Review 1：My suite was comfortable and clean and had a nice modern feel to it. I loved the biltong, nuts and dried fruit and bottle of wine that was in the room when I checked in. The staff was friendly; a special thank you to Alexinah at front desk, Frances (concierge) and Vincent the driver. The location is perfect; very close to the Sandton City mall. I will definitely be staying here whenever I am in Johannesburg.

Review 2：Some personnel of Laguna Bristro really needs education on work-ethics (smile- serving- responsive). Poor working airconditioning in suite making for a less desirable sleeping experience

Review 4：It was really impossible to get a smile from one lady in black who was working in the restaurant during breakfast time. Although she was posted at the entrance welcoming the guests, she never greeted us and never replied to our greetings.However, you will find her laughing with other black guests from SA.while talking with them in one of their local languages. Xenophobia has to be discouraged in a place like The Maslow. Besides, for two consecutive days we had to wait for 50 minutes the shuttle in order to be picked up from Gautrain where we were dropped but it never came. We had to walk to the Mandela Square.and wait again for a while before we were picked up.

Review 5：The welcoming letter and the Lacuna wine served to the guests with a smile are unforgettable.The pieces of cakes served every evening +the kindness of personnel serving in the Lacuna Bar are touching.Needless to add the delicious food on the menu cooked by very competent and excellent Chefs.BRAVO!

Review 6：There was very poor communication from management to the guests. When we checked in we were informed that there was going to be a new year bash and that we should expect a bit of noise. When we tried to use the restaurant for dinner that same evening, we were informed that only "booked persons" would be allowed in. We tried once again to use the restaurant the following night and were told the same story. We ended up at the bar across where we ate snacks for diner. All the while, we observes that the restaurant remained nearly empty until late. It became clear to us that the 20 guests that were expected didn't materialize. It would have been helpful if the hotel would have informed us well in advance so that we could make alternative arrangements.

Review 7：The location of the hotel is fantastic, within easy reach of Sandton city and Gauteng train station. There are also many restaurants and entertainment facilities in the location.

Dinner at the Lacuna Bistro was disappointing on the 15th- I ordered the Wagyu beef steak but it was tasteless and tough - could have passed for a minute steak from the supermarket. The other guests enjoyed their food but ate something different.

Review 18：The hotel is located at heart of Sandton, they take the security issues very seriously, the guest feel very safe here. The bus services provided from the hotel the Mandela square is a big plus. Excellent breakfast with good options.

Review 19：This is a beautifully modern hotel with an exceptional staff. Of the 3 hotels I stayed at in Jo'burg, this is the only property I would stay at again. They have a courtesy shuttle to Nelson Mandella mall and many restaurants. I had a late outbound flight and they offered me a 6 pm checkout for very little extra money. Food was good. Food and drink prices were quite reasonable.

Review 20：You should not permit people smoking while waiting for the Shuttle closed to those who do not smoke. We do not bear the sent of cigarette.

Review 29：When we got there at half eleven in the evening we got our room and then checked in. We entered our room and it was a dirty used room, dirty dustbins, filthy face cloth on the basin, dirty coffee cups and half drunk bottles of water. They moved us to a room that was not sound proof and the music from a few try across the road blared in our ears. When we called reception The guy at reception was totally rude and even had the nerve to tell us that there's nothing he cN do and also that the room he gave us first wasn't very messed as if that is an option for a hotel room. The manager then gave us a suite which was at half one in the morning and we checked out that day so we were exhausted. Our luck there was maintenance so there was no electricity that whole morning. No TV no lifts and no wifi. I can send u photos that I had taken of the filthy room as well

Review 57：Here are the parts to note, the lights are either on or off (including side lamps), there are no switches to control brightness or individual lights which means it can be quite uncomfortable in the evenings. There are a lack of sockets to charge items and they are in random places. The public wifi system they have in place has a very strict firewall preventing access to some sites and apps from our phones which was quite frustrating. It also made accessing work email VPN impossible which for a business orientated hotel is shocking.

Review 58：Extremely chic and tasteful décor finished to quite a high standard, our Luxury Suite even had a private terrace which was fabulous. Very private and relaxed stay.

Review 59：We stayed for one night. We had supper at the restaurant. I ordered lamb shank and I was sick the whole evening. My wife shared with me and she was also not well. I ordered 8 Asian tiger lilies for our room - this was never delivered (it was our 8th wedding anniversary). Although we appreciated the complimentary champagne, this was not what I pre requested. I left the champagne in the room after checking out.

Review 63：I wish my room would have been ready when it was suppose to be ready. I showed up a few hours after check-in only to find that I had to leave and come back. I would suggest an awning for the outdoor portion of the main restaurant. There were tons of birds since that area had a lot of trees. I would hate for anyone to be eating outside while soaking up the fresh air and have something land in their plate. The evidence was present that something like that would happen in due time.

Review 64：I thought the hotel was a great touch for Valentine's Day. Great ambiance for the couple looking for some quiet evenings in a nice suite. I think the main dining area was great for outdoor eating. The bottle of wine/grape juice was a nice touch for the occasion.
