Reviews for Hotel Kuninkaantie

Review 1:The hotel is run by Sodexo and the ambience is more like an office building rather than a hotel, incl reception, rooms, staff, catering. To go out for dinner, the surroundings of the hotel are not inviting (Espoo centre means there is a train station and apartment blocks. It's a drab neighborhood). Overpriced - can only explain the price to myself by location close to some large company offices and the airport.

Review 2:Spacious, clean room with a nice view to the park and the historic church.

Review 3:Breakfast fine (nothing bad, but far being amazing) Wifi connection slow and reconnections often required (it however might be because I had a room in a corner of the building)

Review 4:24h reception Easy free parking Early breakfast

Review 5:The location and distance from anything remotely touristy, the cleanliness of the hotel, the buffet quality and availability.

Review 6:The space in the suite. Separate bedroom was nice when travelling with kids.

Review 7:No Tea or coffee in rooms, no telephone in room, no restaurant in hotel & poor quality buffet with limited choice. Rooms not very clean, fusty smell & in desperate need of refurbishment. Expensive for what & where it is!

Review 8:Extremely poor breakfast, unpleasent smell in a bathroom, bad conditioning. In addition, one of three shutters in our room's shower was abscent, and it was impossible to make water stop pouring into the bathroom...

Review 9:24-h working reception

Review 10:- Hotel is very outdated - Room was worn - Light inside the room was inadequate even when turning on all available lights. - Bathroom worn down with mould in the shower - Breakfast not eatable (e.g. scrambled eggs swimming in water...) - 3* rating is a joke

Review 11:- The staff was very friendly and courteous

Review 12:Arrived to find restaurant closed Friday and Saturday nights. Nowhere obvious to go And eat after stressful day. No tea making facilities in the room .

Review 13:Good sauna and swimming pool. Helpful staff. Clean room

Review 14:We stayed in this hotel several times. The location is very good for us. Big parking where you can put your car free of charge. Very friendly stuff always ready to help you. Excellent breakfast. This time we were with our dog and the stuff was very friendly with it too. Really perfect value for money.

Review 15:Rooms need updating, films didn't work, no hot drink making facilities, poor menu and restaurant, breakfast needed re-stocking.

Review 16:Large room, good bed.

Review 17:The private parking supervision for the area in front of the hotel lobby is WAY too ambitious; I was ticketed during the 5 minutes it took to check-in and get my parking permit (fortunately the desk staff said they would take care of this). The same thing happened to another person the next morning. This is not the hotel's fault as such, but visitors should be aware to always use the free parking garage (even before you have checked in) or else leave one person at the car while checking in to fend off the parking control.

Review 18:This was my second stay, the first being a year earlier. Again, it was a positive experience. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast excellent, and the room quiet and comfortable. The iPad WiFi difficulty I'd reported previously turned out to be due to the password being all lower-case instead of the mixed-case on the room instructions. My wife and I would happily stay here again.

Review 19:The evening buffet in restaurant was very cheap, but also very lousy. Breakfast included in room rate was horrible, bread was cold and damp. You get a meal, but this is not a restaurant you want to visit again.

Review 20:1. Quite old furniture 2. No 24hour food around hotel!!! Be ware!

Review 21:1. Nice personnel 2. Good wifi 3. Cosy sauna and pool 4. Good breakfast 5. Nice location between Helsinki and most of megastores like Sello, outlet shops of Reima, Ecco and stockman

Review 22:Room was overheated, could not adjust, roasted all night and slept little, lights not working, shower door jammed, not very clean.

Review 23:Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.

Review 24:Had to ask to change rooms, airconditions dont work, window can not be opened. Sauna and swimming pool separate for man and woman.

Review 25:Staff is excellent, nice breakfast, reasonable price.

Review 26:Poor facilities, my baggage didn't come with me, and I was not offered with any facilities, while the same situation in other country (in Hostel!) I got all necessary facilities for free. Apart from that - could be cleaner.

Review 27:Very nice surrounding, lot of trees, nice food, close to Espoo center, nice restaurant and very nice staff. In general it was nice, I would stay there again but not for long term.

Review 28:It felt like a dormitory than a hotel, no / bad conditioning (they call this centralized, utterly useless in spring/summer), sweated the whole night, rooms have stale air, old furniture/equipments in room, carpets have that old smell, no iron box, overall a bad experience, will never book in.

Review 29:Nothing except that the reception lady tried to help with a fan which she was using, appreciate the gesture.

Review 30:Old furniture

Review 31:Good position, helpful and nice staff, copious breakfast

Review 32:no wifi root diner

Review 33:Nothing was wrong

Review 34:Very nice hotel in peaceful location, Espoo railway station nearby. Good sauna and swimming pool. No complains at all.

Review 35:i liked all on this hotel

Review 36:Like 70's style, seems not renovated after that. Quite expensive indeed.

Review 37:Carpets could use a good cleaning.

Review 38:Great staff. Very helpful.

Review 39:Everything was perfect

Review 40:Close to everywhere

Review 41:Excellent location when visiting for work in Espoo. Breakfast is good and available early in the morning.

Review 42:Parking included in price. Breakfast available early in the morning.

