Built in 1914 Sauntehus Castle Hotel is one of Denmark's youngest estates near Hornbæk in North Zealand in a quaint and charming fishing hamlet. Sauntehus Castle Hotel is surrounded by exceptional parkland that includes rare trees and bushes.
Located on the oldest plantation in the country, which was planted in 1793, Sauntehus Castle Hotel grounds includes the tree of life, Tuja Plicata, which is 100 ft high and 165 ft in circumference.
Flanked by the castles Kronborg, Fredensborg and Frederiksborg, Sauntehus Castle Hotel is in a fashionable neighborhood, and just a short walk to popular beaches and golf courses. Copenhagen's sights are just a 45 minute drive from the castle.
The hotel has several facilities including a swimming pool, billiard and tennis.

Review 1：The safe didn't work. There was no shampoo in the bathroom. There weren't enough people working there. Those who were there were lovely but they were rushed off their feet.

Review 4：The staff was wonderful. One man, and he was excellent. I think there was somebody in the kitchen. Two people for a whole hotel, even when there are just 8 guests (including us two), it's not enough. The room was beautiful, with a good bed, good chairs, nice view. The wifi was good. The food and drinks were excellent. The location and the hotel itself are gorgeous, really. The swimming pool was a bit hard to find, and no towels, but it was excellent swimming. The gardens are just lovely.
Review 5：Sauna and shower area could have been cleaned. Sauna switched on by staff and not guests having to switch it on and wait 2 hours till it's got enough. I think there could have been more staff and we had to locate a staff member as all where busy with a wedding.

Review 12：Not far to drive from Fredensborg Castle and Gardens, quality hotel, good breakfast, stylish dining area. I enjoyed walking up the red carpet (from hotel room in block beside castel), up steps and into castle for breakfast! We were seated on the terrace outside. Friendly staff.
