Reviews for Casa Baños de la Villa
Review 1:The pool is very small and not big enough to swim in or to have more than one group of friends in at the same time. Its difficult to park - however the staff did there best to accommodate us.
Review 2:The hotel was in a great location and the decor was fantastic. The spa, was the reason for going and it turned out to be just what we needed for 1 night stay. I will be booking the hotel again next summer, but I will be going with my husband for a few nights. we have a property in Alcala la Real just 45 mins drive away so it is easy for us to get to.
Review 3:Lovely friendly staff, clean and comfortable in a really nice area close to the centre. Parking a bit tight but small town Breakfast was not great a bit average but ok.
Review 4:The manager or owner was very informative and helpful pointing out the highlights of Priego. The hotel room was quite small for a long stay but very pretty and spotlessly clean, and perfect for a night or 2. It was also cool, despite the high temperatures outside. The historic Arab Baths made a wonderful way to relax on arrival with a great massage. Location is perfect.
Review 5:The bedroom had no view and the bed for two adults was too small 1350mm wide or 4ft 6in. in old measurements The room was too claustrophobic for me as it faced into an internal courtyard. The access was down a narrow alley and we had to trundle our luggage to the hotel some 50 metres and there was no local parking.
Review 6:Near town centre .
Review 7:175€ for a flat in a rural house in Priego is crazy, it shouldn't be more than 60€, this is not a hotel, is a nice rural house...
Review 8:The flat is big and clean
Review 9:Hamam could be a little hotter and steamier
Review 10:everything excellent from staff to cleanliness of the room, comfort of the bed and the use of the beautifull arab baths
Review 11:Nothing at all with the hotel. As is often the case it was quite difficult to find but a friendly local gave us directions and we found it ok. Probably best not to rely on your satnav.
Review 12:The hotel was beautiful, our room and terrace were superb with great views over the town and mountain. The staff were very helpful. And to top it all we had free use of the Arab baths which form part of the hotel which was a great experience.
Review 13:Breakfast was too simple for a seven-day stay. It would have been nice to have been told in advance that many things would be closed that week because of the feria (first week of September). Unfortunately two English couples did not realise that the British Empire was over and they were not the only people staying at the hotel, confusing the Arab baths with their local boozer!
Review 14:The arab baths and massages. The terrace. The location. The incredible kindness of the staff who were willing to do anything to please the client, e.g. driving to the nearest village to do our laundry for us because the shops in Priego were closed that week for the feria.
Review 15:You must be aware that there is a Major problem with the narrow roadsand one needs a map from the property to navigate the streets. Wedamaged our car trying to turn into a very narrow what we thought was aroad, following the instructions from the gps. So do not follow thosedirections. Good luck and enjoy.
Review 16:We liked everything, the staff were so very helpful and we wereupgraded to room 9 which was a 2 bedroom apartment with a balconyoverlooking the courtyard. The property is so unusual with the Arabicbaths and the option for having a massage if you want to. We can'tfault anything really
Review 17:No hotel bar
Review 18:Position in town
Review 19:Excellent location, very helpful staff. The. Arabic baths were a delightful surprise.
Review 20:Wifi access was weak for the iPad
Review 21:The suite and the location
Review 22:Localización, comodidad de los colchones y los baños árabes.
Review 23:Breakfast choice was very limited.
Review 24:Upgraded to suite. Beautiful rooms.
Review 25:Ideal situation and comfortable room
Review 26:The arabic bath & massage friendliness of staff central location
Review 27:Coffee at breakfast.
Review 28:Location to centre of old town and attractions. Complimentary session in the hotel steam baths each day.

Review 30:Everything
Review 31:Nothing really
Review 32:nothing
Review 33:Everything. looking forward to going again.
Review 34:Just a bit difficult to find.
Review 35:We loved the ambience and the Arab Baths. Massage wonderful.
Review 36:Excellent location but small rooms. Hamman baths and massages a real bonus
Review 37:Absolutely everything. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at.