Review 43:feels like shipwreck, costs like cruiseship

Review 44:-

Review 45:The room was a little too cold.

Review 46:The room was too big for one bed.

Review 47:Breakfast was good, but I didn't find milk for my corn flakes...

Review 48:sauna and swimming pool

Review 49:Evening buffet, excellent price/quality

Review 50:Shower door was broken and didn't close.

Review 51:Possibility to buy lots of snacks and food in the reception. Movies on tv. Big room.

Review 52:Old stay inside

Review 53:Allgemein good

Review 54:Nothing at all to complain about this.

Review 55:Extra large beds, sauna and swimming pool, good breakfast, nice areas to take a walk around the place. I was positively surprised.

Review 56:Breakfast was quite poor, not much vegan choices. Could me more vegetables and fruit, it is summer after all.

Review 57:Nice, quite hotel, green surroundings. Good value for money. WiFi is ok, parking available.

Review 58:None.

Review 59:This is a nice hotel in nearby Helsinki. If the location is not very close to the center of the city, all other things say for choosing this hotel for car travellers: it is clean and nice with moderate prices. Ideal for short term stay or even for a long stay if you are ok with using a train which is close to and from the city. Do recommend this hotel for sure.

Review 60:Almost everything was perfect.. just I had to pay for one small bottle of water "3.10 Euro".. Amazing expensive I dont know why!!! I paid for "Redbull" not water at the "airport" which everybody knows that is expensive there just 3.00 Euro.. :)

Review 61:nothing really

Review 62:Swimming pool Sauna Good full breakfast Close location to aiport and city centre Birds and squirrels Good price for very good hotel comfortable facilities

Review 63:Not enough towels No glasses or water boiler in the room No control of heating system Broken furniture ..

Review 64:Bed was good Staff was nice Breakfast was good

Review 65:We didn't appreciate that people were naked in the swimming pool. So we couldn't go there. They were too much light in the room during the night, the bling was not enough obscure. We ask for one bed for two people and we get two beds for one people.

Review 66:The breakfast was good and with a range of choices. The room was pretty big and confortable.

Review 67:Hotel should be renovated. In general hotel is clean and safe but rooms, hallways, showers are frayed and need to be repaired. You cannot set temperature control - central heating is not sufficient in winter and absence of air conditioning makes days too hot in summer

Review 68:Quiet and peaceful place. It takes you only 15-20 minutes to get to Helsinki downtown by car. Good sauna and swimming pool. Fresh air and good breakfast. Quick check-in and friendly staff. And we have enjoyed good Wi-Fi connection. Free wide parking area.

Review 69:Overpriced and will never come again. Very drab rooms, in one room curtain was broken, in another the faucet was not complete. Cleanlness is below Finnish standard, basic cleaning is done, but overall appearance smutsig. Breakfast was terrible, stale bread and over date cheese. The one banana in the fruit basket was cracked open.

Review 70:One a positive note: coffee was fresh and good.

Review 71:The room numbering system was a bit confusing, and the distances to the rooms, and especially the parking garage, were rather long, sometimes down long, barren bare concrete corridors. When the lights were turned off, the room was very dark; it would be useful if there was a night light or some other low lighting in the toilet area, especially as there is a step leading up into the toilet. As it was I left the door light turned on during the night to solve the problem, but this was too much compared to what was needed.

Review 72:I arrived in the late evening with a last-minute reservation. The check-in and check-out service was excellent, the room clean and comfortable, and the breakfast good. The free wifi (or wired connection) was a positive bonus (as was the free indoor parking), although while my iPhone 5 connected easily, my iPad 2 could not connect for some reason. What I needed was just an 'emergency' place to spend the night comfortably, and the hotel provided just this.

Review 73:I would say that the kitchen is close after 6pm I think on a Sunday isnot that good. Also there is no phone to call reception (in this kind ofhotels is expected) so if you ask for room service or need to askanything you have to walk down to the reception. Also tv channels werein finnish. No 100% english channel (that I could find).

Review 74:It is very close to Espoo train station (walking distance). The greenareas around are also very nice

Review 75:All was perfect despite of late arrival excellent and hospitable staff met us, beautiful view, tasty breakfast and pleasant atmosphere in this hotel surprised us. Thanks!

Review 76:Waited for check out at 6.30am but no staff member found at receptionfor 20 minutes. Called hotel number and someone came right away andapologized and simple check out

Review 77:The staff was so great. Beautiful scenic area. The room was spacious andclean, and the bed was comfortable. Nice 10 minute walk from the trainstation. Wifi was really good!

Review 78:Our room was great for the 4 of us. We had plenty of room and a lovely balcony! We enjoyed the hotel's sauna, and the breakfast had a lot of options. I will stay there again.

Review 79:We booked 2 rooms - both with broken windows. We asked for 1 double-bedand got 2 separate beds. Small sauna (for 3 people maximum). No fridgeat the room.

Review 80:Breakfast

Review 81:Fair WiFi connection in room. It's very inconvenient to stay in public place to chat or talk through skype while other respectable hotel's visitors suffer your conversation.

