Reviews for Hotel Es Port

Review 1:Very good conversion of an old building into a hotel, staff were very friendly and helpfull. The location is ideal and in close proximity all of Port Soller attractions and facilities

Review 2:Hotel Es Port is the perfect hotel in a stunning location on the island. The hotel is an olive mill which has been converted to a lovely hotel. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably manicured. The buffet breakfast is fabulous with an abundance of choices..all delicious. There is a beautiful pool, tennis courts and a spa. We had a perfect vacation in this glorious hotel.

Review 3:Breakfast fair/good rashers went from really well done to half cooked fried eggs coagulated every day. but evening food very poor eat in the dining room first evening and went out to eat the remaining nights

Review 4:location spa outside area

Review 5:Having recently become a single parent, I was looking to take my 9 year old daughter on her first foreign holiday - quite tricky to find something to suit us both 24/7! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made a brilliant choice and it was very apparent that this hotel is family-owned and run. We felt safe and relaxed; the staff were efficient and friendly; the environment and facilities were spotless with great attention to detail; the gardens and pool area stunning and the original building beautifully preserved. Peacefully situated, yet only a few minutes walk from the beach/seafront amenities - for what more could we ask? I would happily recommend this lovely place to anyone and we thank the Montis family and their team for a truly memorable and happy holiday.

Review 6:I don't think people should be allowed to claim sun loungers by putting towels down before they are ready to use them. Also if the go for lunch etc (more than 30 min) they should remove their towels to allow other guests to use those sun loungers. I think this is a very selfish practice.

Review 7:Peaceful, tranquil atmosphere. Indoor pool, opening onto lovely garden. Lots of space between sun loungers in garden.

Review 8:The receptionist was rude and unwelcoming! The room was supposed to be ready by 2pm but we had to wait 30 mins. She was rude to another guest in front of us! The meals were buffet style but no one bothered to tell us this or show us the format.

Review 9:We enjoyed a pleasant nights stay. The building was unusual and the grounds were very pretty. It was very restful.

Review 10:Very poor air conditioning in the bedroom. We were told there had been a malfunction but even after repair the system was inadequate.

Review 11:The hotel and its surroundings are outstanding. There are many steps to get to the pool or the town which would make it unsuitable for some. We would return.

Review 12:There is a nespresso machine in the room, I paid top dollar for the junior suite, being able to use said machine without having to pay €1.70 per coffee would have been nice, even one coffee per day! Water in the room would also be nice. Wifi in rooms should be available.

Review 13:The hotel is right in the port near all the restaurants. But behind the hotel is countryside which is lovely. Breakfast was great. We had a junior suite which was big but not special otherwise, apart from the large terrace area.

Review 14:The Junior Suite wasn't what we would call 'luxurious' - it was quirky and spacious but could have done with a more 'expensive' feel to it. We were slightly disappointed with this and book a superior double in future.

Review 15:Excellent location, peaceful and beautiful hotel, unique style. Perfect for mature adults, ie no noisy children! Good staff who dealt with a complaint we had excellently.

Review 16:It's old world charm coupled with very friendly staff and exceptional food. A place where you could return to time after time with great anticipation.

Review 17:Not enough pram access as steps everywhere needs more ramps

Review 18:Pool is amazing, massive and clean. Buffet breakfast delicious and the outdoor terrace stunning

Review 19:nothing

Review 20:A special and beautiful hotel at a beautiful place (Port de Soller); a nice suite with a quite big balcony; bath products of Korres; breakfast with everything you need - you drink freshly squeezed Orange Juice of Oranges from Valle de Soller!

Review 21:Free wifi was available only in the reception areas, and the signal was variable even then. If you want wifi in your room you have to pay extra, and you also have to pay extra to use the safe deposit box in the room.

Review 22:The location, in a quiet area a couple of minutes walk from the seafront, is perfect. The old part of the Hotel is very beautiful and the gardens are amazing. Lots of different places to sit outside in the sun or the shade. Buffet breakfast good but not outstanding. Really enjoyed our stay (despite disappointing weather) and would book again.

Review 23:Staff seemed a bit pressured at times - especially in the bar area. We usually gave up waiting for them to come to us and would just go up and order at the bar. I probably wouldn't return whilst my children are teenagers. Feel it is more suited to couples.

Review 24:The location, pool and gardens, communal areas

Review 25:Restaurant offers buffet breakfast and buffet dinner but no lunch, only very light bar snacks, disappointing if you want to stay around the hotel all day.

Review 26:Beautiful old house on high ground with extremely well kept, extensive gardens, good facilities, friendly helpful staff. Ten minute walking reach of lovely bay, local tram, beach, marina, shops, restaurants etc. Gentle entertainment.

Review 27:Pool quite a distance from main building, but otherwise quite a pleasant area. We paid for a superior room. Didn't see a standard room, but didn't feel that ours was particularly luxurious! Having said that, it was very clean and everything functioned perfectly.

Review 28:Beautiful old building - sympathetically converted public areas. Five minutes from the town - very convenient. Breakfast and evening buffet both excellent.

Review 29:People smoking on the terraces. Mealtimes are a bit of a scramble - make like the locals an go into dinner later..

Review 30:Welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely room with balcony. Lovely interior. Beautiful, well maintained gardens. The enormous outdoor pool. The enormous gin and tonics!

Review 31:The bedroom was small and not as nicely decorated as the rest of the hotel.

Review 32:The hotel was a short walk to all the lovely restaurants and shops. The hotel decor was very nice and authentic.

Review 33:Shower curtain -would prefer to have glass door. Better ,quieter ,effective air conditioning . Free WIFI in bedrooms rather than just in bar/public areas (as other hotels with similar prices/facilities now provide it free)

Review 34:Good location. Lovely individual hotel with character. Friendly helpful staff Good facilities with lovely outdoor & indoor pools Good choice at breakfast with availability to produce your own fresh orange juice.

