Reviews for Hotel Senderos
Review 1:Pool not open due to maintenance but probably would not have used as it was the end of November
Review 2:Lovely big room with fridge and kettle, complementary bottle of water, stylish modern bathroom, great location for beach and walks, quiet and peaceful
Review 3:There was nothing to not like! Nothing was too much trouble. The only problem was the town was very quiet which is hardly the hotels fault. But I did go on a Wednesday out of season!
Review 4:Very friendly and helpful.Lovely hotel inside and well looked after. Will stay there again definitely
Review 5:There was no one at reception when we arrived. We had to ring them, and then wait 15 min. for their arrival. The beach was a little rocky.
Review 6:The accomodations at Los Senderos were much more luxurious than expected for the price and location. The breakfast was especially great, with lots of choices. We liked our balcony, even tho the view wasn't great. We hiked the great trail along the coast for a mile or two and loved it!
Review 9:Hard to find an open restaurant off season in Agua Amarga. They took it in turns to open and one night the only open one closed before 8.30 so we had to drive to Carboneras to eat. Seafront bar was full of smokers.
Review 10:Warm welcome and useful local information; excellent breakfast buffet, plentiful and varied; good base for walking and touring.
Review 11:Expected a spa hotel Christmas eve. Hotel was practically closed, no staff on site, pool open but cold and full of insects. No bar, no food - nothing.
Review 12:Room very nice and confortable
Review 13:Nothing significant. Very pleasant guy working breakfast shift seemed to be covering reception too so it took a bit of effort to get hot drinks. Given the very understandable fact that staffing is kept at a minimum it may be helpful to put a brief information sheet in rooms with things like wifi code, breakfast times etc. This would save guests having to go to and fro to reception to try and catch someone. These are just suggestions - we loved our all too short stay and would happily return
Review 14:Comfortable room with large terrace. Loved pool area (where breakfast is served too). Good selection for breakfast - cereals, yoghurt, pastries, nice bread, cold meats, cheese, juice etc. Free parking right outside and just 5 mins max walk to beach.
Review 15:Breakfast was a let down but the orange juice was great.
Review 16:The hotel was very small only 10 rooms and comfortable, our room had 1 of the 5 terraces which was lovely to sit on for an evening glass of wine, as you do!!! Five minute walk to the beach and plenty of bars and resturantes to choose from. Very good location for exploring the interesting area.
Review 17:No complaints!
Review 18:We booked for 5 days and extended to 10 days as we couldn't find anywhere better (in price, location, design, and amenities) than this local gem. Agua Amarga is the best town to stay in Cabo de Gata, it's beautiful and quiet and has a beautiful beach and nearby amazing coves, horseback riding, and terrain to explore. The hotel is lovely, new, modern, very clean, safe, and pretty. Carlos and Orelia are so friendly and helpful, and go the extra distance to make your stay great. Our room was spacious and full of light, had a large private patio with chaise lounges and a great big umbrella, and nice big bathroom with luxurious shower. They give you nice bath products, bottled water, chocolate, etc upon arrival. (Typically accommodation in Spain does not do this!) The included breakfast is around the pool which is in a lovely atrium-like room and they bring fresh baked croissants and breads from the family's market, make fresh squeezed orange juice and made to order coffees, and also offer fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, and more. There is a public parking lot right outside the hotel that is free and very convenient as well as street parking. We enjoyed our stay so much, we felt absolutely at home and comfortable, will definitely return! Thank you Hotel Senderos!
Review 19:Nothing.
Review 20:Lovely friendly welcome, great room. Cracking breakfast with very fresh pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Review 21:Very clean
Review 22:staff, and hotel brilliant.
Review 23:Nothing to complain about
Review 24:The hotel was excellent very clean. Nice surrounding
Review 25:Wifi can be better, only that. All the other things are perfect.
Review 26:It was really wonderful and certainly best option in agua amarga.
Review 27:Very clean, modern and well equipped room ,quiet location - only couple of minutes to beach, friendly staff, nice personal touches, comfortable bed.
Review 28:Everything was fine!
Review 29:We staid for one day and everything was excellent. Highly recommended if you look for a place in the area.
Review 30:Nothing.. I wish I had booked them for more than one night.
Review 31:The people managing te hotel are doing there best. They provide the room with tea maker (which is not Spanish standard) and free tea and coffee + chocolate + one bottle of water 1,5L (which is above Spanish standards). The toiletries were nice as well. I was actually surprised they are two stars only although they have a small indoors swimming pool where they serve the breakfast. The hotel is exactly 5 min walking distance from beach. The rooms downstairs comes with a 25-square-meter backyard where you can enjoy sitting outside at night or sun bathing privately. When I come next time to Agua Amarga I am definitely staying at Senderos.
Review 32:Absolutely no complaints at all!
Review 33:Amazing! If you are looking for a place to visit Cabo de Gata, AguaAmarga is certainly the best location and have no doubts while bookingthis hotel as everything is perfect here!
Review 34:Breakfast is a bit sober.
Review 35:Everything is sparkling clean and modern, I was welcomed with a bottle of water, all sorts of (high quality)eco toiletries, a comb and even a toothbrush: you can make coffee and tea in the room and there's a fridge. The staff was genuinely friendly, laid back and helpful. WiFi in the room was fast enough.Very quiet surroundings, no traffic noise. The whole village is very quiet.(Don't expect to go on a shopping trip there or see a museum) It is just a short walk away from the wonderful beach. It's more like a miniature 4 star hotel than a 2 star hotel in my opinion.
Review 36:Hotel tries to cut costs by limiting staffing. According to a sign at the entrance, staff is available around 8 hours per day. While that might be true for the whole building, reception is staffed apparently less than an hour a day, leading to guests having to contact manager by intercom/phone almost always.
Review 37:without a car it is difficult to come around exempt by walking. The buses go 4 times a week.
Review 38:I liked the silence, the clean room, the helpful friendly persons. If you want a calm holiday at the beach and like to walk through beautiful nature it is a nice interesting place to visit.
Review 39:This newly renovated hotel only has 10 rooms (5 with terrace, 5 without). There are 2 very friendly staff and well appointed rooms with comfy beds .. plus extras not often found in budget hotel such as TV, fridge, water, muffins, toothbrushes, etc. Great location to walk into the village.
Review 40:There wasn't anything i didn't like.
Review 41:Large, light and spacious bedroom, which also had a small fridge. The buffet style breakfast around the indoor swimming pool, was more than adequate with fresh orange juice from a local grower! Very pleasant friendly staff.
Review 42:A very welcome addition to the small number of hotels in Agua Amarga. Clean and simple and reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good position in centre of town.
Review 43:I have nothing negative to say - this hotel has got it right!
Review 44:I loved the functional simplicity, the superb cleanliness and the bright decor of the room. I was so impressed with the friendliness of the receptionist and her extreme helpfulness.
Review 45:Reception was closed when we arrived in the afternoon! We did ring the bell and eventually got attention.
Review 46:Nothing
Review 47:Everything excellent service
Review 48:Good accomodation. Lovely modern bathrooms. Excellent. Just what was wanted.
