Hotel Cordón

Hotel Cordón descritpion
This elegant, centrally-located hotel is located in one of the pedestrian streets which surround Burgos’s cathedral, a few feet from the main square.
The Cordón provides a classy setting for your visit to this historic Castillian city. Its central location allows you to easily walk to the ancient cathedral – a World Heritage Site – as well as the internationally important Museum of Human Evolution.
The hotel’s traditional, Romanesque façade contrasts with its stylish, modern interior; there is a nice cafe where you can start each day with a buffet breakfast. Rooms are classically decorated and come with marble bathrooms.

Reviews for Hotel Cordón
Review 1:Great location in old part of town. Easy walk to/from Bus station and to the Cathedral. Excellent restaurants nearby and bars in street. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 2:buy a curtain shower!!! When you take a shower all the water go outside !!! C'mon !! Small room with a tiny TV .
Review 3:walking distance to the Cathedral and a lot of other places , even the new museum of the evolution . Breakfast / buffet was excellent , like reaaaaaally plenty of food , even eggs!! Did I say buffet ????? Air conditioner was excellent . Very clean . Very friendly people .
Review 4:Remember Spain can often keep going until early hours of the morning!
Review 5:Location central, breakfast included and helpful staff. Room good size and great bath/shower facilities. Great countryside and areas for walking and exploring.
Review 6:Rather noisy in the hotel, other guests with stilletoes in the room above, sounds of bathroom use. We were unfortunate to arrive at breakfast just after the walkers (pilgrims) and cyclists so not an awful lot remained.
Review 7:The location of the hotel and the friendly and empathetic staff, we lost our passports, and they were very helpful. The hotel was well placed for the inner city and as we had dogs with us the river walks nearby were very helpful.
Review 8:On this visit to Spain we have stayed in a number of 3 star hotels. Hotel Cordon is of a much lesser standard and only warrants 2 stars. It is expensive. Friends stayed in 4 star hotel nearby for less than we paid.
Review 9:Fabulous staff on reception. Location.
Review 10:Poor breakfast, queue for slow toaster. Coffee made by one member of staff on duty, by the cup. More than one cup, same slow process. No tea or coffee facility in bedroom.
Review 11:the location was excellent. Room was cleaned to a high standard. Bed comfortable
Review 12:Finding this hotel is not straight forward. GPS won't recognise that you need to go into a pedestrianised zone. Once you figure that out its plain sailing. Access to the zone is easy. Watch out for the sign posts for the hotel rather than satnav and it will be no problem.
Review 13:Location, per friendly, character property
Review 14:Breakfast could have been better
Review 15:Close to lots of Tapas bars and restaurants. We were travelling back to the UK with our dog and found the hotel very pet friendly and a good location, the Hello bar opposite is pet friendly and accommodating. A river close by for walking your dog. There are 2 secure underground car parks, you can park directly outside the hotel to check in and then drive round to the car parks.
Review 16:Nothing!
Review 17:Wonderful location next to historic center but not in the middle of the hubbub. The staff was super friendly and helpful, building has plenty of charm and character, rooms simple, super clean and had everything you need. I had an interior room with window overlooking a quiet, but sunny area with plenty of fresh air (you have to be careful in spain of interior rooms whose windows open into a dark, covered space or inside hallway). If you're a breakfast person, this one is really good. Burgos is well worth a visit, good restaurants, beautiful squares & stunning cathedrals. Love the colorful buildings.
Review 18:Friendly, welcoming staff who gave us information about Burgos and what to see. Room was quiet, bed comfortable, included breakfast which was continental. A good find..
Review 19:It was difficult to find a good restaurant nearby where we could sit outside with the dogs. Lots of bars in this street so not able to open the bedroom window to let cool air in because of the noise levels.
Review 20:We stayed at this hotel because we are travelling with two dogs. Reception staff extremely helpful especially with directions for around the immediate area.
