Reviews for GIT Abentofail

Review 1:There is no parking. But if you arrive during siesta hours, it is easier to find a parking space quite close.

Review 2:The suites share a nice balcony. Location is excellent.

Review 3:The staff were very welcoming and we were given a free drink voucher on arrival. The hotel is in a really good location in the old town. It was a pleasant walk to see the caves. The hotel is an absolute gem- very comfortable spacious room with fantastic bathroom. We ate in the restaurant and had a great meal. Highly recommended.

Review 4:The bed is definitely the lowest I have ever slept in and as I have mobility problems my husband had to help me to get off it. Visitors should get full instructions of how to find the hotel before they go. The GPS could not take us to it.

Review 5:It is a beautiful hotel inside which has been sympathetically renovated. The bathroom provided a superb shower, totally non slip base. Well placed to explore Guadix, but not too good for people with mobility problems. Tourist train takes you to the cave houses.

Review 6:Room is a bit dark, could have more lighting. Breakfast is basic but nice. Plain white bread no brown bread. No croissants. But for 3€ you can't complain!

Review 7:Staff very friendly. Hotel is a lovely building with pretty interior courtyard. Our room the superior double was lovely. Nice bathroom and good shower and comfortable bed. It is tricky to find the hotel but if you look in advance its not that bad, we found it immediately using GPS. You walk to everything from here including the caves barrio. Highly recommended.

Review 8:Very difficult to reach with a car, a rather meagre breakfast. a venetian blind that didn't work very well

Review 9:Modern design hotel, nice service

Review 10:Parking problem

Review 11:Central, convenient. Friendly staff. Restaurant.

Review 12:Breakfast View

Review 13:The location was difficult to find but we get there in the end!

Review 14:Lovely looking hotel at a great price

Review 15:Noisy bar downstairs, which kept us awake until 1am. I requested a different room, however they refused

Review 16:Great staff ,ideal location

Review 17:Fabulous clean comfortable lovely staff. Couldn't fault it.

Review 18:Stylish, renovated house with patio, comfortable beds, great restaurant, nice lobby, friendly staff

Review 19:Yet again the restaurant was closed apart from breakfast. The front door yet again had to be slammed closed when guests arrived late in the small hours.

Review 20:plainly the glioabl economic crisis has badly hit spain - the closure of the hotel's restaurant is unfortunate

Review 21:its a great little hotel - very well appointed

Review 22:Window blinds that were not really designed for easy opening, and room lighting could have been better.

Review 23:Room quality was excellent, equivalent to at least a 4*. Staff friendly.

Review 24:I had problems finding the hotel, but that was more to do with not having GPS and the lack of street signs than anything the hotel could have done.

Review 25:Very spacious room, well renovated building and lovely (if small) roof terrace.

Review 26:Poor wifi reception in room otherwise no complaints.

Review 27:Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. We had a great room, a touch of luxury in a small historic town. Safe parking nearby, hotel was a little hard to find initially but no different to any other small, historic town.

Review 28:Room door's sound insulation could be better, but hotel was quiet, so not much of an issue Parking is tricky, but not unsurmountable

Review 29:Design, location, friendliness

Review 30:Surprised to find the restaurant was closed but not a problem as theresome good tapas bars within easy walking distance.

Review 31:The hotel was a lovely mixture of old and new but very difficult to findeven with Sat Nav. Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Staffvery pleasant and helpful. Guadix has some interesting old buildings andsquares and the cave house area was well worth seeing.

Review 32:Wonderful boutique hotel, small but a touch of luxury. The rooms are fantastic and the enormous bed was so comfortable. Difficult to find but if you just head for the Cathedral the hotel is between it and the Castle.

Review 33:Tricky to find. Best to park in Calle Barradas. If the palacio is onyour right turn left down Calle Santisteban, there is a sign to thehotel but it's easy to miss, and Calle Abentofail is on your left. It's very close.

Review 34:Historic town houses beautifully renovated to form a fabulous small'boutique' type hotel. Staff incredibly helpful, thereceptionist came with me to show me where to park. Tiny little roof topterrace with great views.

Review 35:Once you have found it its lovely go round the cathedral then right in to a square then park go up steps calle Abentofail so it's central but sat navs do not get it a minute from the square

Review 36:The restaurant wasn't available in the evening and there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and no hair dryer. It was also a very difficult hotel to locate

Review 37:The hotel was very quaint and the rooms were large and nicely decorated.

Review 38:Excellent hotel in the heart of Guadix! It is situated in a quiet area of the old town. Staff very friendly and speak English well. The design of the hotel is probably the biggest plus. The whole interior of the building is stylish and we really loved it.

Review 39:The only negative (for some people) is the lack of parking. But there is ample street parking nearby. The long stairs leading to the hotel could give some folks pause. But it's all worth it!

Review 40:This was an absolute gem of a hotel! Beautifully rennovated with very upscale modern facilities while keeping the character of the building. Tucked away in the old section of town, yet near everything, this was a real find and we loved it. Wonderful staff too.

Review 41:The hotel offers 1 small towel per person - 2 would do wonders.

Review 42:We consider this hotel is a bit of a find: 3 star quality at the price of 1 with splendid location in the old part of Guadix, nice staff and spacious rooms centered around inner courtyards.

Review 43:Basic conntintental breakfast

Review 44:Authentic Andalucian hotel with woodwork & fountains throughout. Very comfy bed in stylish bedroom with views to the snow capped mountains.

Review 45:The location of the hotel was a little bit complicated for foreign. There is no restaurant in the hotel. They had closed the restaurant 2 weeks ago!

Review 46:I stayed in this hotel for 1 night. I would like to stay 2 nights, but it was all full. The room was very comfortable, also very good with view. The staffs were very kindness and helpful. The internet was very good, too.

Review 47:The breakfast was limited but adequate. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 48:Excellent hotel in the historical centre of Guadix. A beautifully converted old property, with well appointed modern contemporary rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
