Reviews for Hotel Residencia Miami
Review 1:There was extra charge to be paid of pets- cash- no receipt-very Spanish-and poor behavior. The AC unit did Not worl-cold room!
Review 2:Reception was ok-and spoke English- and helps with further Bookings.
Review 3:Would like to see a little more variation for breakfast
Review 4:Location is excellent and the staff are friendly room is clean and tidy while basic it is still good value for money
Review 5:fab place .. very traditional.. great rooms.. gorgeous gardens and a lovely pool..staff great.. we checked out at 3am.. no worries.. close to beach and all shops... whats not to like ..... will defo return to this one ... 10/10
Review 6:If one critism breakfast could be a little improved with more choice other than a bread roll toasted is fine if only staying a short time
Review 7:Love the spanish style of this place small and quiet and friendly staff
Review 8:We booked a quadruple room and it was dark, dingy and had a bad smell. We complained and were moved immediately without problem
Review 9:The hotel is in a perfect location and is very quaint with lovely original features
Review 10:Reception staff very surly. Didn't ask if everything ok, did we have a nice stay, any problems......etc, etc. If you wanted a kettle and a fridge in your room you had to hire it from an outside source....reception didn't speak to you when you came in from beach or evening meal, if you said good morning / good afternoon they usually ignored you !!!!!!!!
Review 11:Fabulous location. Very clean hotel. Nice garden, good size room and bathroom.
Review 12:Friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness of the place was excellent, lovely breakfast terrace and small, but very relaxing pool area. Location was also excellent.
Review 13:Breakfast is difficult for someone like me who doesnt eat white bread, refined sugar, or much cheese. Standard breakfast appears to be cake, white bread roll, cheese and jam. ok if you like that sort of thing! Not a major problem, bought my own
Review 14:lovely hotel, very Spanish and quiet, tranquil breakfast overlooking the pool. Pleasant staff, clean comfortable room, lots of hot water and bath. just a few minutes walk from the beach and nicest part of this stretch of the coast
Review 15:Breakfast is a bit basic and although I paid for a room for 2 only got 1 small pot of tea and you can't get another.
Review 16:Its really easy to find, easy to get to the beach, lots of restaurants nearby, comfortable
Review 17:No lift and we were about 4 floors up,and it is no good for elderly people, especially with luggage. You would have to ask for a room on the ground floor.
Review 18:Bed was not very comfortable - bit on the hard side. Think hotel could do with a bit of TLC although bathroom looked fairly new.
Review 19:Very good location with free parking. Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely building not living up to full potential. Lovely not to be in faceless modern high rise but a building with some history. Didnt use pool but looked nice and clean. Nice to be able to take dog.
Review 20:A rare example of real Andalusian styled hotel. And with history! Very charming. Staff extremely friendly. Felt like at home. We definitely will come again.
Review 21:Location and friendly staff
Review 22:Location was great staff were lovely rooms serviced and clean towels every day pool side toilets not clean and air con not working in room but over all was great and would go again
Review 23:The bedroom had a musty smell and would have benefited from a good airing. This did not stop our enjoyment of the hotel
Review 24:The sense of history and duende of the hotel.
Review 25:Breakfast could be better, but ok. first impression of staff you'd think weren't all that friendly but they really are lovely. So perhaps just need to be a little more welcoming
Review 26:The best location 2 mins from beach and bars and restaurants. Lovely traditional hotel, reasonable priced, clean and comfortable
Review 27:breakfast ok but not overwhelming Surroundings are very touristic
Review 28:Charming villa style hotel with free breakfast Very close to the sea and touristic streets Friendly and helpful staff
Review 29:Simple things done well, lovely looking hotel from outside, best thing has to be location on the border of Torremolinos and Benalmadena, 15 min flat walk to Marina, very close to some great beaches, plenty of restaurant and bars around, free parking is a real bonus too, nice pool as well
Review 30:The fact that some parents don't keep control of their children. At the time of my visit there was a unruly child that kept throwing things into the pool and generally making a lot of noise when people are trying to relax.
Review 31:I like the pool area, it's a shame they don't have a specific area for children or make it an adult only hotel.
Review 32:There was nothing to dislike. Breakfast could have been much improved however by including some fresh fruit.
Review 33:The hotel is a beautiful old Spanish hacienda style building well hidden between the ugly concrete apartment blocks of Torremolinos. It is full of interesting ornaments, paintings and decorations and has stunning stained glass windows, chandeliers and an enormous inglenook fireplace in the dining room. A really pleasant environment. The garden is also lovely, although sadly we couldnt use it because of the poor weather.
Review 34:Small size of bedroom & bathroom & lack of wifi in room, but we would come again if we had a larger room with a good balcony.
