Review 11:bedroom a little cramped; breakfast rather basic
Review 12:a simple, inexpensive hotel with friendly & helpful owner; handy location, in a 'real' neighborhood you actually can get to by car, but also with walking access to old town & beach; v clean; spacious bathroom; roof terrace (but a bit hard to reach)
Review 13:I had no bad experiences with this hostel.
Review 14:Loved everything, clean rooms, friendly staff, near the beach and bars/restaurants and 10 min by car to the golf. Excellent Hostel would recommend to my friends.
Review 15:Perfect location and Jose luis made you feel like you were in guest in his own home. The rooms were clean and modern but kept the character of the old building. The roof terrace was a real bonus.
Review 16:Nothing
Review 17:An excellent hostal near to the centre with many bars and restaurants nearby. Lovely manager who made me feel welcome and looked after. Enjoyed relaxing on the roof terrace with fantastic views. Near the historic centre
Review 18:Nothing really . We didn't use a car so for a family wanting the beach it would feel like a long walk from the hotel but no problem for us. Street outside hotel can be noisy morning and evening for a short time but for us part of the character of what is a lovely Spanish town.
Review 19:Friendly welcome from the owner who gave us a choice if room. Good location near to points of interest and town centre. Castle etc well worth a visit. Lots of marvellous restaurants and bars to discover. Adequate breakfast with refills always on offer.
Review 20:Like all Spanish white towns car parking is difficult. However Jose Louis has several spaces reserved for guests in front of the Hostal, if you are lucky enough to get one. The bathroom would benefit with a shelf to put your toiletries on and also in the shower cubicle.
Review 21:Jose Louis was very attentive and accommodating, the rooms were cleaned every day and fresh bottles of water were provided free of charge. The Spanish breakfast was excellent and plentiful. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by and the beach is within easy walking distance. We would definitely recommend this Hostal.
Review 22:The shower was a little small, but very strong.
Review 23:The owner is as awesome and accommodating as everyone says. He speaks English and Spanish slowly. The permanent smile on his face makes you feel that you are at home. it's pretty desolate between the town and the beach making the 10 minute walk to the beach seem long. Walk up the hill to the castle and church to discover a real Spanish sea side town. Load up on affordable souvenirs at the store by the church. I highly recommend this hotel and Salobrena.
Review 24:Found this place on a last minute booking for one night only. Visiting Spain for 10 nights and was only able to book 9 nights at the hotel of oour choice. To be honest we should have booked it for the entire 10 days. We can't fault anything with the place. Great service, very clean, very comfortable, home from home. Will return here again without doubt. A true hidden jem.
Review 25:All great
Review 26:Jose Luis, the hotelier, is the nicest man you'll ever meet the other side of a reception desk; kind, interested and so attentive with the loveliest chuckle. A real gem of a hostal
Review 27:Even though I had booked 2 rooms 6 months ago...when myself and my mother arrived, one of the rooms had been given away. One of us had to stay in another hotel...which wasnt nice. The owner also thought he could put us together in the same room. We were very very disappointed.

Review 53:This is a great Hostal. The room was comfortable & the owner, Jose Luis was outstanding. When we had an emergency, Jose Luis took my family to the clinic & then hospital and stayed until I was released. He also helped the next day with some other things we needed to attend to, driving us there, helping translate & waiting until we were done. He went above & beyond to help us. He gave us great restaurant recommendations. His wife & boys were also very welcoming. Wine, beer or coke was available in the evening. Breakfast was good with plenty of cafe' con leche. We ended up staying an extra 2 days and were very happy.
Review 54:Excellent hostel in a nice and very central neighborhood, 10-15 minutes walk to the beach and approximately 10min from the old town, including the castle (amazing, you have to see it!). The staff was very helpful, the owner is the nicest and most polite person ev and kind, instructed us where to go, what to see and eat!;)). It was also very clean, the breakfast was good. I can't think of even one bad thing to say about this place! I reeeeeally recommend them!
Review 55:There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. the beach is a long walk and the seafront is disappointing.
Review 56:Jose the owner was very friendly - recommended restaurants for us to eat out and even let us use his laptop. He was genuine, warm and very welcoming. The room was small but spotlessly clean. Nice breakfast served with a smile and included in the cost which was very good value for money. The old town area of Salobrena is wonderful - the views from the highest point are spectacular.
Review 57:Very friendly, and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend it and would stay there again. Excellent value. Jerry & Jennifer, Spain
Review 58:Nothing.
Review 59:On arrival and throughout our stay hotel proprietor was most friendly and most helpful. We stayed an extra night without notice - no problem. We would recommend highly. We have made a friend.

