Reviews for La Casa de Los Arquillos
Review 1:It wasn't easy to find. It was only with the help of the tourist office that we found the place. The gps coordinates are good but I don't have a gps or want one.
Review 2:Very relaxed place. Liked access to kitchen with tea and coffee and facilities for breakfast.
Review 3:The location was ideal in the medival quarter of the city with just a short walk to the main square, where there are many bars, cafes & restaurants. The studio apartment was spacious and suited our needs.
Review 4:We arrived and they had not told us that our upgrade which we did not want was in a different area of the town, no one to help us we did get hold of someone by phone and then spent a long walk to find property our short stay was spent finding accommodation rather than seeing Vitoria. They must have double booked our room!
Review 5:Did not see much due to finding accommodation!
Review 6:Parking was nearly impossible nearby.
Review 7:Everything was perfect, the location, the amenities, the design of the space and the most comfortable bed I slept in on my entire 10 day trip in Spain.
Review 8:I would be nice to find a bottle of water in the fridge (and not so expensive for the owner). the staff was completely absent, you don't meet anyone. It'd also be nice to put a map of the town or a sample of the attractions of the place.
Review 9:the house is conventienly located
Review 10:The lack of a lift can make it quite burdensome to get to your room if you happen to carry heavy luggage. The staff, although very nice, messed up both with our reservation on arrival and with the payment on our departure.
Review 11:We absolutely loved the location of the hotel - a historical building in the heart of Gasteiz - the bedroom and the bathroom were roomy, cosy and clean. We really apreciated the little free "weekend breakfast" too. I would most definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 12:I loved the location on Calle Santa Maria. View from the big french window was of a park and we were close to everything - three mins walk from cathedral. We also loved the studio apartment. The bed was huge and so comfy with very cool light fittings. The bathroom was also really nice and clean with a fantastic shower. It was great having kitchen facilities but they really need to stock up on some basic necessities. There was only one glass in the entire apartment and very few cooking utensils. It's also a very short walk from Tolono which is the best tapas bar in Vitoria, in our opinion.
Review 13:Very charming room in an old city palace, renovated with much flair and style. You can't stay more centrally in Vitoria! The room is very well soundproofed, so if you close the windows, the nightlife close does not disturb you at all. Beds were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Review 14:Wifi signal very poor or not working, can be an issue if you need to plan further steps on your trip.
Review 15:Great location right in the old part of Vitoria. Well presented and equipped studio-apartment. Make sure you find out before arriving which apartment/floor you are staying in.
Review 16:We stayed here on a Saturday night and got very little sleep. The apartment is located directly above a bar that is open until the early hours.
Review 17:Central. Well furnished
Review 18:The entrance smelled a little. The room was basically modern, functional & charmless - a bit like an Ikea showroom. The view from the bed was of the open-sided wardrobe and kitchen. The mattress had a plastic coated anti-stain cover, which meant that you sweated all night. The room had not been well cleaned - take a look under the bed! It was the most expensive room on offer that night, and frankly poor value for money.
Review 19:The location is terrific, in the heart of the old town and within walking distance of everything.
Review 20:Although the outer walls of the building are old and thick, the inner walls are rather flimsy with poor sound insulation. Breakfast was very minimal and not available at weekends. Fortunately there are plenty of cafes nearby.
Review 21:Location, Views out, Friendly & helpful staff, light & modern interiors
Review 22:Room is a bit small, but OK for one night Could hear footsteps of others on stairs But overall we didn't mind due to the location and heritage building
Review 23:Inside heritage building Perfect location in the centre Beautifully decorated Continental Breakfast in attic loft Perfect for a short stay
Review 24:Having to leave to come back to the UK
Review 25:location unrivalled, staff helpful, responsive and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were simply very comfortable well finished and presented and spacious. They represented tremendous value for money.
Review 26:Pillows not that comfortable. No view at all from the room, difficult in an old top floor room but still a minus.
Review 27:Good quality bright room. Very helpful staff.
Review 28:Driving into the city centre and trying to park to leave our bags. A kind policeman helped us! Finding a city centre parking space.
Review 29:An amazing, upmarket place right in the city centre overlooking the square and the beautiful church next door. Superb breakfast for 4 euro!! Beautiful lounge/dining room upstairs (which we did not discover until we were leaving!) Very pleasant welcome and all the help we could ask for. So cheap for such a quality place. Beautifully decorated and everything there that was needed. Fabulous view from the balcony. City centre yet so quiet at night. Sparkling clean - best yet.