Review 38:Loved everything about this hotel. The staff could not do enough for us and the location was central and quiet.
Review 39:Hard to find, even with GPS. The map on Booking.com confirmation is no use at all. Better instructions needed on how to get there.
Review 40:Spotlessly clean, well equipped (even an Arab style hammam bath) and helpful and charming staff - and excellent value.
Review 41:The fabulous baths lovely staff and very pretty streets around were the best bits , but the whole visit was relaxing and a fantastic centre for visiting Cordoba, Granada and surrounding Natural park.
Review 42:This was a lovely little hotel in a lovely little Spanish town. You must reserve parking and they'll send you a map without which you would not be able to find this tiny place, hidden amongst the tiny one way streets. I don't expect staff to speak English especially in smaller centers but when they do, as here, it's an added bonus. They were all friendly and very helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The Roman baths and steamroom a real treat. Breakfast had good choices - real fruit, yogurt, meat, cheese, bread, etc. Great value and a very pleasant stay.
Review 43:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities, baths and the massage were very good. Breakfast included was an unexpected bonus. Cannot rate this hotel more highly and we will be going back
Review 44:absolutely nothing
Review 45:This is a wonderful small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, lovely. colourful rooms, each with its own theme. Well thought out details and high quality everywhere. The baths on the ground floor is an added delight.
Review 46:breakfast very poor,tv and channels poor selection, and parking, but due position in small calle, no other possibility available,so no real problem. not easy to find the hotel from malaga direction due small streets.
Review 47:friendly reception, nice room/beds,did not use banos or massage, but prob. good.
Review 48:Double bed was pretty small for a hotel. The breakfast was very limited: bad coffee, no kettle (you have to microwave your cup of water), no hot food, processed pastries, etc. It wouldn't take much to change it. If you like the Spanish breakfast, then it's fine (I liked it a lot). Toast with tinned chopped tomatoes, ham and cheese.
Review 49:Nice location, handy parking and it was fun using the baths. I didn't really need to do it three days running though. The double bed was pretty small for the two of us so we changed to a twin room. Staff were really helpful and did everything to help if there was a problem (moving rooms, fixing the dvd player)
Review 50:We couldn't have chosen anywhere more romantic.....or better! From the warm and helpful welcome to finding we had been upgraded to the beautiful suite at the top of the house, everything was pretty well perfect. Our bed was covered in rose petals (easily tidied for re-cycling!) and was comfortable and quiet with a view over the rooftops to the mountains of the Subbetica. We had e-mailed ahead with our arrival time and reserved a car-parking space very close to the hotel. Arrival with satnav is a little confusing due to changes in the one way system. Don't be intimidated - make sure you have the hotel telephone number and they will guide you in from nearby Plaza Abad Palomino (parking and terrace cafes). The lift - unusual in a small hotel - was very handy and the cold drinks machine at the bottom was invaluable for refreshment after a few hours in the autumn sunshine. Breakfast is in the normal Spanish style and is more than adequate - especially with so many good lunch options in the town. Reception staff spoke excellent English and provided some really useful restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. Priego is a marvellous small town, packed with sights and with a genuine civic pride evident in its community. The town centre cafes and bars were buzzing mid morning and early evening - even on a Monday night. We ate consistently well in Priego and the rabo de toro at the Balcon de Adarve was my most memorable dish for many a year. We shall definitely return.
Review 51:The breakfast was very disappointing. I suggest a kettle is available. I had to put water for tea in a cup and microwave it. Some fresh tomatoes would go well with the meats and cheeses. A parking spot was available but it was scary having to drive along the balcony road with a sheer cliff drop the other side of the railings.
Review 52:I loved the location, the baths, massage and very attractive room. It was great to be able to walk to great restaurants within minutes.
Review 53:Would have been nice to get a proper cup of coffee in the morning instead of vending machine coffee.