Review 35:Convenience to beach, free car parking, free breakfast & Spanish charm & friendly service.
Review 36:Cold weather on arrival so needed heaters but they were poor if they actually worked staff tried to do their best
Review 37:Location. Staff mostly very helpful. Location good.
Review 38:Not a complaint for the price paid---just a notice for others. Breakfast is very Spanish minimal-the tostada was fine but the plastic wrapped sweet muffin scary! Coffee was great the 2nd morning but the 1st it was stale. Fresh coffee is always appreciated. The bar was not open at all-in summer I suppose it is-good news, we brought our own drinks and the staff were happy to refrigerate them for us :-) Did I mention the staff/service was great! The beds could use new fluffy pillows and full size bath towels-I appreciate a hairdryer in the bathroom but called before so knew to take my own-again, not a problem
Review 39:The location being easy to walk to anything you needed was wonderful. The parking is free and onsite-perfect! Loved the pool too-even so it is still a bit cool it was great and we used it twice since we had sunny warm weather.
Review 40:We could have done with more pillows, but as we were only there one night it wasn't a big problem.
Review 41:Great parking, friendly staff and very close to beach and promenade.
Review 42:Breakfast is limited to rolls & jam with coffee, but plenty of other options are available nearby.
Review 43:This hotel is a little gem, a real old fashioned find in the midst of all the high rises of the Costa. A large house set in mature gardens with a pool, on a quiet street, yet only 1 block from the main promenade and the sea. Nice staff, welcoming, dog friendly & onsite parking. Our second stay here and it wont be the last !
Review 44:Nothing at all
Review 45:The hotel is beautiful and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's very quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace.
Review 46:€7.00 per night for your dog to stay in your room is too expensive. Don't expect more than bread roll, jams and coffee for breakfast.
Review 47:Rustic Spanish hotel, very close to the beach and shops. Free parking.
Review 48:Our only minor gripe was that the hot water in the shower wasn't warm enough, apart from that I can't think of anything that annoyed us. I'm not saying it's a luxury hotel with all the mod cons and I'm sure other people have found things that are not up to the standard they were expecting but I really don't know why it doesn't have a higher rating. If like us you like a good clean quiet hotel in a great location then this will work for you.
Review 49:We booked this hotel for 2 nights based upon previous reviews. Never been to the Torremolinos area before but this hotel isn't in the centre, it's located on the Torremolinos/Benalmadena border in the Carihuela area, a nice 15 min walk to Benalmadena Marina along the promenade and in our opinion the hotel is in a great location. We arrived after 10pm but was warmly greeted, there is someone around all night even in the off season. The hotel is a lovely looking property, not like some 60's high rise hotels that are common along the coast. It's in a great location as it less than 1 min from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Some were closed for the winter months but plenty were still open. Parking on site is a big bonus as it can be difficult to park even when we were there is in the off season. A simple but nice breakfast is available after 8.30am, it's included in the price and consists of tea/coffee, orange juice, warm roll with jam/marmalade and muffin. It's served outside on the lovely terrace when it's warmer but we ate it inside in a gorgeous old room. The pool looked nice although the weather this time of year can be quite chilly so we didn't use it. It's not a luxury hotel but very clean and comfortable, we had a good sized room with a nice balcony, lovely sized double shower (no bath but that suited us) and could've easily of stayed longer. This hotel does the basics right, it doesn't have the touches you would get from a higher rating hotel but look what you pay compared to elsewhere. We only slept in the room so didn't care if it didn't have a flat screen TV with English channels or Wi-Fi in the room (Wi-Fi is available downstairs in the lobby/dining area). The staff were very friendly and helpful.Overall I would say this is a lovely clean, quiet and comfortable hotel in a great location and offers excellent value for money.
Review 50:Breakfast was very basic. Room was very basic - aircon was really old. Bed not the best but fine. Very poor wifi. Advertised as only being in common areas but even there, it was very haphazard. For the price, the place was very good, considering the quality of the common areas and the location, but I'd prefer to pay more and have these problems remedied,.
Review 51:A lot. Very characterful. Common areas had a very nice and traditional design. A bit old-fashioned for my taste but made a change from bland decor in so many places. Lovely gardens, pool and common areas. Excellent location, close to everything. Room was very quiet so a good night's sleep could be had. All in all, a great place to stay and excellent value for money. I can recommend.
Review 52:Breakfast was a dissapointment. Coffee needs to change.
Review 53:I loved the style of the hotel what a treat, the people working there were helpful and friendly.Very relaxing reminded me why I love Spain.
Review 54:Breakfast was very poor and limited Facilities in the hotel Decor and furniture was very outdated Plugs were falling apart and did not work properly Comfort of bed Wifi was very limited
Review 55:Cleanliness Location
Review 56:Bedbugs. My legs and arms were covered with the itching bites after the 1 night stay. 9 days later the doctor at the emergency unit at Esbjerg Hospital had to prescribe antibiotics for the infected bites.
