Reviews for Hotel El Cid

Review 1:Friendly staff. Bar usually buzzing with local folk. Clean and comfortable rooms. Ours was at the front on the top floor with a balcony and superb views.

Review 2:This Hotel is just inside the City walls and there are a couple of hundred steps up a steep hill to the castle. There are however a number of streets cris-crossing the steps with cafe/bars where you can break your journey up.

Review 3:Very reasonable prices. On street parking directly outside and within view of your balcony. Great views from the hotel and the castle is well worth a visit.

Review 4:No hairdryer, no breakfast choice - bread ham and cheese. The room could have been a little cleaner, but it was tolerable for a couple of nights.

Review 5:Hotel El Cid is in the best possible location for exploring Morella. And you can park outside the hotel if arriving by car.

Review 6:Built on a hill, there is a lot of uphill walking. We don't mind that so it wasn't really a negative for us.

Review 7:Excellent location. From the highway the hotel is located just inside the main entrance of the town with free public parking. Great view from the hotel balcony.

Review 8:1. Bedrooms cold - central heating not working. Owner gave us fan heaters. 2. Although booked in advance through you, checking in took an age. 3. Poor room lighting.

Review 9:1. Location/views. 2. Easy car parking. 3. Good value. 4. Bedrooms/bathrooms more spacious than average for the price. Balconies a plus.

Review 10:Soft furnishings were a little shabby and the place in general needs a bit of updating.

Review 11:This hotel is in a prime location with stunning views. The décor is a little tired but dining room was good and the food excellent.

Review 12:The down side is that's it at the bottom of the village, and its avery long walk up a lot of stairs to the top. Lots of older people thereall with walking sticks. I know why now. You can drive up to the top anpark. We didn't make the top of the castle..one of the hotels in therough guide wAs recommended We went but it wasn't good. They eatvery late in Spain and on the way back there were lots of places wecould have eaten at.the drive is really one way as if you were goingtowards Barcelona you have to drive the same way back.

Review 13:We have been travelling for a week now and I think they have th bestbreakfast of all the ones we stayed in...so far...bed comfortable, WiFigood, and parking not a problem. It says 10 euros for parking butit's published parking on the road outside. No problem, and wedidn't pay.Great views from the room.