Review 35:There is a lot of space, whether it be by the pool or in the gardens, you can always find a quiet spot. Excellent pool area and poolside cafe at reasonable prices. Great food, both dinner and breakfast offer a good choice.

Review 36:We had a Junior Suite in the old part of the hotel which looked newly renovated. We loved all the public areas both inside and out where you could choose to be alone or with other people. Would return but would ask to be in the same part of the hotel.

Review 37:Nothing at all!!! Everything was perfect. We will be back

Review 38:When we arrived we were given an upgrade to the Junior Suite, Room 319. Beautiful room with lovely balcony and views. Would definitely book up again. The breakfast and evening meals were lovely as well. Very close to the beach as well. Perfect location.

Review 39:Pillow comfort was not good Noise from staff early (7am) Sunday morning woke us up

Review 40:Character and decor of hotel was simpathetic to the property and surrounding hills Fascinating building and history

Review 41:There were quite a lot of young children in the pool there were lots of ball games being played as well. Not the safest place to be if you want a quiet swim !

Review 42:Staff, setting. spa area

Review 43:The hotel has an impressive spot above the bay, in beautifully kept grounds. Our rooms were large and comfortable. And our boys (12 and 10) spent hours in the grand pool. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 44:There was nothing to dislike apart from the fact that there were quite a lot of steps which might be a problem to some people.

Review 45:Outdoor pool and lunchtime seating area . Gardens. Indoor pool and facilities. Terrace for breakfast and dinner. Room.

Review 46:As a youngish couple, early 40's, we found the hotel a little quiet with not many people our age range. People tended to be in their late 50's and 60's. This is probably due to their higher expendable income.

Review 47:Upkeep of hotel and grounds excellent. Lovely environment.

Review 48:- Location - Breakfast - Nice decoration - Wellness center - Free parking

Review 49:Delightful character-filled old building with very friendly staff and service

Review 50:A really relaxing place to stay, with friendly staff. The food was of a high standard.

Review 51:Super hotel- so eager to please !!!

Review 52:Location and comfort

Review 53:Fantastic location and setting. We visited a local 5* hotel and to be honest, Hotel Es Port excelled. Hopefully go again.

Review 54:The hotel was absolutely superb - so full of character and the location was fabulous.

Review 55:Service in the evening in the terrace area can take a while!

Review 56:Peaceful, Central. beautiful grounds and lots of places indoors to relax

Review 57:Loved the whole setting, the pool was really fantastic and the buildings were beautiful.

Review 58:bathroom needed updating badly

Review 59:Location and the old building had charm

Review 60:Beauty of hotel building.

Review 61:Insufficient numbers of staff at the bar. Failure to book our taxi to the airport thankfully we did not miss our flight

Review 62:Location and outside space

Review 63:Everything great other than couples traveling with kids taking over the pool in the afternoon; go in the off season when kids are in school

Review 64:We had a room in the old part of the hotel which was rustic and full of character. The back exit takes you to within minutes of the sea front.

Review 65:Poor air conditioning in the bedroom

Review 66:Location

Review 67:Very nice garden with a pool and a lovely bar. Great buffe dinner and very good breakfest.

Review 68:Staff on reception were not particularly helpful

Review 69:Location. Garden. Wonderful pool.

Review 70:Nothing to dislike

Review 71:We got an upgrade to a suite which was spacious beyond belief

Review 72:Located near centre lovely gardens and pool. Loved the old part of the hotel.

Review 73:dinner option was a buffet only but it was good value and plenty of restaurants locally

Review 74:-suite,breakfast buffet,pool,grounds,bar,staff,peace and quiet

Review 75:Excellent Breakfast Warm swimming pool

Review 76:Nothing

Review 77:The garden grounds and overall spaciousness. Food choice and quality is excellent.

Review 78:I found it a bit irksome having to pay extra for the room safe.

Review 79:This was our second visit and, as before, we really appreciated the peace and quiet and plenty of room round the pool.

Review 80:nothing major, but shower needs some curtains as the whole bathroom gets wet when using it.

Review 81:the serenity, the hotel, amazing. The breakfast with all those fresh ingredients was amazing. the whole setup is great for a relaxing vacation. I REALLY WANT TO COME BACK!

Review 82:No complaints and would be happy to return for a further stay in the future.

Review 83:We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The helpful staff were always available when needed but left us in peace to enjoy our stay in the relaxed and stylish surroundings.

Review 84:WiFi was free of charge only in public areas, i.e. in the bar and lobby. In the room, outside terrace and near the spa the free WiFi did not work. This is outdated, in my mind.

Review 85:Splendid hotel in a charming small town. The bar and lobby were excellent especially during our first day, when it was raining.

Review 86:We didn't think the food at the pool bar was up to much.

Review 87:Extensive grounds with plenty of areas to chill out.

Review 88:Fantastic location. Superb hotel and facilities. Wonderful staff and service.

Review 89:Too quiet. Not enough entertainment - one guitarist for part of one evening - who was very good.

Review 90:Beautiful hotel near to the port of Soller.

Review 91:no tea or coffee making facilities in room

Review 92:location and gardens coupled with closeness to the waterfront

Review 93:CLOSE TO PORT EASY WALK

Review 94:One small item - the bedside rugs/mats were poor. It is very minor really

Review 95:Everything was very good. I would go back anytime.

Review 96:No room WiFi. Dinner buffet.

Review 97:The spaciousness of our standard room(208) with balcony.

Review 98:This hotel has everything you need with an incredible atmosphere. I went to Soller to relax and this hotel was perfect for that.