Review 57:The hotel was situated very close to restaurants and the beach. The swimmingpool was fine. Free parking at the hotel.
Review 58:the room was too close to the kitchen. Noise at night for preparing the tables for the breakfast. Breakfast maybe so poor...
Review 59:Good price. 15 minutes walk to the centre of Torremolinos. Possibility of free parking inside the Residencia (quite imposssible in the centre of torremolinos.....)
Review 60:I reaaly liked the nice spanish atmosphere at this hotel. The pool and the breakfast area was nice to have in shadow, when it turned 35 C. Very central and close to the beach as well. Hotel had big rooms, balcony and was quiet. All for an affordable prize.
Review 61:The advertised complimentary breakfast was very poor. Only a dry roll and coffee. Not worth offering really.
Review 62:The hotel is a wonderful building with a lot of medieval style features. Lovely flagstoned reception and lounge . The gardens are pretty and the swimming pool is very clean. Some of the sun beds looked in need if replacing . The bedroom was a good size with nice bathroom. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Bar hatch, paella offered as only option for lunch or dinner. Free parking within own grounds. Close to the lovely beaches in Torremolinos many bars and restaurants. and
Review 63:No lift which could be a problem for less able-bodied travellers. Bedroom was basic, we had a double bed with only one (long) pillow for the 2 of us, so not particularly comfortable.
Review 64:Close to beach but far enough away to be quiet. Free parking on site. Nice pool. Very friendly staff.
Review 65:Nothing
Review 66:We love this little hotel, is quiet, clean and not pricey. The location is great, two minutes to the beach and places to eat, parking is free and the pool is an added bonus. The staff were all brilliant and the family room was perfect for a family with two kids under 3. We are going back next summer!
Review 67:Poor breakfast. Baby cot wasn't ready though prebooked and we arrived too late to have one put in the room... Hotel might need some renovation. Small room.
Review 68:Individual style of the hotel, charming but a bit old-fashioned... Private free parking right by the hotel was very handy. Friendly staff.
Review 69:Some slight difference in the breakfast for 14 days would have been a welcome change Losing 40 Euros from my dropped wallet inside the hotel one morning which was handed in by another resident .
Review 70:The location is excellent near to beach, two minutes walk, yet quiet area. Lovely pool/patio area. The old Spanish type residence with its history was a welcome change. Within walking distance to the other nearby resorts.
Review 71:The room is very basic, air conditioner is weak, beds are uncomfortable, wi-fi signal is only on the reception. The room needs at least a mini-fridge
Review 72:It's situated near the beach, has it's own free parking
Review 73:Only a standard size double bed, some decor and poolside areas a little shabby but all very clean.
Review 74:Location was great, hotel is full of character and lovely stained glass. Pool is a good size. Staff were incredibly helpful, checking for a free room for us when we turned up much earlier than check in time.
Review 75:Noisy air con in my room which leaked on my clothes! Just a minor issue with a really nice place to stay.
Review 76:Staff were so helpful. Stored our sandwiches overnight for an early flight, helped squeeze my car into the busy parking area. Always friendly and available. The pool area is really lovely. Location is ideal too.
Review 77:Excellent location. The architecture of building is gorgeous. The pool is surrounded by trees. The place is quiet and is perfect for families with children. The room was cleaned every day. Towels changed daily. Staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel!
Review 78:Breakfast could be a little better. Only had it once so not really in position to criticise
Review 79:Location,staff,pool and surrounds very good, clean, car park a bonus in the busy Carahuela area. The building has old world character I'm in construction so I appreciated it
Review 80:Not that im complaining but breakfast was really basic we as adults really didn't mind but my 2 young children couldnt really eat the thick toast every morning, but we just went to the bakery for croissants for them instead which was just around the corner.
Review 81:The quirkyness of the hotel and the excellent location. The pool was beautiful and warm we thought the salt water might be an issue but it was barely salty at all and the rooms have a gorgeoous view of the pool.
Review 82:No lift so it was a bit of a struggle with your cases so maybe not suitable for the older guests.
Review 83:The old spainish charm of this hotel was really nice, it was like taking a step back in time. The room was basic but the bathroom was modern, our room had a lovely sized balcony, continental breakfast was served on the terrace over looking the swimming pool. Loved it and would definitely go back soon.
Review 84:The hotel is stylish and it is located very close to the beach and to the restaurants. Breakfast on a nice terrace is included in the price and the private parking as well.
Review 85:No wifi in the room.
Review 86:Noisy if there are other noisy customers...
Review 87:Nice building but I think we had the smallest room...
