Reviews for Hotel Mur

Review 1:Our only fault was that because it was in the centre there was no facilites to park other than in an underground car park a walk away from the hotel at 18 euros per night.

Review 2:Right in the centre of Jaca. Breakfast was included and very good. Took dinner in the hotel, this was excellent and very good value.

Review 3:Well as my wife would say "We were greeted like a prison door " The girl on the reception must be "family" otherwise she would not be there !

Review 4:Centre of town opposite the citadell !

Review 5:With no AC to room the noise from the pedestrian area was intolerable particularly from the large number (150) of teenage students who arrived at the Mur as we did. The 'local' free parking was taken over by a Fair unknown to the hotel staff. We were booked for 3 nights but moved after the first. Breakfast was a challenge with the crush of noisy students.

Review 6:The location seems good at first but!

Review 7:WiFi was out of order.

Review 8:Unbelievable to find such a great hotel at such a low price. The building is beautifully furnished, lovely sitting areas decorated in style and with class. Facilities were excellent. Had it been 4 x the cost, I wouldn't have blinked an eye.

Review 9:Wifi was very poor. None for first 2 days and last day. Also we could only pay bill with cash as machine was broken. This was very stressful at the end as we had to go to bank and we had a coach to catch for airport. D

Review 10:Very nice hotel for a 2 star and a very good location. Shower was excellent.

Review 11:on this occasion, a bus load of Spanish tourists were using the hotel, and were leaving early from 5am, they were very noisy talking and shouting, dragging suitcases down the tiled stairs etc. So we decided to also get up, and left early so missed the breakfast.

Review 12:good location, close to town, lots of good restaurants within walking distance,

Review 13:Lack of parking was bad, and the central location ment that street parking was very difficult. The hotel seemed to cater to school parties during school holidays, hope you like children.

Review 14:The central location was good.

Review 15:Had to park some distance from the hotel. Was told there was free parking, but couldn't find it so ended up costing us 18.50€ for one night's stay.

Review 16:Close to shopping area

Review 17:On that particular date, NO heating. Probably due to the fact that it was the first day of wintery cold weather.

Review 18:Views. Location. Nicely decorated Dining rooom, Tea room, staircases, etc.

Review 19:Although hotel is on the main road all signs were on the side street, therefore difficult to find. Easy to see from public parking area.

Review 20:Good value hotel. Great buffet breakfast.

Review 21:We were disappointed to learn that "parking nearby" wasactually random on-road parking several roads away. The alternative, which we felt obliged to use, was underground parking close by for18.50 euros!

Review 22:Good selection of food for buffet breakfast

Review 23:very old hotel 1875 - shows its age - old style and some renovations but not stylish breakfast is like a canteen too noisy in the morning with cleaning ladies Staff struggled to speak english

Review 24:very central next to cathedral and citadel free good wifi on all hotel Breakfast adequate with some choice Fairly good value for money

Review 25:Using free public parking as a hotel facility it's a publicity stunt, which induces the traveler to pick the wrong choice. With enough luck, it's possible to park in two specific streets, without costs, each about 300 meters away. Otherwise, it's possible to park on any street, paying the corresponding fee.

Review 26:Location

Review 27:Uncomfortable bed. No air conditioning with a re-cycling bin in the road below which is emptied at 1am. Not particularly helpful staff watched us carrying our bags through the front door without even holding it open.

Review 28:Unusual interesting public rooms. Good breakfast.

Review 29:The hotel was in the main town but was quiet enough withplenty of interesting shops and restaurants close by. We had a pleasant room with balcony which gave us a nice view of the street below and over towards the citadel. Th staff were helpful letting us leave our luggage when we arived early and arranging for us to have access to the buffet breakfast earlier than 7.30 so that we could catch our bus.

Review 30:Very noisy at night, woke up several times from noise in the corridor. Only one power socket in the room. Mediocre breakfast in crowded dining room.

Review 31:Location. Huge TV (only modern aspect in the whole place).

Review 32:There was no parking nearby and it is quite a walk with luggage to the free car park. There is a car park closer by but it appeared very expensive.

Review 33:Nice hotel quaintly furnished in middle of town. Very clean and comfortable.

Review 34:A little bit dated, in places. Hotel is on a main road and some rooms can suffer from traffic noise but overall it was relatively quiet. There is no designated parking do you take pot luck on the streets.

Review 35:Ideal for access to the town and it's nice squares and cobbled streets. Reasonable sized room with balcony

Review 36:We didn't find the lounge area till the following morning. The municipal car park is expensive and the exit is round the other side, so you get lost trying to return to the hotel.

Review 37:Comfortable, friendly, well appointed, good breakfast.

Review 38:No parking unless you are lucky enough to find one in the street. Parked underground at a cost of €18.50 for one night.

Review 39:That situation of the hotel, the staff the food, the cleanliness

Review 40:The room was not as good as last time and had a smell of a smoker

Review 41:The character of the hotel

Review 42:Some items broken in room

Review 43:Friendly receptionist, good location, interesting building, interesting town.