Review 30:The stairs mean it's not ideal for older people but it means you get an incredible view.
Review 31:The accessibility to the city and nearby parking were excellent. The hostess was superb and all the staff were very friendly. Everything is nearby from food to information.
Review 32:We didn't mind at all but just so that you are aware: yes, it can get loud (we were there during la fiesta and the whole city was partying until the early morning:) and no, you can't park your car next to the building (it's in the pedestrian zone)
Review 33:Beautiful place, nicely designed, great lounge and breakfast space (extra points for soy milk available!)
Review 34:Perfect location in the old town, inside a historic building. Owner is so friendly. Delightful alternative to a regular hotel. Keys were waiting for us, along with maps, etc.
Review 35:excellent location in the very centre, you can almost touch historical monuments with your hand from the window! (apart from the fact that you are actually living in one); close to train and bus stations; awesome interior design, very comfortable bed; ideal for a romantic city break
Review 36:Essential to print out instructions how to get there: quite tricky to find it on foot and even harder by car due to many one way streets
Review 37:Very helpful staff, comfortable rooms, very near main attractions.
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:Perfect place to visit the city and enjoy the stay
Review 40:Everything
Review 41:Pillows.
Review 42:Location. Very clean.
Review 43:In my opinion the best Place to stay in Vitoria great location perfect.
Review 44:Convenience of location in centre of city. Very clean and well modernized in historic building.
Review 45:Pretty noisy! It's close to a lot of bars so you have a lot of noise from outside.
Review 46:Comfortable. Nice complementary simple breakfast.
Review 47:En general todo
Review 48:When we eventually found the apartment, the location was excellent for exploring the city. Very clean & well equipped
Review 49:absence of an elevator
Review 50:location in the old building, but the room and common areas were up-to-date
Review 51:Great location , parking was a bit of a trial ..... However , that's to be expected in such a central location
Review 52:Historical building perfectly located and tastely renovated.
Review 53:Biggest bed I've ever slept in and very comfortable.
Review 54:City centre on your doorstep, spacious bedroom/bathroom, cosy communal area, helpful staff.
Review 55:Appalling breakfast
Review 56:Beautiful large room but no view
Review 57:Never any staff available, no breakfast, noisy at night.
Review 58:Good location, good wi fi
Review 59:Nothing, perhaps the fact that there was no elevator.
Review 60:Location, check-in, breakfast, all great!
Review 61:Breakfast cheap but sparse (don't ask for more coffee); were happy to pay for it Staff can be a little temperamental and gets easily annoyed Bathroom needs maintenance and and needs to be cleaned more thoroughly Could be hot on a warm day
Review 62:Location Room okay in size and decor Wi fi good Breakfast okay for the money but basic nevertheless
Review 63:Although the isolation to the street is very good and we could barely hear from the outside, we could hear everything (!) from the neighbors and other guests at their rooms. Including their argument at 1AM. Also, the isolation between upper and lower floors could be improved (foot steps) and some kind of conduct rules would be recommended to apply.
Review 64:The location is simply perfect, as well as the friendliness from the hotel staff. The decoration inside is very chick and quality standards are pretty good. If coming by car, parking may definitively be a problem to the considered in advance.
Review 65:Perfect location. Everything is right outside your door. Even though you are close to the main squares the soundproofing from the street is excellent. View of the mountains from our room. Very simple but stylish decor.
Review 66:Nothing.
Review 67:It was in one of the oldest and most beautiful building in the town, and the interior was well designed, modern and clean. Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff. We loved it!
Review 68:Nothing!
Review 69:The staff were very friendly and helpful. As we stayed during the bigfiesta, there was no breakfast available, however you could helpyourself to coffee/tea and cakes free of charge at breakfast time.Water and soft drinks were also available free of charge. Very quietdespite being the fiesta. Very clean and lovely.
Review 70:Nothing about the hotel, however quite difficult to find. Google mapslocation is inaccurate, however hotel explained they are in the processof changing this info

Review 78:An old building, so obviously not perfect soundproofing. But fine with earplugs.
Review 79:Amazing location, clean, nice staff.
Review 80:The bathroom and the roon was not perfectly clen, I saw old dust.
Review 81:The position of the hotel and the pesonal were perfect. The room was very nice.
Review 82:Parking to far away, didn't know that there was no elevator... but the view, room and location is amazing.
Review 83:If you are tall it is worth choosing a room with straight walls.
Review 84:Great location in the heart of the old city with helpful owner.
Review 85:Best location you can imagine very friendely staff
Review 86:Lots of stairs