Review 54:Beautiful hotel set within the old town of priego de cordoba. Beautiful rooms, really lovely boutique style hotel. The free hammam session included in your stay is a fantastic extra touch. The hotel is immaculately clean, staff are friendly and there is a roof terrace with sunbathing area and a plunge pool which overlooks the church. Breakfast is of a good standard, toast, preserves, fresh fruit, pastries, cheese and cured meats. A lovely hotel!!!
Review 55:Priego is a beautiful relaxing town. Very clean and the arabian baths a bonus. The hotel is in a superb location. Helpful, and friendly staff. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Review 56:It is very hard to find and to find their parking. I think they need to send instructions to guests. This was our 3rd visit and we still spent about 30 minutes trying to find the parking behind the hotel which is in one of the beautiful but narrow, narrow streets.
Review 57:We love the ambience and the Moorish Baths and Massage are just so relaxing. The little streets around are beautiful and filled with Geraniums. The old town which the hotel is in is delightful and plenty of places to eat in the nearby plazas.
Review 58:Nothing, nada, rien, niets!
Review 59:Que fantastico! Fantastic surprise! Un vrai bonheur! Great village, fantastict view, beautiful hotel, very profesional service, the bath and massage are a great bonus. I should keep myself quiet so that this destination doesn't become too crowded but I can't help! Enjoy. Geniet ervan!
Review 60:Breakfast could be improved.
Review 61:Friendly and helpfull staff, nice loacation in the midst of the old town. A bit hard to find, but that could well be due to our lack of preparations.
Review 62:Nothing, great hotel.
Review 63:After having trouble finding the hotel, the place turned out to be thejewel of our entire Spain vacation. Great helpful staff, greatfacilities and the arabic baths too. Good healthy breakfast and freeparking, too.
Review 64:The hotel itself is a little hard to find. Our Garmin got us there butothers, who were joining us, were not so lucky with theirs. However, once you get there, you'll find it well worth the effort.
Review 65:What didn't we like? The staff were helpful and very friendly. The roomswere well-appointed, clean, and quiet. In addition, the use of theTurkish baths (included in the room rate) provided a wonderful way torelax after a day of sightseeing. This hotel is quaint but a lot ofthought has gone into the amenities provided. I would highly recommendthis hotel to anyone wanting to use Priego de Cordoba as a jumping offplace for other cities such as Granada.
Review 66:Not much to dislike. Room was small but adequate. Breakfast was good,Staff helpful and friendly and baths were worth a drive out of your way.
Review 67:This place was great. A solid 9.5-10. The Turkish baths were initialllythe draw. The aroma therapy was a nice touch afte 16 days travelingaround out of a suitcase. The massages were a nice and welcome touch. The town is cute and worth a stop. This place even had parking out frontbut the route required to be taken is one for Indiana Jones.
Review 68:We thought this little hotel, tucked away in the heart of Priego De Cordoba was exquisite. The staff were very attentive. We made use of the Arabic baths and took advantage of the superb massage. We were asked which time slot we would like for use of the facilities and we had sole use for a two hour slot. We were too tired to go out first night, so the guy on reception ordered us pizza in and set the table up in the dinning area for us to eat it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it is just wonderful, a true hidden jem.
Review 69:Difficult to park nearby.
Review 70:Tucked in the lanes of the old town. Free use of the baths. Lovely appartment for a family.
Review 71:lack of parking place/difficulty to reach the address
Review 72:great location and hotel facilities
Review 73:Slightly dificult to find and the rooms aré not well soundproofed
Review 74:Excellent welcome and the baths and massages aré great. A very well run hotel.
Review 75:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Turkish bath was reallyenjoyable.
Review 76:rooms quite small; getting car to hotel parking not for the faint hearted
Review 77:stylish and equipped to high standard; right in heart of old town
Review 78:Friendly staff, surprisingly great spa in such a compact hotel. Must recommend massage. Rooms are excellent.
Review 79:Recently beautifully refurbished. Staff very helpful. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The Arabic baths and massage were superb
Review 80:Breakfast a bit ordinary
Review 81:Lovely small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet. Enjoyed the Arab bath and massage.
