Reviews for Estrella del Norte

Review 1:The room without windows, broken TV and the worst thing I´ve ever seen : toilet inside the room next to bed without wall and door! Horrible, you are on the toilet and your partner see you.

Review 2:The room was freezing. Sea views room, they offered another room, much smaller and no sea views and a bit warmer for 7€ less . A bit overpriced for what you get

Review 3:big climb back up from town center, restaurant closing at bizarre times, lack of daytime bar

Review 4:beautiful views, great restaurant when open, great terrace nice appartment

Review 5:WiFi available but not in all rooms.

Review 6:Convenient location, close to exit road, easy to visit all the attractions of the island. Nicely decorated building and apartment, comfortable with lovely view. Ample parking space available. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 7:Nothing negative. Restaurant could be better, but they rely ofcourse on the number of customers (hotel is not in the centre).

Review 8:Good spacy appartments, friendly service, old-style 'inner-hall' with palms a.e., a (steep) downward stroll to the surprisingly nice centre. I would surely recommend this place! Nextdoor restaurant serves nice food but doesnt look that romantic/fancy (due to not too many customers?) Trendy local restaurant again at stroll distant to the right of the appartments. Actually we discovered more facilities of the hotel last day on the roof. Check them out.

Review 9:Breakfast buffet very limited (few sweet breadspreads, no honey for example; sometimes dry bread/baked goods. Rather Small shower cell. CAUTION: despite nearness to town center, VERY far up the hillside. If you don't have a car or aren't prepared to wait for the rare bus going up there, be ready for a steep climb up and down to the town/to the main bus station.

Review 10:Clean, comfy room. Freshly made omelette for breakfast in addition to buffett, several free WiFi options. Bus station into the mountains right outside for hiking.

Review 11:The facility is understaffed. The owner of the place is the only receptionist. Because of that the reception is closed most of the time and the lady seems overworked and not very helpful (Although she tries to cover for that with her beautiful smiles).

Review 12:I liked the rooftop terrace.

Review 13:Could not receive the Free Wi-Fi in our building, had to go to main building to use. No restaurants besides the resort restaurant were close-by.

Review 14:3 bedrooms plus kitchen. Staff were wonderful. Good value for the money. Canarian feel with then pine accents and gleaming pine tile floors. Away from bright lights of south tourist area. Authentic town. Pharmacy half a block away. Has an on-site restaurant.

Review 15:There was lots of space but it's all cheap pine and floor tiles. It's kitsch and uninviting. The mattress was back achingly thin. The place was a dark rabbit warren. Only TV in Eng was the news. It's right at the top of Icod so you really need a car/taxi or good legs to go up and down as it's a very steep climb. There is a kitchen but they don't provide anything with it - not even a few coffee sachets. At breakfast there were some very noise caged birds - might not be for everyone.

Review 16:There was space and the breakfast buffet was ok. It was nice to have a large terrace and the views were ok but it's all overlooked. The receptionist was very friendly

Review 17:No gas to cook for first night No TV for first night Slow in dealing with problems Busy road next to hotel with smog and noise issues Sea view rooms get little sun

Review 18:Large balcony Nice sofa Rooms well presented

Review 19:the village "icod des los vinos" is not nice. There is nothing. More or less no restaurants or interessting things to see, except the drago tree

Review 20:View was nice, terrace was large

Review 21:The location and poor quality breakfast. Coffee undrinkable

Review 22:The staff who served us dinner

Review 23:The big and well equiped apartment.

Review 24:Lack of kettle provision

Review 25:A good welcome

Review 26:The bed was pretty hard, and the ceiling leeked a little bit

Review 27:Helpfull staf and well decorated appartement.

Review 28:friendly staff and nearness to garachico

Review 29:It was very cold at night - the apartment had no heating. Lumpy pillows on the bed. Rather a long way out of town up a steep hill.

Review 30:Friendly helpful staff. Very spacious apartment which had great views over the coastline and Teide.

Review 31:Location is on really big hill so you need to consider renting a car or taking a taxi from bus station every time you are planning to go up (taxi is 3-4euro) North part of the island is colder than south (it might be advantage during the summer) Internet worked really bad inside our room (needed to go to the hall to make it work fairly good)

Review 32:Staff can speak English very well (uncommon in Spain) You get advice for really nice spots to see when you ask them Hall has nice places to sit Breakfast were really good and convenient considering location. Location felt secure

Review 33:Too cold at least in Jan-Feb, the radiators warm only a couple of hours in the evening, some days not at all.

Review 34:A very helpful staff. Nice large flat and terrace with outstanding wiews to the sea and mountain. Good kitchen with sufficient facilities.. Nice furniture and a good new television set. Good facility for parking.

Review 35:We had no rent car, which I would definitely suggest to everybodyvisiting to this place. We traveled with titsa and called a taxi if wewanted to the terminal. The drive is just 5 minutes and costs Euro 3,-

Review 36:Really beautiful spot in Tenerife, nice view, facilities and apartementin Tenerife style and very friedly staff. Very recommendable...

Review 37:bathroom needed improvements the ants in kitchen and bathroom

Review 38:lovely comfortable bed friendliness of staff plenty of hot water at all times lovely floor tiles and nice furniture

Review 39:It is not that I didn't like it but I thought from the ad that it was in the town of Icod and it is a five minute drive uphill from there so you cant walk around town but it wasn't a problem.

Review 40:The staff very so friendly and could not do enough to make you feel welcome. The location was beautiful and the viw drom our kitchen window was amazing. I liked the idea of an elclosed hot tub instaead of a pool.

Review 41:Poor breakbast and far away from the shore

Review 42:Everything was wonderful! Very cozy apartments, too nice administrator (she is the owner as well), beautiful view, quate and very Tenerife side!We had some probems with the rental car and we got support fromadministrator, she is the star, really!

Review 43:Reception opening seemed limited. Room was very small for a double but only there for 1 night so OK.

Review 44:Value for money, hot tub and sauna. Quiet area.

Review 45:there could be more kitchenware

Review 46:Friendly staff; very nice view on the ocean; large living room and kitchen; very functionnal; very confortable bed

Review 47:Very cold and humid in winter. No heating in the apartment.

Review 48:Staff was very helpful

Review 49:Quite isolated location.

Review 50:Very welcoming staff and fantastic restaurant! The best Sangria on Tenerife!

Review 51:Very bad WiFi signal in room. Had only cold water in shower.

Review 52:Big bed in room. Parking next to the hotel.

Review 53:Breakfast very poor. Pillows terrible.

Review 54:Beautiful room with an amazing view. Ideal bridal suite if you are ever at a wedding at El Rincon.

Review 55:Very poor hot water flow. View on the wall.

Review 56:Very helpful and friendly staff. Quite big apartment. Good breakfast.

Review 57:wouldn't take a credit card, also fairly remote

Review 58:good size room and kitchen

Review 59:room temperature cool, shower floor tilted and water run onto the floor (302)

Review 60:Balcony, view, spacious room, nice lobby, friendly staff

Review 61:Out of the tourist area. Locals only in the area. Handy for access to all our walking routes.

Review 62:Everything, the place is the real thing.