Review 44:Amazing value for the price, beautiful location, 100% return on our part!

Review 45:poor parking information given on website prior to arrival.

Review 46:Good location. Excellent breakfast included in price.

Review 47:The bathroom to small

Review 48:The room

Review 49:No wifi in the rooms

Review 50:We're it was

Review 51:rgreat room was a bit smsll

Review 52:Location was great

Review 53:nothing particularly

Review 54:old style hotel

Review 55:location

Review 56:Comfortable and very good value, the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Good choice buffet breakfast.

Review 57:staff very good . hotel still back in 1950 needs total refurb.no aircon.crampted bedroom.old wiring not up to present standards.

Review 58:view from bedroom

Review 59:Only public parking available although next to hotel but car damaged overnight with no hope of finding culprit.

Review 60:The location was excellent

Review 61:No parking and expensive in town

Review 62:no parking local police very hard work

Review 63:good location food very nice good nice people nice food and very clean

Review 64:Good location, comfortable and a fair breakfast, very helpful staff.

Review 65:no parking close to hotel

Review 66:perfect location

Review 67:Best hotel we stayed in during our trip around the Spanish Pyrenees. Great location looking onto the Citadela. Atmospheric building with a great fin-de-siecle ambience. Something interesting to see on every landing. The Salon de The is not to be missed! Comfortable room, nice balcony with good view even though it was at the side. Front-facing rooms would be even better. Friendly staff. Plenty of free street parking nearby.

Review 68:No aircon but not especially hot when we were there, might be an issue on hot eves Shower only and one of those cheap cubicles, lots of functions but doors v difficult to close properly resulting in water on bathroom floor

Review 69:Nice room overlooking citadel with balcony. Paid for a basic twin, bathroom was renovated, beds were good, flat screen TV, old pictures and basic wall decor. Great location. Fast efficient check-in , reception always manned. Breakfast - cafeteria style but good for included one- yogurts, cereals, bread, spreads, ham, cheese, juice( not sure real), coffee/tea. Nice first floor guest lounge.

Review 70:nothing it was one of the best hotels and locations of the trip.

Review 71:Amazing hotel with lots of amazing antiques and pictures all around the the place. Will make sure we go again.

Review 72:Staff could be a bit more aproachable and friendly onarrival........rooms were lovely decorated and clean, but having a falsewall we could hear our neighbours every move.....waking us up at allhours.....

Review 73:The hotel was very old and just the style we like...very central ..

Review 74:The noisy guests! We hardly had any sleep and had a long drive the next day. Although the hotel was not in any way to blame for the ignorance of a few.

Review 75:The management acted fairly quickly when there was a problem with noisy guests during the early hours.

Review 76:Hardly something that affected my stay but the room decoration wasbizarre. The concept of design, pastel shades and co-ordinated tilingwas very good but the work was done so amateur in execution. The rosewall paint has sort of drifted in places to daubs on the white ceiling. How could the supervisor sign off such a poor job? It is really sad, asthis is the only adverse thing I can comment on.

Review 77:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception was efficient. I got theroom on the ground floor that I had reserved. Although small everythingin the bathroom worked. The room although over furnished was spotless. The room maids clearly take a pride in their job. The restaurant staffspoke no English but went to great efforts to find an English speaker totranslate the menu. Hotel Mur is at the edge of the pedestrian zone ofJaca and has a number of reserved parking spaces. It is about 100 metresfrom the cathedral

Review 78:The advertisement for the hotel said there was AC. There was none in our room. Fortunately we didn´t need it.

Review 79:The location was unbeatable. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Review 80:The Staff were very helpful, polite and willing to do the extra likeconfirming our late arrival by email and mobile message. The Hotel issituated in a excellent position with plenty of free parking directlyopposite and only 10 minutes walk to the Old Town Centre. The rooms aretraditional which give you a true feeling of been in France. We willdefinately stay again when in the area and recommend the Hotel.

Review 81:It was advertised as free parking close by but this was impossible tofind so the public car parked € 16.90 a day.We could have stayed atanother Hotel plus free parking for the same price. This spoilt our stayhaving to walk with luggage to the carpark.

Review 82:Big coach tour arivedand only affected us at breakfast En suite very small

Review 83:Lack of water pressure & hot water, very poor breakfast, dirty walls in room.

Review 84:Comfortable beds/pillows, low price.

Review 85:Friendly reception very interesting old hotel. Jaca is a lovely town

Review 86:Restaurant was poor. Grab the plastic tray and get in the queue.

Review 87:Close to park and town centre

Review 88:all of it it smelt of sewers the noise from the road was deafing all night

Review 89:Proximity to city center

Review 90:The only down side was parking, the under ground secure parking was alittle over priced.

Review 91:Very handy to the fort, we had a view directly opposite.

Review 92:Very nice hotel with loads of character and very reasonable

Review 93:bottle bank outside

Review 94:right on the edge of the old town decent breakfast good shower
