted and paper in bath/shower area hence paper peeling and untidy

Review 58:room size good, 3 minute walk to centre town good breakfast

Review 59:The temperature inside the room sometimes was too low.

Review 60:Al

Review 61:bad wi-fi, empty mini-bar

Review 67:Being sent back to reception to buy a voucher before entering the restaurant for the buffet dinner.

Review 68:The location by the beach.

Review 69:Large comfortable room, great pool area, central location.

Review 70:Very helpful staff. We got a huge room with kitchen which we were surprised by. We enjoyed the swimming pool and location.

Review 80:Location, value

Review 81:Big rooms, good facilities, close to centre

Review 82:Breakfast just ok, choice a little limited.

Review 83:Great room, very large with comfy beds & balcony. Pretty central location.

Review 84:I believe the pool is open in summer months only, this being a mountain town.

Review 85:lovely huge room, comfortable bed, nice view, sitting area with couches

Review 86:Bathrooms need updating. Very poor wifi

Review 87:Big room and good location. Parking available.

Review 88:Staff were unfriendly.

Review 89:wifi hard to use.

Review 90:staff super packed breakfast excellent.

Review 91:Excellent hotel with secure underground parking.

Review 92:Car park ramps very steep for loaded car. Slippery bath with no bath mat.

Review 93:Most things

Review 94:whilst we realise you have no control over the noise guests make this particular evening the guests directly above were noisy at 0100 and 0630

Review 95:Well located for the town centre and secure underground parking, which is great when travelling with motorcycles.

Review 96:Helpfulness of staff. Evening meal very good, and excellent value for money. Very wide choice at breakfast time.

Review 97:Breakfast was very expensive

Review 98:Location of the hotel was good for shops and places to eat

Review 99:looked slightly dated and car park is tight.

Review 100:Good location to the town, easy walking distance, clean and comfortable.

Review 101:nothing

Review 102:every thing

Review 103:Nothing.

Review 104:Easy to find location. Close to centre of Old Town. Secure underground parking. Large bedroom. Furnished balcony with view of mountains.

Review 105:View from the spacious room. Outdoor pool and garden. The city itself.

Review 106:Very little

Review 107:Great hotel in an oasis of a town after a long motor cycle trip. Off road parking, under cover. Welcoming staff.

Review 108:Great location and lovely big room. Have stayed before and will use it again when we are in the area.

Review 109:It was stated as a four star hotel but the facility was a 2 star hotel. The room was like a dormitory. The beds extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows were like bricks. When I asked for a more comfortable pillow I was told there were only similar pillows. The air conditioning did not work. I went down to talk to the front desk because they did not answer the phone. The uninterested agent came to the room and touched the vent and said, "Oh well, open the window." The next morning my husband was bike riding and went to the breakfast at 5:30 am. They would not let him have the included (very poor selection) breakfast because he did not have the paper ticket given to us at check-in. For all this we paid over $225 dollars. It was worth about $50.

Review 110:Nothing. Its only a 5 minute walk to the old town. If you want older world charm then this may not be for you. But we had 4 nights in Jaca and the good size of the rooms and views to countryside easily compensated.

Review 111:The hotel had modern, quite large and comfortable rooms. Ours looked out at the nearby citadel and the mountains beyond. Its only a short 5 minute walk to the old picturesque old town with plenty of available parking if you have a car. The staff were quite helpful. Jaca is a good base to explore the nearby Pyrenees and other parts of Aragon.

Review 112:Waiting in a que for breakfast for 15 minutes to find it was a coach trip and we could go straight in!

Review 113:Secure parking. Nice breakfast. Easy walk to the old centre. Spacious room.

Review 114:There were a lot of children staying that night and it was a bit noisy with them running and shouting in the corridors, especially when we had an early start the following morning.

Review 115:Within walking distance of many restaurants and sites.

Review 116:Unwelcoming staff, very poor service in the cafeteria,it didn't open until 8.30 pm. Trolley noise in the corridor.

Review 117:Ideal location for my journey between UK and Spain via the Pyrenees

Review 118:This review is based on experience staying in an attic room. Seriously, the inspector who has given this hotel 4 stars, has never had a chance to stay and inspect the conditions up there. It is definitely not any 4 stars standards, 2 stars would be more appropriate. First of all, the shower. It is for midgets. I'm 1.79 cm and my husband is even taller, and I couldn't have a normal shower there with a straight back as literally the ceiling wall prevents you from standing straight. I have never ever experienced this kind of shower experience in any hotels or hostels I've ever stayed. Secondly, our bed frame (curiously) has been making very weird sounds all the time. I don't know what it was, but it freaked me out. So it is either there are some bugs living inside of it, either there is some spooky stuff going on there. Following the second point, in the morning I've found a massive bug bit on my neck. It has never ever happened to me ever in any other hotels\hostels. Very nasty experience overall, even though the normal room there we were placed afterwards for so much more better. The hotel is super outdated and it feels like you are travelling back to 60s.

Review 119:Nothing much. The only thing what I liked was that we have been given another room after we complained.

Review 120:Very poorly cooked food we had a steak it looked like and tasted like the sole of a shoecovered in batter. Iwould never advise another traveller the eat in the hotel restarunt Very poor cook!

Review 121:The hotel was convenient for route we were travelling.

Review 122:Noise from adjoining room and would prefer duvets to sheets & blankets

Review 123:Location near centre of Jaca, relaxed atmosphere with no frills but comfortable accommodation
