Reviews for Casa Rural La Furnia
Review 1:You need a car with a decent engine - the cottage is 1km up a very steep hill and our 1.1litre Fiesta didn't take kindly to it!
Review 2:Fabulous cottage, Juan Carlos was extremely helpful. The entrance in is tricky (6 inches too far left and you'll scratch the entire side of your car, 6 inches too far right and you'll drop 8 feet into a vineyard!) but you get used to it. Perfect spot to explore the North of Tenerife.
Review 3:We could not stay more!
Review 4:The location, the house, the pool everything was just amazing! Really loved my time here, I almost cried when the plane took off. Beautiful island, beautiful and also a little bit adventurous place to stay... definitely recommended.
Review 5:location of the house itself is maybe not the best choice for a winter holiday -> no sunlight inside the house (but probably I am a bit spoiled) toaster would have been nice
Review 6:very friendly, reliable and caring host nice and sunny terrace beautiful view very quiet area although rather close to town / amenities
Review 7:There is not anything what we did'nt like, but we found it veryneccesary to have a car by the house, because when you have to carry theshopping to the house, you have a very heavy trip ahead. That's allI have to say in this part of the review.
Review 8:What I liked was the accomodation and the freedom around the house. Thegarden is very big and there are more levels, one with a heard and abbq and one with a place under the parasol. The view is also very nice,a very wide look around ( beautiful). The house is styleful with enoughspace to live and sleep. There were more pillows and blankets to useand the bed is very good. You can do the washes and hang it outside. What we could say is that the house is very comfortable and it is fineliving in it.
Review 9:Unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn't working, so we had to piggy-back next door's signal (with prior agreement), but we could only get a signal outside. Also, access to the property is via a *very* narrow alley with a 6 foot drop on one side into a vinyard, with a 90 degree turn up a steep hill. Although the property is lovely, I wouldn't recommend it for nervous or inexperienced drivers.
Review 10:The house is beautiful, and the 'dining cave' cut into the hillside was really unusual. The view across the vinyard down to the sea was a fantastic thing to greet us each morning. Juan Carlos, the owner, was lovely and very helpful (even helping us to change a tyre when our car got a puncture). Despite the language barrier (his English and our Spanish were both very basic), we managed to sort out everything we needed for our stay, and Juan Carlos gave us a map and highlighted a number of interesting places to visit.
Review 11:Our stay was a bit too short but no regret, we'll come back home Juan Carlos another year...
Review 12:Very good level of comfort and equipment of the cottage. The location is very quiet but very convenient to access different parts (west, north and center) of the island. Very good advice for our guests to help us choose where to go depending on our preferences. The shops in Icod allows you to make your shopping without the crowd of big cities like Puerto de la Cruz.
Review 13:Juan Carlos is a very charming and helpfull owner. The views, terrace and environment of the house, located in a quiet area
Review 14:Location and views. Peace and quiet. Splash pool and barbeque. Friendly, helpful owner.