The Hostel is spottless, modern and friendly. Will definately stay here again. It was easy to find too,
Review 62:Breakfast €4,- was very simple but possible to ask for free extra bread and coffee.
Review 63:Free parking nearby. Very warm welcome by the owner mr Jose Luis. Located 10min walk from beach. Owner speaks some English. Owner is very friendly and willing to advise in what one needs.
Review 64:Liked everything.
Review 65:We liked everything about Hostal Palomares. The owner and his family are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Situated about ten minutes from the beach at a steady stroll and about the same in the opposite direction for the old town and Salobreña castle. We would definitely stay again.
Review 66:Excellent accommodation at very reasonable rates. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Well situated for exploring salobrena. We will definitely stay again.
Review 67:Proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Cost was reasonable. No problems about alterations in booking dates. One was made to feel welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend Hostal Palomares.
Review 68:Driving in Salobrena was a bit hectic, the hostal was well signposted though. Noise from other room could be heard easily. The jam at breakfast had a chemical taste and there was no juice.
Review 69:Good assistance from the Owner, very helpful. The room was well equipped for a short stay. Most points of interest are within walking distance, beach is a bit far though. Good starting point to explore the Alpucharras. Breakfast is simple, just enough to get you started on your trip.
Review 70:There was nothing that we didn't like about this hotel.
Review 71:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hostal Palomares. The owner was one of the nicest people we have met . He even came out onto the street to introduce himself and to welcome us to his hotel. It's very obviously that the owner is very proud of his business and rightly so. A small typically Spanish hotel with amazing service. My wife broke her foot on the first night of our holidays and we needed access to a lift and space in our room to accommodate the wheelchair. All of which was supplied along with extra pillows. Thanks to the owner Josie ... Who always had a smile on his face. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we look forward to returning for a visit next year.
Review 72:An exstremely nice hotel, the owner and the staff assist you when you ask, and even though you don´t ask. Clean, good and big roof terrace, close to Beach, fine breakfast. Comfortable and value for Money,
Review 73:We were there foronly one night for the Festival de San Juan. The host was friendly, answered all of our questions and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation. Great, clean hostal. Highly recommend.
Review 74:Rooms are a bit noisy, but not noisier compared to other hotels.
Review 75:Great hotel where you can experience the hospitality as being a realguest and not just a visitor. The owner of the hotel really gives youthat personal care. In this hotel is no breakfast protocol, just wake upwhenever you like and have breakfast with great fresh coffee and realfresh fruit. The hotel is not that big, clean and cozy. There is an elevator and good wifi connectivity in all rooms. My room was not that spacious, but for me as a single room enough. Room and bathroom had been well cleaned every day. Airco can be adjusted to personal preference. Channels on the television are spanish. The hotel is situated at the foot of a hill . Climb this hill and you will discover the old village of Salobrena with narrow streets and lovely white houses. At the top of this hill, you will reach an ancient moorish castle. View from here at the sea is really great. It is easy to walk from the hotel to the beach and will last about 10 minutes. The boulevard along the beach offers plenty restaurants and bars to eat and drink. I can recommend this hotel to everyone who doesn't want the mass tourism treatment, but real personal care and coziness instead.
Review 76:The host/owner of the hostal, Mr. José Luis is a very kind, helpfull and friendly man. I was here already in january for the first time and thats why I returned with my friend. The elevator in the hostal is an extra plus. The hostal is a few minuts walk from the centre of the city and nearby the busstation. The last time I was here( in the first week of june) was for a family visit

Review 81:This was an excellent hotel. Jose the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We took the first turning into Salobrena and got lost.
