Reviews for Cueva La Ermita

Review 1:Couches were uncomfortable and the bed wasn't much better, the shower was a joke. The house was mostly clean but the microwave hadn't been cleaned in a while and the dishwasher hadn't been emptied. Not too happy with being told to leave at 09.45.

Review 2:The house itself was decorated nicely

Review 3:The surrounding location was really rather a bit of a rubbish tip, although that was the fault of the local authority rather than that of the owner. The cave was very expensively and almost luxuriously furnished but there were some surprising omissions. There was no kettle and not a sharp knife in the place (there was only one kitchen knife and that was so blunt that we used a dinner knife instead to cut up fruit). There was no way to sharpen the only knife. The shower was a marvel with water coming jets from all over the place; unfortunately we could not work out how to turn it on and had to ask the owner to show us.

Review 4:- Whilst I loved everything about the cave and it's location, there is a little word of warning - it is a cave - and this means there is poor light (so you need lights on most of the time) and there is no noise (this can be a bit disconcerting, as you can't hear anything that is going on outside)

Review 5:- It was different (ie in a cave). It was not what I was expecting a cave to be like. This one is a well appointed home. - The quality of the fixtures and fittings in the cave. Many of the pieces of furniture had been restored by the owner. The quality of the restoration work is outstanding. One item that I was particularly impressed with is a restored folding Singer sewing machine (you have to be of a certain age to understand what I am talking about). Not only had it been restored so that it looked brand new, but the wood had been French polished to a professional standard. - The owner of the property. Very friendly and so proud of the home he has produced. Everything is a real credit to him. - The good sized kitchen. All the fittings you would expected from a rented property, and a lot more !!!! In particular the fridge/freezer (I want one) - It had not been damaged by any visitors who who don't take care of places that they are visiting. If you are not capable of looking after a property, then keep away from this one! - It's a cave and so has a constant temperature of 20 degrees all year around. So, in the heat of the summer it is lovely to go into the nice cool cave (I needed a thin blanket on the bed at night) - Because of the standard of this property, I found myself cleaning before I left (and I am a man!!!!)

Review 6:No wifi Only 1 bathroom (but a very nice one)

Review 7:It's a very nice cave situated in the cave area of Guadix. No need for A/C in summer as the cave has a very pleasant temperature. Owners are very nice and helpful.
