Reviews for Hotel Ravel
Review 1:Wondfully friendly and helpful staff. Good location, easy walking distance of town centre and railway station. Room warm, comfortable and clean. Good breakfast.
Review 2:Shame there was no restaurant as part of the hotel.
Review 3:This was a very well located little hotel, just 6 or 7 mins. from the station and it was run by a very sociable guy. Nice simple place to stay.
Review 4:Breakfast
Review 5:Great location, also the owner could not have been more helpful after one of our motorbikes picked up a puncture on our travels he got on the phone to get us sorted and back on the road the following day.
Review 6:Breakfast poor and very disappointing. €7 for a glass of juice, hot drink, a very cold croissant, cold bread and pre-packed jam. Just warming the croissant would have made it better!
Review 7:Great location for walking into centre of Clermont, and also to the Stade Marcel Michelin. Thierry was a very pleasant host, helped us with parking at the rear of the property. Room basic, but very clean and suited our needs.
Review 8:Only thing negative comment I can make about the hotel and it may say more about me is that when leaving the hotel you have to leave your key hanging up (with room number clearly displayed) on a board easily accessible by someone just walking through the front door, just made me feel a bit nervous about leaving items in the hotel room
Review 9:This is a small, friendly hotel with plenty of character, it was very clean, the breakfast whilst being a typical french breakfast (they really don't do breakfast like the English) was one of the better i've had in France. We were there for the rugby and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who want a a good located, very reasonably priced hotel, with more character than a holiday Inn type hotel.
Review 10:Old fashioned in a good way and fine for a short stay.
Review 11:Very friendly helpful lady. Clean, very quiet. Short walk from railway station and old town centre.
Review 12:Breakfast extra, not large.
Review 13:Good location, 5 mins walk from station. Helpful patronne. Old fashioned hotel, creaky floors.

Review 18:Bed a little hard for my tastes
Review 19:Staff friendly and spoke English (better than my French anyway). Inexpensive.
Review 20:The walk from the station was through some slightly tough neighborhoods.
Review 21:Easy access to old town, not far from Station, friendly breakfast, good travel recommendations from staff, good open-air market close by.
Review 22:a bit old and musty - noise from surrounding rooms including a creaking 'prowler' on the landing at 0100 am! glad I had my door locked!
Review 23:location between town and station. clean bathroom.
Review 24:The hotel room itself, while clean, needs a refresh- new wallpaper, new paint, new fixtures. There is no elevator to get luggage up to the room. Wifi was sluggish and we could not Skype.
Review 25:The hotelier was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The breakfast room was charming.
Review 26:The owner was very friendly and the interior is has a wonderful quaint old-style feel. Nothing fancy, but clean, friendly and a great value. It fits my style perfectly (low key, budget minded, travel light, adventurous)
Review 27:Very clean, good location close to the city center but very quiet. Private parking for our motorbikes and very helpful owner.
Review 28:Easy to get around. Can park in street. Friendly host.
Review 29:Pillows too thin. Bed very hard. Smelt of vinegar(I think) in the lobby