Review 82:This was our second stay in the hotel with such unfamiliar name for Russians :) We chose it quite easily and quickly because of previous experience. Hotel is not new but very clean, it's kept in very good condition. Friendly staff. Quiet and peaceful location. Hares in front of your windows. Swimming pool and sauna. Good breakfast. Free parking.

Review 83:Restuarant was closed over the weekend, room not cleaned or tidiedthroughout my stay

Review 84:Nice pool and sauna, restuarant was ok, quiet town, convenient fornature reserves around Helsinki

Review 85:Uncomfortable beds. Poor room cleaning. No option to change room temperature. Room was cold.

Review 86:Strong wireless, free. Friendly and helpful reception and restaurant/bar staff.

Review 87:Actually no wi-fi in a room but it was mentioned in facilities list : "Free! WiFi is available in all areas and is free of charge." well that was a lie, that is bad. When I asked 'why no wi fi?" they(reception lady) said "I don't know it should be there. if you have laptop you can use lan port". but I don't have it unfortunately and I could not check it. В номерах нету обещанного WiFi. В остальном очень хороший отель.

Review 88:Sauna was OK but could have stood to be a little hotter than it was. There was no housekeeping on the weekend but we were able to get fresh towels from the front desk or from the sauna. There was no telephone in the room. Every time you wanted to ask the front desk something you had to go down there. They are supposed to have this information built into the television system that has all of the information about when breakfast is and when the sauna is open and so forth but the system didn't really work right so most of the time you had to walk down to the desk and ask. The in-room Internet was a little problematic. It had a wired system with an RJ-45 connector but I was never able to get that to work. There was Wi-fi but the signal was very weak in our room and it was quite slow. Breakfast was so-so compared to other Finnish hotels I have stayed at. Hotel was a little dated and some of the carpets had noticeable stains on them. None of it was a huge problem but cumulatively, it might make me look for other options. I wouldn't rule out staying there again but I would probably be reluctant to endorse it to other travelers.

Review 89:It was reasonably priced and very close to the train station. Access to the center of Helsinki was quite convenient. It had a pool and sauna. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It had free indoor heated parking for the car. I think that in general it was a decent value.

Review 90:Kitchen staff terribly busy doing their chores during breakfast - didn't make eye contact, didn't reply to "good morning"...

Review 91:Peace&quiet although apparently quite full. Good breakfast. We didn't visit the pool&sauna facilities. Nice and polite people at the reception.

Review 92:Room could of been cleaner, crumbs on the table, something had spilled onto the dresser handle and door which was left uncleaned, balcony could do with steam clean as moss growing.

Review 93:Easy acess to trains into Helsinki. No need to take the car into downtown.

Review 94:There was no room service at all over the weekend that we stayed there. There is no telephone in the bedroom and no details of how to contactreception in an emergency.

Review 95:This was our first time to Finland and we managed to book this hotelthrough the website. The price was reasonable and the hospitality wastoo gud. The staff were very friendly and very helpful.I would recommend this hotel to any one who would prefer a calm and peaceful location for leisure and enjoying their holidays. Truly worth every penny and enjoyed my stay completely. Vijay

Review 96:We didn't like that on Satturday sauna and pool was closed for all evening with drunked young guys (((

Review 97:Very good hotel in peacfull place - 5 km nice places for BBQ near lake and in the forest for free.

Review 98:cant open the window, a lot of dead insects on the floor in corridor. Verry messy surrounding near the hotel and on teras.

Review 99:Easy to find location, free parking, tasty breakfast,

Review 100:The Wifi signal was weak and the connection quality and speed was poor. The hotel's location is not that great if you want to find a decentrestaurant you will need to take the Train/Car to Helsinki

Review 101:The location was great, a hop from the highway and a walk from the TrainStation makes it ideal.

Review 102:Very cold room, had to put all clothes before go to bed.

Review 103:Perfect location - just 10 minutes to railway station ,and there were notroubles to drive by car. Swimming Pool and sauna are really great!

Review 104:mosquitoes in the room (((

Review 105:Key system of the rooms.

Review 106:Sauna & swimming pool are ideal level. The breakfast is OK.

Review 107:They ran out of bread at breakfast.

Review 108:Sauna and pool.

Review 109:Terrible wifi connection. It did not work in the room, only in the main hall.

Review 110:everything is kinda old in the room

Review 111:Very helpful stuff,

Review 112:Very good breakfast, nice service, quiet and comfortable.. OK!

Review 113:furniture little old

Review 114:big rooms, good breakfast.

Review 115:Bar closed at 10:30 even for hotel guests! EUR50 taxi ride from the airport

Review 116:Pool and spa area are great. Breakfast was nice. Everything costs it's price.

Review 117:The sound of fan, which occasionally was present.

Review 118:A nice alternative for a hotel in Helsinki in case you are traveling by car.

Review 119:The Breakfast

Review 120:Room was very dirty , furnitures were old and bad , there was nothing to eat for breakfast ..

Review 121:Nothing was good ..

Review 122:Walking distance to train station. In 20 minutes you reach the city.

Review 123:old building

Review 124:Breakfast, quietness, location, room space, parking free on weekend
