Reviews for Hotel Villa De Setenil

Review 1:Access and parking could be tricky, make sure you follow the hotels instructions and do not approach through the town centre!!

Review 2:Location great, views from restaurant amazing, food very good, staff very welcoming.

Review 3:It's tricky to find and park, but that's not the fault of the hotel but the labyrinthine nature of the town.

Review 4:Excellent location, very comfortable, friendly owners, great food and amazingly inexpensive for the quality.

Review 5:I wouldn't recommend this to the elderly or infirm if you intend to visit the centre of the town as there is a very steep hill to come back up if walking. That said, Setenil probably isn't the place for you if you fall into that category as it spans both sides of a steep valley

Review 6:Staff were fantastic. We went there for the fería and the manager gave us all the info we needed. Beautifully designed room with a large balcony and great views. Great typically Spanish breakfast included. Wine prices good.

Review 7:Small ennoying details in our room like dripping shower, not really working air conditioning, springy beds...but overall alright for 2 nights.

Review 8:Location with over view on a canyon. Boutique hotel located on the hight part of the village of Setenil, very quiet. The hotel is alright and fair value. The design is modern but not very well maintained so for our experience some details where ennoying. Breakfast is simple but good enough.

Review 9:The location was excellent to explore the picturesque village

Review 10:The bathroom needed a bit of work to stop the shower flooding

Review 11:Fantastic staff and quality of service was fantastic

Review 12:Modern, clean, well run facility with friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Located in area of cave houses. Would highly recommend.

Review 13:Underfloor heating was fantastic, making a Winter weekend there very pleasant.

Review 14:We did like the hotel, the owners and the food!

Review 15:Location in the city centre.

Review 16:Nothing!

Review 17:Clean comfortable room, loved the private patio area outside. Food was good and staff very helpful

Review 18:Setenil's lack of clear road names at all junctions & not enough direction signs to the hotel. Also lack of parking near hotel. Underground car park near but not in useable state. Directions to hotel should avoid the many narrow streets of town centre. Use main roads round edge of town until very close to hotel.

Review 19:Location of hotel - although very hard to find hotel , even with SatNav. Enjoyed Spanish atmosphere & friendly Staff, peace & quiet.

Review 20:The limitations of parking facilities. - Poor conditions in and around the relatively small bathing area. Extremely slippery bathtub that should only be used if special precautions are taken in use - eg. placing a towel in the bathtub. Good-looking, but quite impractically functioning sink.

Review 21:The fascinating/interesting surroundings within walking distance from the hotel. Furthermore in the good spaced hotel room: mattresses, patio, cleaning,- and not to forget: the ubiquitous handyman Sr. Juan Gutierrez, who is apparently able to do any odd job which might be required,- and always quickly and with a smile.

Review 22:Parking is difficult and the streets very narrow to negotiate in an unfamiliar hire car.(There is a huge garage being constructed, but it's not open yet and it will still be somewhat awkward to access.)

Review 23:The location, the value and the staff. The manager was very accommodating and even offered us the full dinner menu in the restaurant, even although we were the only people there and it was the closing day, being Sunday.

Review 24:The hotel was truly lovely and had that special touch. Views from the balconies and restaurant of the houses situated under the cliffs were fantastic. Highly recommended

Review 25:Lovely place to stay very friendly and helpful proprietor and food and wine excellent in mirador restaurant downstairs Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

Review 26:Parking is a pain. I would not mention this if there was not a brand new public parking, financed with EU money (my money!) 100 meters from the hotel ... that looks terminally closed. Nothing to do with the hotel though.

Review 27:This is a small hotel in one of the "white villages" in Andalusia. It is wonderful! The owner is very friendly and very helpful, the room is spacious and spotlessly clean, good bathroom, good view. Do yourself a favour and have dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Would not be surprised if it got a Michelin star one day - but for now you get great food for a very reasonable price. Absolutely worth the detour!

Review 28:one of the best hotels we stayed in during a week long cycling trip in Andalusia; spacious rooms with excellent bathrooms, the hotel is brand new with a modern yet stylish design - i'd definitely stay there again; the breakfast served at the gorgeous restaurant was by far the best we had in Spain while travelling on a budget; excellent value for money

Review 29:The rooms was clean and with very good bed. Nice view from balcony. Excellent food in restaurant.

Review 30:Beautiful location! Very comfortable room with a wonderful view and a tasty breakfast.

Review 31:Everything in the hotel was excellent!

Review 32:The restaurant was closed.

Review 33:Great rooms. Clean. Friendly staff.
